We loved it! Great location. The house was very clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful in suggestions on where to celebrate my partner's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the super clean hot tub!

This was a great, cozy cabin in a very gorgeous and private lot. Good host and generally good instructions - I would just suggest they include instructions on how to open the lockbox in their welcome app so we didn’t have to look it up and more specific instructions on how to use the gas furnace and hottub. My girlfriend and I struggled to get both started and turned off, which could be user error, but they were both a bit unintuitive. Other than those super minor things this was a great stay!

Beautiful wooded lot, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch while watching the hummingbirds at the feeders. It was a perfect distance from Mackinaw for dinner and exploring. The listing does go through a secondary company, with a separate contract, which was confusing at first, but everything was as described.

Lovely location surrounded by woods with a trail down to lake. Easy access to nearby attractions. Beds were soft, so if you are used to a firm mattress this may need to be considered. Clawfoot tub with shower was awkward to get in and out of, and shower head is very low. No hair dryer listed as an amenity, but I assumed there would be one and that was incorrect. Bring one if you need it.

Very clean , enjoyed the hot tub and outside shower. Two amenities I didn't even consider when I booked it ,but they were awesome !!! AC worked great (it was 90 outside). Great location to bridge / Harbor Lights Grille / Market. Chubbs Marina was only a few blocks away, also a great experience if your looking to rent a boat or need fishing supplies. Really enjoyed every minute of our stay !!! Would book again.

Cozy clean cabin. Very comfortable stay while being surrounded by nature. Little hard to find off the highway because the address sign is set back. But worth the u turn we had to take.

Relaxing solo getaway!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The hot tub needed a good draining and cleaning. Other than that, I was very happy with my stay. I would only go back in the summer time as the snow took away the view to the lake from the house. Property owners were extremely friendly. Location was great to Mackinac City.

Not as private as the photos make it seem.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location as far as where it’s located to the mist sees,is convenient. We were looking to get away as a couple for a few days. It was pitched as a private tranquil ideal getaway for couples. The hot tub was very nice but can be seen from the neighboring cabin that’s on the same property (could see in their front door from the hot tub) and the neighboring house although we didn’t see the person in the cabin on the property. They were parked there and made for less than private setting. Also the bed is cheap and just a frame and quite frankly not “couple friendly” The lake is a short walk and that’s not a big deal however it’s too shallow to fish from the dock or get any sort of fishing size vessel to the dock. The shower is only 5’ high. And it lacks a lot of the things you get when it’s above in home and not a money rental by a management company. There is the bare minimum for cookware and missing some of the perks many others we’ve stayed in have. (Games, movies, activities, records books) the stay overall I would describe as “fine” but these things must be mentioned a bit further.

We had a wonderful time at Wading Bird! Highly recommend if you are looking for a getaway close to several different activities!Pros:*Hot tub*Private Dock*Close to a couple restaurants (Highly recommend Clyde’s for Wings and Pizza *CBR is A*)*Well stocked for needs*Comfy beddingThings to consider:*Shower is not for tall people(at 5’7” I was taller than the showerhead)*As listed, the bedroom is upstairs and only bathroom is downstairs…if stairs are an issue for you, this is not the place for you.*BRING BUG SPRAY…apparently bugs just started coming in the week before our trip, but they were abundant. Not much that can be done about it, but something to consider.

Perfect two person retreat

Modern, clean, and accessible to all sorts of northern Michigan adventures. Unexpected pros- beautiful private dock on the lake, very nice hot tub and outdoor shower, full amenities. Unexpected cons - space is private but very close to adjacent properties, highway noise isn't loud but audible, boggy area so it means bugs abound.

We loved how attractive, clean and welcoming the cottage was. It was a bit tricky to find at first but nice and private. The owners were very kind and responsive. The bed, couch and chairs were all comfortable. The upstairs loft was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. We found all the cookware we needed to make our meals. The bathroom was clean and featured a clawfoot bathtub. My husband liked the outdoor shower. There’s hot tub was perfect in the cool mornings! There’s a short path to Paradise Lake with a little dock and chairs to sit. It was conveniently located for trips to the Petosky area, Wilderness State Park and Mackinac Island. As a “heads up” - I should have packed a hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner. I didn’t notice that there was no laundry facility - I usually pack light and do laundry. We asked ahead of time and knew to bring all our own seasonings, cooking oil, etc., since some places have those things and some don’t. We were thankful to find powdered creamer because we forgot that. They also had s&p and sugar. We would like to stay there again. It was a great stay!

Blooming flowers and hummingbird buzzing around the feeder. It was very welcoming. The inside was a wonderful space and very clean. A very short walk and you are at your private dock that is in a beautiful cove surrounded by blooming water lilies. The property was very quiet and I loved the location and proximity to Mackinac City. Overall, I loved it and will DEFINITELY be back!

Great little spot in the woods, can walk to the inland lake-perfect for two. Short, easy drives to more wilderness areas, the great lakes, or nearby cities (10 min to Mackinaw City, 40 min to Petoskey).
