Great experience at the coast

The property was great. We have a dog and were pleasantly surprised we were able to find a place right next to the coast for a great price and practical amenities! Highly recommend.

Family event at Rockaway beach

My mother and I stayed here, which was a couple blocks away from where the rest of our family stayed. It was a great location and it was overall a pretty clean place. We had one minor issue that was relayed to the manager and they were very responsive. Overall it was a great choice for our trip to the coast.

Great place close to the beach and shops

I’ve stayed here quite a few times and I really like that they’ve kept the cost down while still providing everything you need and more. The place was clean, had a full kitchen with all the utensils and silverware. The beach was about a 2 minute walk if your going slow, and the shops were about a 5 minute walk away depending where your going. This is pretty much the only place we stay at when we come out here now because it has everything we need for the best price in town. It’s not perfect, but nothing really needs to be improved on it as it is.

Motel in rockaway beach

Price, but that's all. No view, noisy trucks, very old and ragged interior, inadequate parking, bed needed a pole vault to get into. empty your own garbage and strip bed at check out and floors not clean.

Good budget friendly option

It was great to have a kitchen and be close to the beach. The room was clean and had what we needed. The hotel is close to the market, Cafe, shops, and lake lyte. Things that could have been better are: The beds were very soft and sucked you into the middle. The screen was broken and there was no AC, so it would have been nice to have a window with a good screen. The table and bench did not fit the space, it would have been nice to have a bistro table instead.

Dirty dishes in the dishwasher! Door was filthy. Great to be so close to the beach. Doggy towels and poop bags a nice touch! We would have been satisfied with the stay if your fees weren’t so high! I don’t think we will be using your services again!

Ok, for a cheaper beach weekend

This room was just ok. Not the worst I have stayed in and definitely not the best. The beds were cushy, but sagged in the middle and were very high off the ground. The doors all needed replacing. No AC, so it got a bit warm in the room. Bring a fan or two. The room was clean overall though and not horrible. The outside of the. Building could also use a bit TLC.

Good stay close to beach

Could tell that they upgraded the bedding and paint of the interior but still felt like a cheaper motel. Walls were thin with so could hear other guests in their rooms. The water hose that would allow you to wash your sandy feet before going into the room wasnt always working so our room got sandy. All in all okay room for the price. Initial pictures made the room seem nicer so a little disappointed there. But I think for this area it is a good deal

Lip stick on a pig. Room was falling apart, walls weren’t fully painted, bathroom door rotting away, dirty pots and pans, and a confusing check in. Would not recommend

Beds had makeup on the pillows. Hairs in the sheets. Black handprints on the bed sheets and bed itself. Floor covered in sand and dirt. Walls were black with hand prints and dirt. There isn’t a long enough shower in the world. It was horrid.

Internet Access Was Spotty

They claimed to have internet access, but I had to go a day without it as I reported it after 5 PM. Check in is at 4 PM. Even after the guy arrived to fix it, it took him an hour to figure out that it was not working. He then gave me another network to use. A few other problems included a burner on the stove and the garbage disposal did not work.

It was OK for the price. We'd probably stay again due to the limited options in the area. The "important" areas were cleanly - like bedding, kitchen, and toilet/tub. However, there was a lot of dust and grime built up. You could tell that the place hasn't been dusted or properly deep cleaned in months. It was a pretty big turn-off for us and we didn't feel overly comfortable using the kitchen or provided utensils. Outside of our unit in particular, there were pigeons living in the framing. They were loud, and there were pigeon droppings everywhere. This place is also right next to the Oregon Scenic railroad tracks. We wouldn't have minded with warning...but were not expecting the train to roll through at full whistle at 10:45pm. We did enjoy the proximity to the beach, and I actually liked not having to speak to motel staff or interact with anyone on check-in/check out. Check-out instructions were lacking. We cleaned and tidied upon departure like we always do, but would have preferred explicit instructions on dishes, linens, and trash.

Slumlord Motel

This place was awful! The listing stated a house of which it was not! It was a nasty run down motel. The check in process was terrible and we had to call the 800 number because no email was sent with check in process and even with the email it was unclear. Dirty black hand prints on the doors, door connecting to next room with a deadbolt you cannot control, bugs flying around, garage sale appliances and I could continue but digress. It was so dirty we ended up leaving and finding alternative housing.

Cozy Beach Getaway

We loved our stay. Perfect location with walking distance to the beach, downtown boardwalk and restaurants. Most of the unit is outdated, but it was clean, well stocked with towels, and supplies. The beds were so comfortable and high quality (Beautyrest Diamond pillowtops - hubby is a mattress salesman). Only complaints are that it wasn't clear where the lockbox was located in the check-in instructions because we drove in on the Miller Street side and main entry is on McNair Rd. Also, box springs on both beds are pretty squeaky for anyone who might be a light sleeper, but it didn't bother us much. We would definitely stay here again. :)

Would stay again

Nice little hotel, a little run down and our shower didn't work but the room was clean and well furnished with both restroom and kitchen essentials. A block from the beach and downtown virtually across the street. The maintenance staff person was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the stay and would stay again.

Decent if you’re not picky, but no WFI

I mainly booked this place bc of the kitchenette and location (walking distance to town and beach). Unfortunately, not everything was great. The biggest issue was there was no WFI and no one contacted us during our 6 night stay. Also, the toaster didn’t work and the two fans were filthy. The appliances worked well, which was important since I prepared all of our meals. Beware that they don’t provide dishwasher detergent or replacement garbage bags, so plan according.

It’s was good

Great Location, Good for Dogs

Although an older place, this spot was clean and convenient. It’s a very short walk to the beach and an easy walking distance to stores and restaurants. It’s very dog friendly.
