En ljus och glad stuga med ett sovrum som är en av tre på den här fastigheten som totalrenoverades 2012. Det är gångavstånd till stan. Tyngdpunkten är den stora avskärmade verandan med bord och stolar för att äta middag, och en korg med korgar och stol för avkoppling. The home was so welcoming and comfortable. Everything was clean and it was very well equipped. The owners were very quick to answer any questions we had. The location was great close to everything in Mackinaw City!

Great location with easy self check-in. The house is cute and well maintained. The pullout couch did have mouse poop on it though. I'm guessing it doesn't get used much. It was still gross and luckily we had a blow up mattress for our child.Otherwise the place was nice & clean and had everything we needed.

Great stay at this property. Hosts are super nice and good communicators. Nice quiet neighborhood. Good places to eat within walking distance. Highly recommend Darrow's Family Restaurant. Never had a bad meal and the pies are outstanding!

We spent 3 nights in this sweet cottage. We loved the screened in porch. The furniture and beds are comfortable. I liked that it was a little away from the main part of Mackinaw City, but close enough we could walk to most places.We would love to stay there again if we’re ever in the area. Highly recommended.

The cottage was exactly as pictured and perfect for my husband and I. Kitchen was well stocked. Queen bed was comfortable. Shower pressure very good. Location is close enough to walk to Sheeplers ferry and the Crossings shopping area.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cottage was comfortable and clean, and the porch was the highlight. The owner gave a lot of attention to detail in decor and in stocking the kitchen with good tools for preparing meals. The location was excellent--quiet but walking distance to stores and restaurants. One teeny complaint: the grates on the grill are badly rusted. We would love to come back sometime!

Comfy Cozy Cottage for One

I stayed in the Macatawa City Cottage for 3 nights and felt like I was home. The decor is understated and tasteful; the bed is comfortable; the shower had plenty of hot water, and I enjoyed most of my meals IN because the kitchen has everything one needs. It was also a walkable distance to the ferry that goes to the island, which I enjoyed exploring for the first time. I would recommend this cottage for a couple or single guest.

Very nice but with a few disappointments

We were enticed by the look and location of this cottage, and those did not disappoint. We were able to make it through the week and have a good time, but did have to deal with some quirks. We were excited to be able to sit and eat meals in the screened porch, but were unable to due to a black fly infestation (see image). Eventually, even moving through the porch to come and go became daunting. Additionally, the hot water only lasted about 10 minutes, making it difficult to shower and do the dishes at the same time of day. The strong scents on the furniture were also not ideal. But if at least the fly problem was taken care of, we would definitely consider renting this one again!

Charming Cottage Stay in Mackinaw City!

We had a wonderful time staying in this cute and quaint cottage. It was just perfect for two adults and a child. The cottage had everything we needed and felt cozy and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance to downtown Mackinaw City, which made exploring shops, restaurants, and the waterfront super convenient. It also served as the perfect base camp for day trips in every direction, whether we were heading to the island ferry, hitting local attractions, or just out for a scenic drive. We’d definitely stay here again!

Cozy cottage with plenty of amenities! Close to downtown Mackinaw City as well as within walking distance to some restaurants and activities. Cottage was perfect for couples or family with young children. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Macatawa was as wonderful as we remembered it and the sweet new coffeemaker made my vacation! This is the perfect location for us to bike Mackinac Island and both sides of Lower Michigan including the Huron Sunrise Trail and Little Traverse Wheelway. We bought this property as a "fixer upper" opportunity. We enjoy renovating projects together and love Mackinaw (vacationed here every summer with our kids) so this was the perfect place for us. The 3 cottages give us a vacation home that will fit all of us as our children get married and have their own families.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We also love this place for its history as part of the Lazy T resort decades ago. So to restore these cottages and rent them again for families to enjoy is an added benefit. Plus Mack City is a great starting point for other travels to the U.P. and other northern Michigan tourist towns.
