We’re excited to welcome you to The North Shore House, a clean and peaceful ground-level cottage located in the desirable north end of Anna Maria Island, just 250 feet from the white sandy beach that stretches along the stunning Gulf Coast.

Following two hurricanes that impacted our area, the home has been completely renovated inside and out — with all-new finishes, furnishings, and modern updates designed for your comfort and peace of mind. The photos you see reflect the property’s brand-new look - updated, modern, and ready to welcome guests.

Inside, you’ll find a bright, open floor plan that seamlessly combines the living room, dining nook, and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, modern cabinetry, and everything you need to prepare meals at home.
The home offers 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 guests (including children). Two bedrooms feature cozy queen-size beds, while the third has two twin beds — perfect for families traveling with children.

For your convenience, linens, towels, beach chairs, and beach towels are all provided.

Step outside to the deck that wraps around the side of the house, offering a sunny spot to relax. There’s also a fully heated outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off sandy feet and beach gear after a day on the shore.

In the back of the house, you’ll find a small private pool with built-in jacuzzi jets, fully screened to protect against “no-see-ums,” mosquitoes, and other summer pests — so you can unwind comfortably at any time of day. Pool is heated from November to end of April. Outside the pool deck is a small garden surrounded by lush greenery, perfect for enjoying a peaceful morning coffee. With soft natural light and the gentle rustle of leaves, it’s an inviting retreat that blends comfort and nature for moments of pure relaxation.

Great vacation location

My family thoroughly enjoyed the North End Retreat house. The proximity to the beach, pool and location on the island were absolutely perfect. Also, the owner was very responsive and so willing help when needed. We have no negative comments only very positive ones! We'll be back!

Great family stay

Great week on AMI for our family of three. Loved the location. Easy walk to the beach, shops, and some restaurants. Pool is small, but was perfect for our 6 year old. Host was very quick to respond and helpful. The kitchen only has a Keurig machine. Just a heads up as we had to make a second trip to the store to get k-cups. We’d book again.

Charming and convenient mid century mod!

We loved this unit. Stayed with my husband and daughter (19). Great location close to beach access. Rooms are spacious and you have everything you need to be comfy. Plunge pool is of course small but fun to chill in after a day at the beach for sure. Beds are cozy. We will be back!

Wonderful Property/Great location

The property fit our expectations perfectly. Everything was just as promised. The property was very well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was was great to cook in and there was plenty of room for seating for meals and games. The beds were very comfortable and there was enough room for hanging and storing our clothing. The pool was fun for our grand kids and a wonderful location right off one of the bedrooms. The outdoor shower is great to keep sand off feet because it is so easy to track in sand. The location is a very short quiet walk to the beach. The beach is truly one of the best I've ever experienced anywhere in the world. It is 5-star if you enjoying collecting shells. It must have been a unique year because there were so many sand-dollars of various sizes. You really don't need a car in this location as everything is close, so biking to the two piers and into the restaurants and shops is so easy and safe. Even though you are close to venues this location is very private and serene. We can't say enough about the property and location, it was fabulous. The owner was wonderful to work with also very responsive to any questions we had. We can't wait to return.

Clean, well appointed, consider location

We spent two weeks and because the weather was so-so, having a good kitchen with everything needed and clean was great. After about 4 days or so the little pool was warm enough for a dip by some family members. All appliances were in good working condition - another plus. What is not mentioned in any of the reviews or the description is that there is a main north/south road by the back door and another one by the front door. Because of all the demolition and construction on the island you will not "just" hear cars and carts all the time! Especially the noise level from the construction and dump trucks do not make it a peaceful stay if you spend time in or around the house during the day.

Nice place, nice location a few notes.

We come to AMI every year at the end of October. We always stay up on the North end of the island. We would recommend staying north of 75th street to those looking to travel to AMI, quiet area, all residential homes close to the best restaurants. The beach access to this house is close, take a left and walk down a side street and you are there. The sand on the beach is perfectly soft and white. Never crowded. The house itself looks very nice, well decorated. The kitchen is great. Pool is a plus. Only issues are the living room is not super comfortable and the walls in the bedroom are thin. You can hear everything between the 2 bedrooms at the end of the hall.

Paradise!

This was the perfect house. It had everything we needed. It was really clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of clean towels. It was a 5 minute walk from the beach - and had plenty of beach chairs for our use. The kitchen was well stocked with new pots and pans, and plenty of nice dishes. The house itself was light and airy and SO comfortable. The neighborhood is QUIET!!! No traffic. Just the wind in the whispering pines. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Wish we could have stayed longer!

North Shore paradise

This is our second time staying at this house and it’s still wonderful! The location is perfect! We walked to the beach everyday and it is almost like a private beach! The water is clear and the sand is powder white. Lots of fun in the sun and the pool is refreshing after the beach. We loved the North Shore Cafe, Pizza Social, Poppo’s Taqueria and Ginny and Jane E’s. We will be back!

A Perfect Getaway for 6

A perfect vacation house. My family felt right at home. Everything was perfectly clean, well stocked and just homey. An easy quick walk to the beach. And we loved how quite the north end of the island was. An easy 8 minute walk to Pine Street for coffee, donuts, pizza. We also thought the pool was just the right size for our kids (3,4,7). Would absolutely stay again! Only suggestions would be more wash cloths and possibly a small laundry basket (I washed a lot of towels!). Thanks for a great vacay!

Vacation Perfection!

The North End retreat was incredibly perfect for our family vacation. The house was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen had just about everything we needed not to mention the travel-size toiletries in all the bathrooms. As a family of 5 this property is the ideal size for everyone to spread out and relax. We especially loved being able to take a refreshing dip in the pool after spending time in the Florida sun, and the easy, close walk to the beach was such a plus. Neighborhood is quiet and quite beautiful so bring/rent a bike to explore it. Location wise you have the option to see the sunrise and sunset in the same day. Overall, we recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful family vacation spot in this area.

Simply the Best!

My husband, son (12), and myself spent 8 nights here. I was simply beautiful!! The location was amazing, close to everything we enjoy doing. It is a quiet retreat with all of the luxuries of home if needed. We loved the pool to cool down every evening to talk about our day.
