We’re sorry this guest felt that a stay in a wooded lake community was not the right fit for them, but we strongly disagree with the picture presented in this review. There were no cleanliness issues found inside the home. The property was inspected prior to this guest’s arrival and again following their departure, and the conditions described in this review were not found during either inspection. There were also no known safety issues, and the home and its advertised amenities were operational. Many of the exterior complaints described are simply part of staying in a home surrounded by nature. Spiders, occasional cobwebs, leaves, pollen, and other signs of nature can appear outdoors very quickly, even after an area has been cleaned. Unfortunately, a forest setting is not for everyone. The home does not advertise a dishwasher, and the size and layout of the bathrooms are accurately represented in the listing photos. Mattress firmness is a matter of personal preference. We also disagree with the characterization of the dock as unsafe. Regarding the kayaks, outdoor equipment stored near the water can naturally collect rainwater and outdoor debris between uses. This does not mean that the amenity is unavailable or unusable. Finally, the community registration requirements and applicable late-registration fees are clearly disclosed in advance. These requirements and fees are established by the community, not by us after a guest arrives. We take legitimate concerns seriously and work hard to provide a clean, comfortable home and to address any problems that actually arise. In this case, the home was inspected both before and after the stay, no interior cleanliness or safety issues described in this review were found, and the advertised amenities were available. We stand behind the accuracy of our listing and the condition of the property.
