Located 5 min from Old Tunnel State Park and the famous Alamo Springs Cafe, 8 min from Bankersmith and 2 new wineries, 11 miles from Luckenbach, and 14 miles from central Fredericksburg.

Awesome view!

Very quaint cottage with an amazing 40 mile view, as promised. Deer and a variety of birds were seen and enjoyed.Beds were very comfortable and a/c was very quiet. Not disappointed!!

Terrible neighbors

The overall home was adorable however I was highly disappointed that the outdoor tub was filthy as I wanted to use it, but did not want to go to the effort of having to clean it myself to then use it when I was supposed to be relaxing, I didn’t go there to clean.The neighbors were the worst part up until almost midnight arguing and yelling and revving vehicles so loud you can hear in the house and then tearing down the street multiple times said vehicles, when that finally ended and we were able to sleep. We were then woke up at six in the morning with them yelling and arguing and repeating the shenanigans. Would not recommend if you want a quiet peaceful place to stay as the neighbors ruin that.

Peaceful retreat

Very nice! Country charm with great views. We loved seeing all the stars after the light pollution of a big city. We also saw deer, birds and a chubby armadillo!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet with the location.The morning breakfast sunrise view and the deer created the peace and quiet we were looking for.

Charming house

This property exceeded our expectations. The house was so comfortable and charming. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying the view. The beds were so comfortable. The treats in the fridge were unexpected, yet amazing. The granola was so tasty.

Nice

I only wish amenities would have stated there was no coffee pot or Kuerig, only a French press. Which to me is a hassle to use and messy to clean. Had I known I would have brought my own coffee pot or Kuerig. Owners were very nice and responsive. Cute antiques!

Hidden Gem

We arrived at night and missed the sunset. Everyone in our party loved the style and amenities of the home. The decor was unique and comfortable. We loved the jukebox and stayed up playing cards listening to a few records. The beds were comfortable, shower was heavenly. We all made it up to enjoy coffee and watch the sunrise on the deck. We all wished we had longer to enjoy the home, but grateful for the time we had during our stay. I'll definitely return when in the area.

Tranquility

Absolutely loved our stay. They provided everything you could need while staying there. It was absolutely beautiful and relaxing to just check out from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We sat out on porch overlooking the canyon and just got lost looking at nature. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Very quaint little place. Very remote and quiet. Prompt communication with property management. Great views. Very comfortable beds. Highly recommend. If you stay here and are commuting from town in late afternoon or evening drive very carefully there are deer everywhere. We woke up to several in the yard.

Beautiful views!

This property was a pleasant surprise! If you're looking to stay somewhere near nature, this is the place. We saw a lot of deer and it's a perfect spot for bird watching. Keep in mind that's its a 20 minute drive to the main road and to downtown Fredericksburg. Other than that, my sisters and I really enjoyed our stay here. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful

My family and I enjoyed the quiet and peaceful stay in the stained glass palace. We ate the Alamo spring cafe and went to Luckenbach. Would love to return to Fredericksburg

Pure Serenity

We came for a quick weekend birthday celebration. Great couples getaway. Pictures don’t do this place justice. So peaceful, beautiful views, everything was very accommodating and comfortable for our trip, The only problem we had was our trip Was too short. 10/10 we would love to stay here again if we get a chance.

Looking for quiet and quick New Year's Eve getaway

We were looking for a peaceful place to spend New Year's Eve. The property was just the "right fit" for that. Beautiful, natural surroundings. The house itself quite charming! No wi-fi, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker, especially if you want to "detox" from devices! I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a tranquil visit in the Texas Hill Country!

It's so quiet -- you can count the amount of cars that go by on one hand most days, and the properties here are all with acreage so there's tons of space between each place.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We are a wildlife sanctuary, we have tons of green space and views that go for 40 miles in every direction from our unique hilltop vantage point. We are on a cul-de-sac with very few neighbors -- you will feel like you're at the end of the world some evenings, looking out over everything. It's so magical.
