Family and pet friendly

We hug Ave stayed in Sunriver several times, and this property really meet the needs of our family. We had our 1 year old granddaughter with us and a pet. They both enjoyed the property too.

Great Getaway

We really liked this place. It was clean and had agreat location to water and paths. Little further from the village than we normally stay but only a couple mile bike ride. Beds are not super comfortable was really the only downside.

Memorial Day 2023

It’s a little dated, but that is reflected in the price. A little far from main village, but close to river loop and off-road bike trails. Was a great getaway for the weekend!

Beautiful spring break stay

The property has a nice layout with 3 bedrooms with 2 and one half baths. Hot tub and grill were easy to access. Being close to the bridge over the river was great for walking the dog. Everything as promised plus great weather

Perfect last minute vacation!

This was a perfect last minute find for our family! The property was exactly as the pictures showed. It was an open and spacious layout with lots of room for all 7 of us to spread out and play games at the large family table. The close proximity of the trails and the river would be awesome in the summer!

Great house in a great location

We were in Sunriver for the holiday weekend and found this to be a lovely house. The space was great, everything worked fine, and we had plenty of room for our family of four to enjoy. The bikes were a pleasant surprise, in great working order, which isn't often the case in a vacation rental place. Some of the appliances and fixtures are a bit older, but we didn't have any problems with anything. The location was great, just a stone's throw from Cardinal landing, the river, and the trails on the other side of the river.

Great location

Perfect location for my trip to Sunriver. Quiet neighborhood area away from the resort. The house was very comfortable, and furnished with everything. Really enjoyed being able to park in the garage at night. Comfortable bed, furnace works great. Had a family of deer that came by every evening. Really enjoyed my stay.

Family getaway

This was our first family trip since our baby was born and really since covid shut everything down. Our plan was to take advantage of the hot tub, which we did, and to cook lots of great meals. I was skeptical of the kitchen based off a previous review but we found the kitchen to offer ample space and supplies. The neighborhood was very quiet and in a great location.

Lovely home located near the Cardinal Bridge. The fireplace was cozy, hot tub nice and warm, and big open feel to the main living area. We are a family of foodies who enjoy cooking. So the rest of this review is probably only relevant if you love to cook. With COVID, we had planned to eat all meals at the home. We were a bit disappointed in the quality of the stove/refrigerator (both appear to be old and did not function well), light did not work on oven to let you know what temperature you were cooking at, pots & pans weren't great and there was a lack of accessories (more small bowls please!). But would still recommend this home and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Note there are only two bikes that are set up with low handlebars--not so good for tall people!

Nice house. Beds were very comfortable.

We had a really nice time. Beds were great. Few little things need fixed, but was minor. The only thing I would suggest is a rug to wipe feet on after getting out of hot tub. Tracked leaves into house when cold outside.

This house is in a quiet neighborhood, 1 block from the walking trails and the river. House was clean, beds comfortable, loved the hot tub and the deck. We will definitely stay here again

Labor weekend, great location and amenities. Plenty of room and mostly up to date appliances

Overall very happy and please, we really enjoyed our stay. Beds were nice, couches were comfy, and they had everything we needed to cook. Spa was great, AC worked great. Some old appliances but they worked fine, the fridge was louder than we would have liked. My only complaints are that the floors are very creaky, so hard to walk around and not wake people up. There was mildew in the master bath. Regardless, that should and assuming will get fixed. With the pandemic and one guest being in cancer remission, respiratory infections are at an all time level so we were a little worried about that. So nails were showing on the deck that could be fixed. Great place for puppies, walking distance to the river and shopping areas. The pool was packed, which was weird during Covid but that's another story not related to the cabin. I would definitely go back if the mildew was fixed.

Nice location—place aging a bit

Vacasa was a great agency. Very communicative. The location of the house was so close to the river and bridge we could walk with our kayaks which was a real plus. The layout of the house was as described and worked well with our group of 7 adults. A well stocked kitchen and fully functioning appliances made cooking easy. All good stuff. On the flip side the carpet was filthy with tons of very bad stains—maybe that’s what you get when you go pet friendly—but it was bad. First day we spilled some ice on the kitchen floor and the cloth was black when I wiped up the water, that did not incur confidence in the cleaners. And with today’s COVID Climate—we decided to take some Clorox wipes and sanitize for ourselves. The deck is fairly spacious, but so old it creaks horribly and creates the perception it is ready to crumble. The kitchen and living room creak quite a bit as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in Sunriver and would use a Acadia again. The house was functional, but likely won’t return.

Great location!

The location was amazing being so close to the river and my kids enjoyed the hot tub:). It was a bit dated and the deck needs to be replaced (kids got lots of slivers). Can’t beat the location!

Well priced and great location

Goldfinch is one of the best locations in Sunriver, being so close to the river and the path along it. Having two bikes on the property made it a lot easier. Well stocked house and super easy check in and out. Thanks for a great trip.

Great location!

Cascara was excellent with communication. They were quick to bring us some matches to light the BBQ when there was only one left in the box. Check in was simple and easy. The house was spacious. The six of us had plenty of room. The internet was strong, which was very important for working a little during my stay. We loved the location close to the river where my dog could play. I would recommend this house to others.

We loved the size and location of the unit. Lots of extras: bikes, fully stocked kitchen and large hot tub. Quite neighborhood. Great layout! We would rent this unit again.

Sunriver is the best, and Cascara was great

We originally booked the house listed, but were moved so this review may not be applicable. The house we reserved was uninhabitable because the carpets were just replaced and the house was a disaster. This was not the fault of the rental company though, and they were amazing and immediately upgraded us to a new house nearby. If the house was clean, it looked like it would have been nice. The location is great (next to the river) and a 5-10 bike ride from the SHARC center. Perfect for families, and great to have a dog friendly rental house so we could bring our dogs. Highly recommend the rental agency.

Spacious and Good Location, but Tired

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our September 2017 stay at Goldfinch 18 was enjoyable and pleasant. The home is very spacious and easily accommodates 8 people. The location on the NW edge of Sunriver is a little far from the Village and SHARC, but it is extremely quiet and right by the Deschutes River. This home was the most tired and worn we have stayed in at Sunriver. It's clear it is almost entirely a rental property, and the carpet, furnishings, and amenities are all quite dated and distressed - probably original to this home. The carpeting was especially worn. Beds in the three bedrooms were very comfortable, but the sleeper sofa and its mattress were so tired that adults really could not comfortably sleep on it. We actually removed the mattress and put it on the master bedroom floor so our two kids could actually sleep on it. On the positive side, the hottub was newer (and huge), outdoor furniture was in good condition, and the kitchen was well appointed with everything needed for extensive cooking. The two adult bikes were of high quality and well maintained, and the free SHARC passes were great to have. Overall, this is a decent vacation property, but nothing to write home about.
