Nice cabin close to Athens

We stayed here while visiting our daughter at OU. It’s a cute little cabin with a nice outdoor space. The kitchen was well stocked, including coffee and creamer. It’s a quick drive to Athens.

Great cozy cabin near Ohio University and Athens

We had a great stay on a cold snowy weekend. The owners were great at communicating, and were very flexible with our situation, which I really appreciate. The cabin was well-stocked with coffee/tea/hot chocolate, and the laundry and fire pit with wood were nice bonuses. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect cabin

We loved our stay at Bean's Place! It was clean, comfortable, spacious and very well-appointed. It was about a 5 minute drive to the Convocation Center at Ohio University, very convenient. The hosts were quick to respond to emails and verveaccommodating

Exactly what we hoped!

The cabin was clean, check-in easy, and Karl and Eileen were responsive communicators. Stayed here with two friends and we enjoyed the kitchen, tv, fire pit and firewood, picnic table outside and a secluded yard. Was perfect for a few days away.

Easy to see why Bean's Place is rated "EXCEPTIONAL"

We feel lucky to have happened upon this most cozy of cottages. There is so much to delight in, but what comes to mind first is the warm entry decorated with seasonal lights, the window boxes of flowers, the beautiful, quality throws on each bed and the surprise treasure of chocolates in the canister on the kitchen table. It rained our whole trip, preventing us from enjoying the outside, but the inside was so nice that we still felt like we were winning. We hope to have the chance to stay again!

Mom's Weekend

This cabin was a great place to stay. It was nice to be able to spend time with our daughter, and still see the campus. It was very crowded on campus so we decided to stay in on Saturday night, had a fire and played games. I would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Quiet Getaway

Terrific place for a quiet getaway but close enough to town if you need something or don't feel like cooking. Very clean with the best drink station (coffee, tea, cocoa) in anyplace we have stayed. Yard games outside were fun to have. Would recommend to others for a secluded relaxing getaway but with all the comforts of home.

Very nice cabin. It was clean and well kept. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay here. Located in a quiet neighborhood but also had easy access to anything that you might need (gas, groceries, restaurants, movies etc). Nice outdoor game area. Great kitchen.

Relaxing getaway weekend

Bean's place is very clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. The location is great. Close to all that Athens has to offer yet also close to the beautiful Hocking Hills and other excellent spots to get out and enjoy nature. Despite some partial cloudiness, we were able to enjoy the Perseid Meteors on both Saturday and Sunday! Carl and Eileen provide all you need to enjoy your stay and are excellent hosts. We will definitely come back and highly recommend Bean's Place.

Just Like Home

We enjoyed our stay at Beans Place. Very comfortable With all that is needed in the kitchen, nice to have full size washer/dryer and so much more. We were very impressed that the hosts didn’t want is to do any cleaning. We’ve stayed at other Vrbo rentals that require some cleaning. We will definitely stay here again when visiting our family in Athens. Our 5 year old called it our holiday house. 😊 Hosts were wonderful and communication was great!

Wonderful stay

The cabin was clean, comfortable and just right for the two of us. Karl was particularly helpful when we had a problem with the TV remote. It was the user(me) not the remote.

Absolutely wonderful!

This cabin was exactly what we wanted! Off the beaten path, but close to town for food or supplies. The cabin was immaculately cleaned and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The hosts were super responsive to my questions and thought of everything to make this cabin cozy and inviting upon our arrival. I loved having cozy lights on welcoming us! Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lovely little space

I love how secluded this a Little piece of Heaven was. However, not too far from being close to everything. The owners were very communicative and handled. Everything promptly . Smelled amazing and very clean.

Cozy and clean and easy

A charming and cozy place, 8 min drive to campus. We appreciated how clean the house was, and the cozy fire pit with lots of firewood at the ready. I had coffee on the back porch and appreciated the quiet before heading to OU for the day and heading back to a clean and cozy place at night. Host was kind to offer trail suggestions for my toddler and responsive with all questions. Grateful for an easy and sweet weekend at Beans place !

A perfect stay!

Bean’s Place was the perfect stay for my family of three (husband and 10-year old son) while visiting Athens for the holidays! The cabin lived up to its “adorable” description, sited at the top of a ridge, with beautiful sunrise/sunsets over the valley below. The home was very clean, had all the basics we needed - including great coffee! - and the host was quick to offer restaurant recommendations. (Try the pizza from Avalanche) It’s less than a 10 minute drive to the OU campus and 30 minutes to Hocking Hills. Appreciated the benefit of a washer/dryer and fast internet! I highly recommend staying at Bean’s Place when in the area!
