Al's Nest a Quaint 1 Bedroom Cottage in Mentone

Cabin has one bedroom (king size bed) and one bathroom, has a full eat in kitchen with everything you need to cook and serve with. The cabin has a full size washer and dryer on site. It also has a wood burning fireplace ( one bundle of wood provided), screened in porch with hot tub, and a covered parking area. All bed and bath linens are provided. The property joins the Desoto State Park Management area, so you can hike to Little River from property.
Unfortunately, we do not have WiFi.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Al's Nest! The host left us blueberry muffins and other goodies, the cabin was stocked with all the necessities needed and plenty of firewood. It was the perfect weekend getaway for two!

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the profound sense of tranquility that permeated the entire property – it truly offered the ideal escape, providing the perfect balance of serenity needed to fully relax and appreciate life's simple pleasures.We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail regarding cleanliness; the entire space felt wonderfully fresh and inviting. The amenities significantly enhanced our experience. We thoroughly enjoyed knowing that there was working fireplace. We could have spent hours by the outdoor fire pit gazing at the stars, but found immense relaxation soaking in the hot tub. It truly felt like a home away from home.The kitchen was equipped with everything need to prepare and enjoy delicious meals, making our dining experiences both convenient and delightful.Given such a fantastic experience, we are already discussing and planning our next visit to Al’s Nest. Our favorite stay in Mentone! We absolutely love this cabin. It’s just perfect for a couple! Comfortable bed, cozy practical kitchen and dining area and living space with a fireplace! Nice closets and storage. This always is nice so that your things aren’t in the way. It is in a great location far enough out to be perfectly peaceful and quiet, but close to activities around the area. We live the screened porch and hot tub. And aldi the outdoor seating space. Shower is small but worked fine for us. There is a nice big laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The dryer was a little ornery, but I think the owners are going to replace it. This is our second time to stay here. We will always look for availability for Al’s Nest when we come to the area.

Perfect little getaway for our anniversary weekend. Very clean and cozy. The Fall decor was so cute. Loved being able to get in the hot tub at the end of the day or sit by the firepit. Our host also left us some delicious muffins and treats. The property isn't too far away from Fort Payne or the restaurants and shops in Mentone. We enjoyed getting to hike to Desoto Falls, and at the end of our trip we ate our lunch at Brow Park with a beautiful view from Lookout Mountain.

This property lived up to all positive reviews that I read about before booking it for our stay. It was very clean, cozy and smelled absolutely wonderful when we walked in the door. The directions were spot on to Google maps. It was quiet and comfortable. I plan on booking it again at a later date. And the homemade blueberry muffins were very delicious. Many thanks to our host for the great job they did on this place.

Wonderful as always

The perfect property for us. The cottage is cozy with charming, thoughtful delights sprinkled throughout to complement the season. The property is private and serene, and the view of Little River from the end of Al’s Nest trail is breathtakingly beautiful. We ventured into Cloudland Canyon as well on this visit and lucked up with sunshine and just enough snow on the ground make for an especially magical hike. Happy adventuring!
