Loved our stay!

Loved the location to activities. House is spacious giving everyone room to spread out. Spent a lot of mornings and evenings on the deck enjoying the quiet and views.

Too Bad Because Property Has Potential

We arrived at a very dirty house without heat. The property manager had contacted me 2 hours before our set arrival to inform me that the heater wasn't working and that a technician had been called. He resolved that issue. He walked us through the house, and we were happy with the layout. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection (like using the bathroom & unpacking a bit) we found the house to be inexcusably dirty: the bath and shower were disgusting with hair and mildew; the hard floors were dirty and covered with crumbs in the kitchen & dining areas; the leather couches had sticky handprints and food on the armrests; the refrigerator was still full of condiments like dripping BBQ sauce & crumbs; from the smell, the beds had either been washed/dried using something highly perfumed or they had just been "Fabreezed" and left - and one of them smelled like a person had just left it (we washed the sheets ourselves before sleeping in them); the child's bedroom closet was full of a girls' clothes and there was no alternate dresser in which to put my daughter's things; the kitchen countertops hadn't been wiped; the stove was dirty; every surface was dusty; etc. We started doing some cleaning (I cleaned the washer and dryer so that I could do laundry because we had already been on the road 8 days and had very few clean clothes & then we realized we needed to wash their bedding as well) until I realized how dirty everything was at which point I said something to the property manager. He wouldn't hire a professional cleaner to do a thorough cleaning of the entire house, but he did clean the bathrooms very thoroughly himself, cleaned out the fridge & stove, and cleaned the hard floors. That made the house livable, but still not 100% comfortable. Additionally, throughout the stay we were surprised by the lack of contemporary amenities. If you like to use a microwave or ice cubes, this isn't the house for you. We ended up buying an inexpensive microwave and ice cube trays to use. The oven was spotty & the timer beeped at us up until 10pm one night. We didn't try to use it again. The coffee maker was a Keurig, which might be acceptable for many people. There isn't a toaster, but there is a very old and dirty toaster oven. It became a bit of a joke over the course of our 2-week stay. We were able to make light of the situation, but I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it to others. Too bad b/c the house & views are lovely.

Great house, location and view!

This house met ALL expectations for my family. Great layout, beds were very comfortable, property manager was very responsive and flexible, ideal location - close to everything and great view! Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and beautiful views!

We enjoyed our stay! The house accommodated us well and served as our launching point to visit all of the places we wanted to see in and around CO Springs. The property manager was helpful and the house was great!

Loved the house, great view. We a great time. Unfortunately we got snowed in, but it was great for this house. The only thing I would suggest if you would have a larger TV in the game room and we could not get the gas fireplace to turn on. I would definitely go back. Thanks for letting us stay.

Beautiful home

It was a great stay. Beautiful home and view. Just lovely. We would stay again in the future for sure. Kitchen needs more medium size pots, instructions for the master bed would have helped a lot, and dishes that are microwave safe would have been more convenient. But overall great stay and great location. We saw deer everyday by the house. Manager was quick to respond to questions.

Lovely home with breathtaking scenery

My husband and I would definitely book this property again because of its beautiful setting and wonderful design. We loved the floor plan, the abundance of windows, the beautiful deck in the back, the musical equipment and beautiful piano, the extensive book collection, the pool table, and the wonderfully unique decor. Our main problems centered on the lack of information and supplies provided by the owner, the sunken condition on one side of the bed in the master bedroom, and the condition of the cookware provided in the kitchen. We have stayed in many VRBO homes, and usually owners provide more instruction and supplies. We spent too much time trying to figure out how to operate the TV, we saw no info on how to operate the sleep number bed (which was deflated on one side), and no listings about suggested restaurants or grocery shopping close to the house. Additional DVD selection would also be helpful. Most were geared toward children. We had ample toilet tissue and paper towels, but we had to go to the store and purchase facial tissues and body wash. Thus far, all our homes have provided these, but none was provided at this house. We did cook and also decided to buy some cookware for our stay that we took home with us We did this because the cookware in the house was inadequate and in poor condition. Some of it even felt greasy. If the owner would spend some time updating information and supplies, this home could easily bring a perfect five-star rating.

Excellent for large family

My 8 person family loved this house! Very close to garden of the gods and to the other Colorado Springs attractions! The house was spacious and the views were incredible. Andrew and Ian were excellent hosts and reply back fast!

The place is great

This house is big, plenty of room . The area is a clean friendly neighborhood and only a couple of miles from everything. We even saw deer everyday. We will consider this house again when we come back.

Great family vacation rental

Great house with wonderful views.

We loved this house! The pictures don’t do this house justice. The back deck and views from that deck are absolutely beautiful! We ate every meal outside and loved being able to escape the Texas heat for a week. We will definitely be back!

Family Getaway

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. Our house was clean when we arrived. With the spacious layout, we were able to all be together or find a spot to relax alone. Wanting to stay safe from the virus, we cooked every night on the grill. The deck was a draw to spend time in the cool mountain air. The view of Pikes Peak was beautiful. The manager was super nice to give us a quick check in into the house and allowed us a few hours later check out due to car issues. We did not have a single property problem during our stay. The home is beautifully designed and furnished. Thanks to you Andrew.

Unbelievable View

I usually don’t write reviews but this place was top notch. Great views, very clean, plenty of space to stretch out, love the deck, looks right at Pikes Peak, and the communication with owner was excellent. 1 slight drawback was that there were no tv’s in bedrooms. With 3 kids we pretty much had to watch the same thing which isn’t the end of the world because in the end we didn’t watch much tv anyway. But I’m still giving the rental an A+. Thank you for helping make our Colorado trip memorable

Beautiful view

We had a great time. Andrew was timely and accommodating. The house was beautiful and the views were incredible. Overall we felt the house needs a good spring cleaning and the kitchen really needs attention. We did not complain as I know they had a long term guest prior to us and had to clean a lot in a little amount of time. I am sure Andrew would have taken care of it if we needed it. Overall definitely not a deal breaker and I would rent again!

Very clean, gorgeous views with huge windows. Owner responsive to us needing lightbulbs for lamps that were out. Kitchen stocked fairly well. Great basement with pool table. Plenty of space to spread out.
