House on Norfolk St

On arrival the house was dirty with hair and sand, so we swept. The vents are covered in dust and the pillow on the couch was torn. The front porch banister was completely broken and the stairs felt dangerous every time we entered and exited the residence. The beds slightly dipped down where people have payed in them. The bathroom is very small and the shower curtain was covered in dirt stains. The parking is nice & the area of the house. The shower outside has the nice option of cool or warm water. Nice large fridge and love the dressers for a place to unpack.

Affordable option for a small family spending a week in OBX

Our family spent six nights at Horizon's Edge. The listing reflected the property and its amenities accurately. We generally found the location comfortable and convenient for all our activities. The residents before us snuck a cat in... Not Vacasa's fault, but between this and a sub-par cleaning, we had some allergy issues. They were kind enough to refund the cleaning fee. We also had an ant situation twice (note that there is not a pantry on site for dry good groceries). Property management folks were responsive and apologetic. One note about beach access for folks who aren't familiar with OBX... It is difficult for pedestrians to cross busy Route 158, so families may be best advised to drive a few blocks to the beach, where public parking can be a challenge. All in all, it's a nice property with responsive management, and suited our vacation needs well.

Cute and cozy

The house is located in a great spot. It’s a quiet neighborhood and easy to get to the beach, stores, and restaurants. The home is small but practical. The house was a little dusty in the bedrooms which wasn’t so great. If you plan to stay here, be sure to bring your own condiments and cooking ingredients. Also, be careful on the porch swing. It’s not sturdy. Other than that, things were fine for our 4 night stay.

Baby-Moon Fun

This property was clean, comfortable, well stocked, in a safe and convenient location, and in the words of my wife “so cute.” We enjoyed a fun getaway before our baby comes by driving just a minute up the road to the beach daily. We would come back each evening to cook dinner in a well supplied kitchen and enjoy lounging on the comfy couch. We both admitted on day one that this trip was better than our honeymoon to Cancun. We had only one issue with the location: that there was no disinfectant cleaner for the kitchen…and I guess there was a less legitimate issue, that the toilet paper was quite rough, and we had to buy our own after day one 😅 we hesitated to write a review because we don’t want more people finding out about this place and booking it so we can’t come next year!

Property not well maintained

10 digit code for door lock is silly. Mattress needs replaced in main bedroom. Fan in main bedroom has no control runs on high all the time. We left Friday and went to a hotel in Norfolk. We would not recommend to anyone.

We love this cute little house!

The decor was just perfect for the beach. It was very clean and had plenty of towels. Easy to find off of 158 we hated to leave here when it was time to go. My only complaint is that there is that there are so many pots and pans in the kitchen and dishes that there is no room for your food in any of the cabinets. It is very well equipped with kitchen utensils and things like that.
