Fishing and Family Fun paradise Oceanfront 60'ft dock 3 bed 2bath private pool
The most gorgeous view of intoxicating aquamarine water is the first thing you notice immediately after stepping into Sunrise on Sixth. This incredible view is visible from the bedrooms, kitchen, living and dining room areas but best enjoyed lounging in a chair under the covered area that extends the entire length of the back of the house.
You will find an open floor plan consisting of the newly remodeled kitchen, fully stocked with all the appliances, gadgets and dishware needed to cook and serve the day's catch, the dining area provides seating for eight guests plus 4 more at the countertop bar, and the spacious living area with plenty of room to stretch out. Floor to ceiling sliding doors in the living room and 2 bedrooms offer the views of the Atlantic Ocean and open to the covered back area furnished with Adirondack chairs, loungers and a dining table perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee before starting your day of fun in the sun.
Bedroom 1 has a King sized bed, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and flat screen tv. More floor to ceiling glass sliding doors lead to the outdoor covered area and private pool (doors do have max light blocking window treatments for those that wish to sleep in).
On the other side of the house, you`ll find the rest of the bedrooms as well as a full bathroom. The king size bedroom allows guests to view the pool and ocean through floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. (Light reducing window treatments are in place in this room as well ) Ample storage in armoire and large dresser which holds a flat screen TV.
The twin/queen combo room is perfect for the kids to bunk together or a set of parents and small child to share. Under bed storage and a closet with ironing board and extra linens are located in this room. There is a privacy curtain, not a door due to the exchange vent in the ceiling.
The highlight of this home is the amazing ocean view framed by swaying palm trees that can be enjoyed from the relaxing swimming pool with a built in sitting areas. Guests often tell us that after the first day enjoying the pool and dock, they were not able to get the kids, or themselves, to leave the house for any other activities planned! The spacious pool deck and concrete dock are furnished with multiple poolside loungers situated on the pebble beach area and many teak chairs overlooking the pristine ocean water. Manatees are seen almost daily-and will stop to take a drink of fresh water you offer them from the water hose located behind the fish cleaning station on the dock. Fish right of the dock and then cook up your catch of the day in the covered, outdoor patio featuring a built-in gas grill and ample dining space.
This home sits directly on the open ocean with 60 ft of seawall that can accommodate up to a 45 ft boat. Since you`re docking on open water, please make sure to use large bumpers and extra dock lines to properly secure your boat.
Sunrise on Sixth has plenty of off street parking available with room for up to 3 vehicles plus your boat trailer so bring the whole family or rent with a group for an experience you will never forget!
Max occupancy is the number of occupants the City allows and does not guarantee beds for that number. Please read the bed description thoroughly. This home has a maximum occupancy of 8 guests however we do have additional guest fees for parties over 8 in the amount of $50+ tax/night per each additional guest.
This home is pet friendly with a non refundable pet fee per pet of $150-350+ tax/week depending on the weight of your pet. Cats are not allowed.
Rentals are NOT required to be Saturday to Saturday, inquire about other days of week check in

Although we live in NC and owned/managed a vacation rental in Top Sail Beach, NC. , we could not help buying this house in Marathon. We fell in love with the Keys when we brought our kids as teenagers to introduce them to diving and fishing over 15 years ago. We bought in Marathon because after vacationing on various tropical Islands we started to do a comparison-we kept saying to ourselves that in the Keys the water was just as blue if not even more clear and beautiful, the diving and snorkeling was actually often better especially near Marathon, the food was wonderful and more reasonably priced, no passport or currency needed.
We love the location of the house. Being right on the Atlantic Ocean is amazing! After sitting on the dock enjoying coffee each morning as the sun rises, we are so full of gratitude and in awe of the beauty of the view from the house. During the day, we have gorgeous open water views and at night we can see so many stars in the clear dark sky plus the lights of houses across the channel seem to be decorated with Christmas lights. The other thing we love about the location is that it gives us quick access to sidewalks on both sides of Overseas Highway. We can maintain our active lifestyle-we walk to the grocery store, jog down to Key Colony and back to the house to burn off the calories from stopping into Causeway Pizza for lunch, my husband runs to the airport and back to maintain his triathlon training, and I walk to Bealls to find the latest amazing clothing and decor deals.
We look forward to bringing our 3 grown children-their spouses and children to the house for years to come. The memories this house will provide are priceless and will be treasured.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Everyone says "we never left the house!" That's exactly what we experience too whether we bring our children and grandchild, couple friends, elderly parents or just the two of us. Our favorite thing is to brew a pot of coffee early in the morning in the bright white, clean kitchen, sit out on the dock and sip on a cup as we quietly watch the sunrise. I roll out my yoga mat stretching my body and renewing my spirit with the blue waters of the ocean and cotton candy colored sky as my scenery. (You can too-there are 3 yoga mats and a pose poster in the drawer under the twin bed-please enjoy them-I promise its an outdoor yoga experience you will never forget). My husband gets the boat ready for us to enjoy a day of snorkeling, diving and fishing. We can be to the snorkeling reef or in deep water in less than 15 minutes. Some chose to stay at the house..and why not when you can float in the pool, nap in a lounge chair under the shade of a palm tree, read a book while waving at boats as they pass by, fish off the dock, paddle around in a rented kayak or sit and watch all kinds of sea birds, iguanas, and a manatee or two. They usually pop their heads up hoping to be given fresh water from the hose at the fish cleaning station.
The location of the house is perfect for riding bikes or taking walks-there are sidewalks that run along both sides of Overseas Hwy. providing a safe track to grocery stores, restaurants, and Key Colony. While sunsets viewed from the house are beautiful, there's nothing like eating a picnic dinner at Sunset Park --its the most amazing vantage point in Marathon to watch the sun sink down into the Atlantic Ocean. In a quick 8 minute drive you can be at Sombrero Beach, the Turtle Hospital or Crane Point Museum/nature Trail. Boondock's has great seafood, live music and miniature golf (30 mins away). Or take a day trip to Key West-you can be on Duvall street cocktail in hand in just a little over an hour.
Or don't leave your new happy place!
