My friend and I stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Steve is a great host and his home is beautiful. The location was perfect and we both loved having our own bedroom and bathroom.

Wow, what a beautiful home! It really felt like we were guests at a friends home rather than staying in a rental. The property is beatifully decorated and comfortably appointed, the owner is very accommodating and it's in a great location for walking the Savannnah historic district. Historic homes, museums, city squares, the river front, shopping, dining and night life are all easily walkable.

Savanah weekend

Or stay at the location was fabulous. Everything is immaculate. Very good location. Owner was superb in every step of the reservation to check out. Don’t wanna say two too much about this wonderful place because we want to keep it all to ourselves lol I highly recommend this location for a visit to Savannah

Great Location with Parking !

The house is ideally located for walking everywhere. House is extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need. I loved all the art and antiques ! The owner is responsive and easy to work with. We loved our stay in Savannah!

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

My wife and best friend's wife had been reading the book noted in title of the review. They were able to locate the sites all of the places mentioned in the book, thanks to to location of this gem. Town house was beautiful and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. Beds were cozy, kitchen was well appointed and again, a great location. We treated the house like it was our own, taking great care when using the tub/shower. The Uber rides ranged from 6 - 11 depending on how far you went and what time of day (and day). This place was great and I highly recommend it. Thanks again!

Historical Heaven!

I really wanted to stay in Savannah and feel the history and this home did not disappoint. It had all the charm and features to make you wish the walls could talk so that you could go back to the late 1800's and relive the past. Check in process could not be easier. Steve answered in 1 ring to provide the access code. Beds and linens are star-hotel quality. The street noise did not bother me at all. I really wanted to be in the midst of the historic area and so do a lot of other people so you would reasonably expect to hear some vehicles going by or the occasional happy tourist who enjoyed their fair share of fabulous Savannah cocktails. I would say I could hear only 5% of any outside noise but some cars and pedestrians are louder than others, no matter where you travel to. You absolutely cannot hear any sounds from the neighbors or through the walls. The parking was a bonus. The squares are so walkable but my daughter drove in from Fort Stewart and we needed a homebase to leave her car. So many eateries and monuments located nearby. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations in the information binder. Alligator Soul was worth every penny! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great place!

We all loved the house! The place had a lot of charm and plenty of room for the four of us to spread out when need be. The included parking was super convenient and we were in walking distance to all the attractions. We were actually a little bummed it wasn’t listed as available for next St. Patrick’s Day. Would highly recommend!

Charming, clean, convenient home

Steve’s place is located in a beautiful area, convenient to seeing historic/downtown and waterfront. It was so nice to have parking, which is hard to come by in Savannah. The home was clean, well cared for and the beds were comfortable. Steve was very responsive and accommodating. Would stay again when we return.

Wonderful week

Really enjoyed our week at the townhouse. Lovely place and well stocked kitchen. All appliances worked well. Location in the historic district was perfect for walking everywhere within 15-20 minutes. Some city road noise as expected (not excessive) but no issues with loud people walking by, quiet at night. Enjoyed having the patio and parking spot immensely!

Savannah Stay

We spent two nights in the 1871 Townhouse while passing through Savannah. We absolutely loved the house, it's amazing. The location is great for walking, and anytime you can find a free parking place in Savannah that's a huge bonus. Steven was excellent at communicating with us and information on Savannah in the house was very helpful. We could not have been happier with our experience.

We had a great time. Location was perfect for waking to sights and restaurants. Liberty street very busy, sometimes traffic was very loud at night.

Birthday/Ladies trip

I’ve lived in Savannah off and on for more than 30 years, but I wanted to spend my birthday here with out of town family/ friends. This house really delivered! The house is tastefully decorated. Great location within easy walking distance of all the down town restaurants, shops and attractions
.but just far enough away to avoid the loud late night tour and party groups. Very nice neighbors who are full time residents. Comfy beds
Well maintained & Very clean property
Kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms, Frig and freezer were spotless and the dishwasher was quiet. Parking was a breeze! ( and that’s a huge challenge with many similar locations) The house felt secure and safe. Traffic noise was not bad at all in the evenings. The owner was super responsive when I asked about the type of coffee machine (drip) and during my quick call for door code at check in. No other contact needed, as we didn’t have a single issue during our stay. Would certainly book again. Lovely property!

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

This 1871 townhouse gives you a sense of what it was like living in Savannah during the 1870's, Private Garden Courtyard, original woodwork, staircase, high ceilings, with modern bathrooms and kitchen. I have collected antiques most of my life and the townhouse is furnished with mostly antique furniture. The home has the original heart pine floors, pocket doors, four fireplaces, an antique deep cast iron tub, all to give you the feel of what it was like back in the day.
This home was my first home in Savannah and lived full time for several years before retirement. I live here off and on during the year, my other home is in Richmond Hill.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Parking is at a premium downtown; we have two private parking places on the property. We also have free parking in the front of the town house. The home is located between Habersham and Price Streets. The row houses were built in two sections both have different architectural features my home is in the oldest section near the center of the block with the only balcony in the front., The front of my home was in the Clint Eastwood's Movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" as the Row house with the blue painted front door next to mine "Lady Chablis" came out of during the movie and walked in front of my home. We have Major Movie Studio here in Savannah so don't be surprised to see Movies being shot downtown.
