Norra stugan mitt i ingenstans, men nÀra till allt. Detta Àr precis vid den södra grÀnsen till Wilderness State Park. Denna park i nÀrheten erbjuder miles av strandlinje, vandringsleder och tusentals tunnland oförstörd vildmark att utforska. Det kÀnns som om du Àr i Alaska dÀr uppe, men det Àr bara cirka 15 miles till Mackinaw City / Mackinaw Island fÀrjor för massor av roliga aktiviteter, restauranger och shopping. Det Àr ocksÄ bara 3 miles till Sturgeon Bay för att njuta av nÄgra av de bÀsta natursköna sanddynerna och sandstrÀnderna vid Lake Michigan.

Stugan ligger pÄ en privat vÀg med en tomt pÄ 10 tunnland i de norra lövskogen. Det erbjuder moderna bekvÀmligheter inklusive satellit-tv, ett fullt utrustat kök med gasspis och badrum. Mindre Àn 5 mil bort Àr McGulpin Point Lighthouse och Headlands International Dark Sky Park - en fastighet som nyligen utsetts till en av endast sex internationella Dark Sky-parker i landet - vilket gör det till en bastion för stargazers.

Det finns 2 sovrum pÄ övervÄningen, ett med en dubbelsÀng och ett med tvÄ enkelsÀngar. Det finns ocksÄ en soffa i vardagsrummet. Köket erbjuder gott om utrymme för matlagning och matplatsen har plats för 5. Rena sÀngklÀder och handdukar tillhandahÄlls vid incheckningen. Ta med kajaker eller kanot för att utforska O'neal Lake. TillgÄng till denna lilla vildmarkssjö ligger bara en mil frÄn stugan. Det finns inga hus pÄ denna sjö, bara ett överflöd av vilda djur inklusive kala örnar, fiskgjuse, looner, hökar och mer.

We really enjoyed this cabin, so quite and peaceful. The cabin has a nice layout, cozy and comfortable. The furniture was nice and beds were comfortable, the bedding and towels smelled so fresh and clean. Cabin was very clean and the local treats left for us were really good! Lets not forget the pets, took my 2 labrador retrievers, they had treats for them as well and food and water bowls if needed. My dogs are my kids so small things like that make a big difference to me. The outdoors is beautiful, talll trees and beautiful land. Sauna was nice on the cooler nights. This cabin was a great getaway. Hiking all around us, just a couple miles from the Wilderness park and beaches, so much fun! Had a great time, thanks for everything.

Great communication from host, and lively welcoming basket with a bottle of wine and gourmet popcorn. Our dogs loved their welcome doggie biscuits too! Location was excellent for privacy and getting to nearby spots we visited. The steam sauna on the deck was great!Just a heads up to senior folks like us, the hike down the stairs to the bathroom a couple of times a night was a bit of an inconvenience, but weighing all the positives against that litter issue was in retrospect, not that big of a deal. There was some issue with the front porch light flickering or not turning on when we flipped the switch. That needs to be looked at to ensure all is well with the wiring/grounding.

Cabin in the woods! Seclusion, peace. Simple, uncluttered. The space was relaxing , practical and functional to use with ease, important if youre cooking all your meals. Good spot for our dogs. The house/yard on one side was close enough to see the yard through the trees but otherwise, very secluded. Great location to explore the NW corner of lower Michigan. Great trail into the woods in back. One of us gets ill from perfumes so we had to put the scented trash bags outside and sub our own stuff for blanket and towel that had laundry detergent scent but we are used to doing stuff like that. Sauna! The nearby lake is beautiful, but road to it is a little rough.

The cabin is in a serene, wooded setting where we regularly heard the songs of loons and many other birds--but did not hear motors. It was a wonderful escape from the noise of city living. The cabin accommodations were clean and comfortable, and we were thrilled that it was dog friendly. The host was exceedingly helpful, responsive, welcoming, and kind! The location was excellent for our purposes, visiting the nearby state and local parks.

Quiet Getaway

The property is well maintained and as described. We enjoyed hiking trails in the area. The cabin is set on a quiet road. The large window and doorwall provide great view of the surrounding woods. We hope to return next year!

We loved this cabin! The cabin is secluded in a beautiful location close to several hiking trails, scenic locations, and nearby towns. The cabin itself was the perfect size, cozy yet spacious, and was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommend!

August vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin for our August mini-vacation. We were close to Mackinaw City, which was our main destination. We also visited the dunes at Wilderness State Park to view the sunset, and a short visit to Cheboygan. The cabin was very neat, clean and was a perfect, quiet location for our stay. We also appreciated that the cabin was pet-friendly.

Cozy Cabin

The area was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and had all of the necessities plus some extras like a sauna and fire pit. We really appreciated that it was dog friendly and our dog appreciated it too. It was close to Mackinaw City, beaches and state parks. We would visit again and recommend it to others.

the cabin was everything i hoped for and not hard to find the area and close proximity to wilderness s p was what i liked the lake and shoreline are beautiful views of the straits and mackinaw bridge are fantastic. everything at the cabin was very nice the area their and trails are nice the queen mattress was very uncomfortable.

Cozy cabin in the woods.

The cabin is so cozy as well as clean and well equipped. We also enjoyed having campfires in the backyard. We were a comfortable driving distance from the ferry to Mackinac Island, beaches, Headlands International Dark Sky, MacGulpin Lighthouse and shopping at Mackinaw City. Mike is a great host, available if we needed something. We would highly recommend a stay at this cabin.

Perfect wilderness get away!

The cabin was just right, well stocked with everything we needed, but remote enough to be peaceful. We enjoyed Wilderness state park, and the 2-mile drive to the lake for sunsets. The town of Levering was perfect for diner breakfasts on Paradise Lake, and all the Michigan necessities like firewood, smoked fish, and pasties. Easy drive to Petosky and Mackinaw City. Very easy-to-work with host!
