Renew yourself at this peaceful/centrally-located 2 story villa located in Grand Bear Resort Utica, Il next to 3 state parks.; golf,fishing, boating, biking. It’s surrounded by beautiful woods and landscaping.
Inside the 1800 square foot villa is decorated with authentic log furniture, two gas fireplaces, a full kitchen, laundry, a soaking bath/whirlpool. a main level queen sleeper sofa. (Topper sleeper inside laundry room) Upstairs Master has king bed and sleeper sofa ; other bedroom : 2 queen beds. Sleeps Total 9 people. Soaking Tub and chef’s kitchen will spoil you! 4 new stainless steel appliances added June 2022.
Babbling brooks and trails leading to serene views. Starved Rock trails start right across the street . Miniature golf and children’s playground is walking distance , summertime gazebo serving food is walking distance.
Villa is loaded with kids and adult indoor and outdoor games as directly across from large outside play and picnic area.
Downtown Utica has many restaurants with great food , ice cream parlor, wine tasting, and more. Rent bikes , go horseback riding , or Learn about the historic canal and river or eagle watch . Whatever, you are assured a wonderful time :) … and because I grew up in the area I will make sure of it !

Easter weekend

We totally enjoyed our stay. Had our Easter dinner there and loved the openness of the mail flour, it was very comfortable for our gathering of 12 that day. Our out of town family (5) stayed there and enjoyed the closeness of the nearby parks. Highly recommend!

Spring Break Get Away

Property was well kept. The location was awesome for getting to the state parks. State parks were amazing. We would come back to this area.

First mini vacation ever!

So we drive from Aurora I’ll for our first little getaway ever. And let me tell you it was awesome! As soon as we walked in the place was very clean, spacious and very comfortable. My kids loved just trying at the condo . We will most definitely book again soon! 10/100000! The property owner was very nice checked in on us, during our stay! Loved it ! Definitely recommend it, the water park my kids had so much fun, and so did I . The arcade. We didn’t eat there bc we cooked . Or got take out. But yes so worth the drive

Awesome place

Everything about this place is fantastic! Comfortable beds, clean, plenty of space and amazing communication with the property manager. Definitely a home away from home can’t wait to book again!

Wonderful weekend stay!

My family booked a last minute stay in this unit and we were so very happy with our experience! The unit is clean and well stocked for all of your needs. Our host communicated very well and made a hectic decisions so much smoother! The property as a whole was great! Our son enjoyed the waterpark and the arcade as well as the jacuzzi tub! This property will definitely be saved for the future!

So beautiful!

This place is huge! Very clean and spacious. All the appliances you could ever need. The only complaint is the description says that it is a five minute walk from starved Rock Park. It is not. You can walk to the entrance of the park(15-20 minutes) it's a long road into the park and you are not allowed to walk on the into the park but the park doesn't let you

Wonderful Host!

The host for this is lovely and so very accommodating. We had a few concerns early on that were very quickly taken care of. She called to let us know all the things that we could do in the area also, which was much appreciated! We had a great hike at Wildcat Canyon and enjoyed several meals out and some good shopping. Grand Bear as a resort was not the friendliest as far as staff goes, but our experience with this VRBO was wonderful. Highly recommend :-)

Lovely home

This lovely home is spacious, clean and well cared for. The location great, a short walk to the hiking trails at Starved Rock State Park and a few miles from Matthiessen State Park. We also biked on the I&M Canal Tow Path Trail in Utica. However, our favorite part of the stay was relaxing at the townhome.

Utica trip

Was good after getting the A/C fixed within 3 hours of arrival. A bit frustrating at first due to heat wave and convincing the owner that we needed a service technician. After the property manager came out and observed the problem the owner then sent us a service technician and he fixed the capacitor on the unit and then it took most of the night to cool off. All in all it was a nice property.

95 miles from Chicago so you have endless city options for fun, shopping and activities. And since this property is near the center of 3 state parks we accommodate the city folks who need a nature fix once in awhile: Hiking , canyons, eagles. , waterfalls, rafting, kayaking, swimming, fishing, biking, golf and oh and let’s not forget FRESH AIR:)
