Great vacay in an adorable cottage on a beautiful part of Madeira Beach.

Definitely recommend for all ages! Great access to the beach, dining and shopping! Will definitely return.

November 2019 Stay

We loved this cute little cottage. Place was very clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable and close to shopping. So nice to be able to just walk across the street to Johns Pass. Nice to just walk out to the beach. We look forward to coming back and hope to get the same cute cottage.

July 4th Vaca

We have been staying in this cottage for the past 5 years and absolutely love it every time! Our kids look forward to it every year. Parking spot is right at the front door so it’s a plus for me and unloading groceries and suitcases. The grills are also next door to us making it easy to whip up lunch/dinner.

Only complaint is The room wasn’t as clean as the past few years. The couch was full of sand and the AC return vent cover and filter were laying on the floor. It looked like it was in the process of being changed but forgotten about.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family stays there every year. This is our second time at this cottage. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t very clean, the floors were sandy, the kitchen counters and stove were sticky, the AC vent itself was dirty. Overall an update is needed, especially the Bedclothes. The bathroom could use an update and better lighting along with a new shower curtain. But again, our family rents yearly so we love it there, the cottage is in the best location as it’s close to the laundry (we have mobility issues), and very quiet I would recommend a deep clean. Close to shopping too. Otherwise, love the staff, very great team. See you next year. Blessings, The Agard family.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have stayed here since I was a kid. We still visit with our own kids, we have come back year after year and sadly the last 2 have been the most disappointing. We didn’t write a review last year in hopes that maybe it was an off year but again this last stay was again disappointing. It seems there is new management and the lack of care is evident. There were families leaving beer cans and trash poolside while playing loud music in which year after year this was controlled but this year it was a free for all. there was ( I can’t believe I’m typing this but) poop in the pool one morning ( yes poop) and it was not addressed until mid day and we were unable to use the pool for quite a while. It was discovered after I had picked up trash left out from the night before, this is not a guests job to pick up a mess left from other families the night before but When we reported this the office said “ we don’t manage that company” rather than trying to help get this fixed. The grounds weren’t well kept as each morning there were cigarettes and trash around. And the last day there were people actually lighting cigarettes and smoking in the pool, sadly the same group that had the music blasting days prior. I had to tell my son to stop swimming as I didn’t want him near it. In years past someone was on site and keeping and eye on things but after the last two years it is clear that this rental space is being neglected. The prices have gone up but the service has gone WAY down. The units themselves are wonderful as always and I will always compliment the interior cleaning crew and owners for this but overall it is so sad to have to write a negative review about the grounds and lack of care being given to the Surf Song as a whole.

Great Family Cottage

We have 4 boys and didn't need to worry about them running and making noise over people's heads. The unit was fully stocked with everything we needed. Parking spot right in front of unit. The floor was sandy and it was a bit slippery but that is normal for beach units. The pool was close the beach was close and John's pass is just across the beach. I would definitely stay in this unit again!

The kid bedroom the tv would go off then come back on every 5 mins, the return air vent in the living room was dirty when I checked the filter it looked like it hadn’t been changed in months. Other than that pleasant stay. Definitely would stay again.

Winter Get Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Since we were there during the Coronavirus Pandemic, it was nice to be in our own cottage. The overall location was excellent. The cottage had a parking space right next to it which was very convenient for unloading groceries, and a pass through the condo complex which gave us very close access to the pool and beach. Located across the street from John's Pass was ideal. The only negative about the condo was how dark it was. The picture shows it very light and bright with all the shades open. However being in the location it was, right next to the office, the parking lot, and the condo complex, you couldn't have the blinds open without having everyone being able to see into your unit. It could definitely use some white paint touch up on the inside entry door and all of the lower wood trim around the floor. In the bedroom with the bunk beds, there was mold around the window sill. Anytime you would accidentally hit the sill, it would flake off on the bed.

Beautiful beach

The beach is beautiful and the location fantastic for walking to activities, lots of water-related things going on (fishing,boating,etc). The property is well-maintained; however, the bungalow needs TLC. The furniture was stained/grimy, doors/woodwork grimy, broken blinds and unsafe electrical wires/outlets. For the money they are making, updates & maintenance should be a basic expectation. I would not rent this unit again but would be interested in renting a better maintained unit on this property.

Ideal

Unit 113 is ideal for our family. Ground level, at-door parking, walking distance to everything. Beach is excellent. Resort laundry facilities and patio area with grills is literally outside the door.
