Great location

Really great place. Just know that this is the downstairs of a two unit house. Footsteps from upstairs guest will be heard. Otherwise a great place and location.

Great Stay with no stairs

Perfect location

This house is well appointed and exceptionally clean. It was ideal for our family including our dog. Just across the street from the beach. Highly recommend.

Clean, convenient to beach .

Management was quick to return a comment a concern and was quick to find solution . Clean, nice place for the price . TV’s in all 3 bedrooms and in living room. Has an upstairs unit which you be great for larger families . Dog friendly . Love location to dog friendly beach .

Great time with the grandkids

Close to beach access. Outside hose to rinse sand off. Large screened porch to leave all the beach toys and towels on. 3 good size bedrooms but dining table was in a small kitchen making it very hard to all sit down around a table for a meal.

Excellent house and realty company!

This is a lovely house all the amenities you could use. It’s a quick and easy walk to the beach very much. When you rent September the whistle take the risk that the property will be a little worse fo ware at the end of the season. This property was in excellent shape. The kitchen equipment and other amenities were obviously carefully checked because we had everything we needed and more, even beach, chair, and umbrella and boogie boards. There was a problem with the toaster and Vacase brought a new one within a couple of hours. Chin and out were very easy and the people kind and competent. I will definitely rent from them again.

Very clean and organized rental

Please be aware when renting that this home it is only rented top and bottom. I was surprised that I had only rented the bottom. It was totally my fault though because I didn’t read the fine print. The bottom floor of the home was clean, and equipped with what you need … no nice little extras that many rentals leave for you ..Be aware also that it was difficult to lock the codedfront door . They sent us a clip to watch after trying to lock the door for several minutes. Also WiFi info posted is wrong inside the home . We had to look Inside the book provided for the correct password. Overall house is very clean and beds are comfy . Only the front living room TV works correctly.. Beach access is right across the street which makes it very nice..

In the Dog House

I’ve never given a review in my life. I feel compelled. The premise to this review is to save someone from the disappointment we experienced. Pictures lie. This condo is not accurately depicted on the listing. It is a cinder block house, in terrible shape. Dark and dingy on the outside. Roaches on the porch, dead and alive. The condo smells like a wet dog. When you open the door, the smell is like a slap in the face. It has been updated some, but my 11 year old could have done a better job on the craftsmanship. The linens and pillows were stained with black dog hair all over them. The furniture was worn, stained and also covered in dog hair. The towels, beds and furniture smelled like wet dogs. It is obvious that this is purely an income property for the owner. I can’t imagine the owner of a property on Palm Blvd would stay at such a dump. Vacasa, your standards are low.

A great property

It was a short walk to the beach- down 2 houses and across the street at the crosswalk. The beds were all comfortable with plenty of pillows and nice sheets. The whole house was clean. It was nice to have the screened porch on the side with the outdoor showers for rinsing off the kids and their stuff to keep sand out of the house. I wish I had brought a laundry hanging thing for bathing suits, but there were four rocking chairs on the front screened-in porch that we used to lay our wet stuff. The front porch was big enough for a swing, which the kids loved, and it kept them occupied while we packed. The kitchen was okay, for a rental, but the knives were terrible, but I have Cutco at home so everything else is dull and awful to me. There was a good selection of plates, utensils, cups, etc. There were not any kitchen cooking supplies. I had packed some basic stuff, but there is a Harris Teeter about a half mile away that is convenient to go pickup stuff for breakfast and lunch. The house was close enough that we went down to the beach in the morning, back to the house for lunch and a rest when it was super hot, and then back to the beach in the late afternoon. The 7 of us all had a great time and I would definitely stay here again!

The only downside that we experienced, the A/C never got to the 70 degree we set, and needed to reset often. It seemed to default to 75. Also don't leave anything behind. They take your $25 non refundable fee, but I haven't heard about getting my items back. Hopefully I'll hear soon.

Great place to stay…

Great house in a beautiful part of town. Home is beautiful with large rooms, comfortable beds & very clean. Furnishings are great with lots of seating & spacious areas. Fully equipped kitchen with nice amenities. Huge yard & pet friendly. Plenty of parking. Really short & pretty walk to the beach. Only negative things I would say are that the rear bathroom doesn’t have any shelves or areas to put toiletries or even a toiletries travel bag. Not even a toothbrush holder or space for toothpaste or a brush, etc. So you have to take them into the bathroom every time you need them, but the Front bathroom is large & has lots of counter space. But this is something they can easily remedy. The other thing to mention may not be so easy to remedy as this is a downstairs unit & the top is available to be rented separately. Someone rented it while we were there & you could hear every foot step which wouldn’t have been so bad if they were light steps but whoever was up there, it sounded like they were continuously dropping things and running across the rooms. Could hear it all day starting around 7AMish. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Beach stay

Loved the Coastal Cottage. So cozy and inviting. So much attention and love put into the cottage. Wonderful location on IOP. Emily, the Manager was a peach. I came down with the flu and she dropped off some chicken noodle soup, crackers, ginger ale and water. I will only book with Vacasa whenever I travel now.

Clean and great location

We stayed in the lower duplex it was very clean. Easy walk to the beach. Front porch is nice to people watch. It is close to the grocery store too. In the down stairs unit there is a small and large gated fence.

Great house for people with older dogs

We needed to rent a place that was ground level with no steps because our elderly dog has hip issues. This house was perfect for that reason.

Isle of Palms getaway

The house worked out well for us. The house was clean and ready for us as promised. We had very good communication with Vacasa from booking through departure. We enjoyed the easy access to the ocean and easy drive into Charleston.

Great , easy family spot

Enjoyed our time at this rental! Easy, simple checkin process, got to the house and it was really clean, easy to access and well setup. Nice front porch to sit on in the mornings for coffee and there was even coffee there for us to make for the first morning which was great since we had a late arrival! Wish we could've had a late departure but understand that covid puts a wrinkle in the cleaning protocols. Found the whole place to be a nice getaway! We would definitely stay again.

Nice home in nice location.

We loved the large screened in porch across the front of the house. It had 2 Adirondack chairs and a porch swing, which was perfect for us! Our family has 2 dogs (labs) and the porch area, the back screened porch and fenced in yard was perfect for them!! The kitchen was very nice with granite countertops and nice appliances. The living room was comfortable and lived in..we like that since we have dogs but if you want to sit on a couch with no stains, put down a blanket. It didn’t appear dirty, just stained. (It is also cream colored so difficult to keep clean with guests, I’m sure!) Overall, we were very happy with the property and would definitely stay here again!!

Location great

This duplex is dwarfed by all the surrounding posh beach front homes but the Property listing is accurate. I think the upstairs property is the primary listing and is somewhat more luxurious in furnishings. But for our Pandemic get away the downstairs property was more than adequate. Rooms clean but sparsely furnished. The sun porch was wonderful for the puppy and AM yoga, and the swing was a delight. Would suggest real mats in the bathroom and kitchen.(not just at the front door) Both bathrooms were showing their age, but were clean. Nice to have onsite laundry for all the sand!!. Only other suggestion is to provide the basic spices for cooking as a courtesy.
