Great visit!! Perfect location

We enjoyed the beach and staying on the boardwalk. Everything was within walking distance! So many amazing coffee shops and good dinners!! I would recommend hitting a bigger grocery store before the stay, but overall a fantastic week!!

Perfect Spot for large families

We had a lovely time staying here. Perfect location surrounded by many restaurants and bars. The extra parking spaces plus garage spaces (we booked the main house and the condo) are a huge bonus as we live locally and had many cars, and parking during summer months can be a challenge. Will definitely be booking again for next summer!

The "Hacienda House" was perfect for our family. The house was clean, well furnished.

Mission Beach

Overall, the unit was great for our extended family of 8 adults and 4 kids under 7. It had plenty of rooms, bathrooms and patio space. However, for the amount of money we were paying, there were several shortcomings:1.The back patio with the hot tub was extremely dirty, with a lot of garbage between the wall and hot tub.2. The kitchen pots and pan were pretty pathetic (spend 300-500 and buy some good stuff).3. One of the boogie boards was thrashed and should be replaced.

Great Ocean Side Property

Had a great time staying in this home while attending a conference in San Diego. It provided everything our group needed in a beautiful setting. Being right on the beach was part of the highlight of our trip. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants.

Mission Beach

The location, bedrooms/baths and kitchen dishes, pans, etc.were great! The only downside was deferred maintenance issues that hadn't been addressed prior to our stay. Two of the air conditioners made horrible noises during the night and had to be shut off. (Because one day was a holiday no one was available to fix them for 3 days!)The screen doors on each of the patios wouldn't slide due to sand and salt air exposure. Only two of the burners on the grill were operable.

If I just don’t show up

If I ever go missing look for me here. The property is fantastic. Yes it is busy on the beach walk but that is part of the fun. Saw some amazing humorous things going on and no one was disrespectful. Parking is tight in the garages but there is room to park a Lincoln Navigator if you know how to drive. I did. I will be back and will rent the rooftop 2 bedroom unit also.

Great Beachside Hacienda

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We (2 families, 8 people total) rented the home in April 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the large wrap-around deck, gas grill, fire pit, hot tub, and spacious living and entertaining spaces. The kitchen is well-stocked, beds are comfy, and living room was warm and inviting. There are 3 bathrooms uniquely set up: one just shower within a bedroom, one toilet/sink, and one full bathroom - this situation worked for us just fine. It is an older home, especially considering everything around it has been torn down and rebuilt, but we loved the charming style and historic feel of the home, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is also located near a lifeguard stand, so a great place for kids and for parents to feel that they are safe and secure while in the water.

Beach Birthday weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this home to celebrate my father in laws 70th Birthday. The house has great beach character and was exactly what we expected in size and location. The deck is quite spacious and great to relax to watch the day go by. The one thing I was quite disappointed in was the BBQ. It was one of the only specific things I inquired about and even double checked to make sure there would be enough propane to cook the Birthday dinner. When I turned the grill on it took quite a bit to get it going. Once it was lit 2 of the 4 burners actually went out and the other 2 only heated the grill to about 80 degrees. Needless to say we could not use it and had to change our entire dinner plan and cook the food inside. We made due but it was a huge disappointment. There were some burned out light bulbs and the wifi quit working for while but the property manager came by and had it working in a short time. All in all I would rent the property again.

AMAZING VIEWS AND GREAT HOUSE

HOUSE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND LAYOUT WAS GREAT. VIEWS WERE AMAZING. AMENITIES WERE A LITTLE THIN AND HONESTLY COULD BE DONE BETTER AT THE LUXURY PRICEPOINT. SIMPLE THINGS LIKE, TP, SOAPS, PAPER TOWELS WERE THE LOWEST GRADE POSSIBLE AND USUALLY EXPECT AN ELEVATED EXPERIENCE AT CERTAIN PRICE POINTS. THE LIST OF RULES WERE MANY PAGES LONG AND I SEEMED TO BE FAR MORE INTERESTED IN CONTROLLING WHO COULD STAY AT THE HOUSE (EVEN THOUGH IT'S ADVERTISED FOR MORE THAN 10 AND BROUGHT 6), THEY WANT TO CHARGE YOU IF ANYONE NOT ON YOUR LIST IS AT THE HOUSE, WHICH QUITE HONESTLY IS A BIT OUT OF LINE. WE HAD 2 REPAIR PEOPLE SHOW UP OUT OF NOWHERE ON SATURADAY & SUNDAY THAT SAID (WE CALLED THEM, ...WE DID NOT) & FELT LIKE THEY WERE THERE TO CHECK ON THE HOUSE AND MAKE SURE NO UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS WERE AT THE HOUSE. WIERD EXPERIENCE IN THAT REGARD. WE ARE ALL 50 YEARS OLD AND EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PEOPLE, SO IT CAME OFF INSULTING. OVERALL IT WAS REALLY NICE AND WOULD RECOMMEND, HOWEVER IT COULD USE AN OVERHAUL ON THE GUESTS EXPEREIENCE WITH MANAGEMENT & AMENITIES.

Beautiful location - we loved it

Just stay here if you can. The location and the open areas in the back/side are priceless. There are a few minor things which could be improve d, but the place is awesome as it is. If staying with kids check out the plunge pool and Belmont park.

Summertime Bliss!

This place was perfect for my family and friends! It is the best home away from home we have ever visited! If you are looking for white carpet and somewhere you are afraid to sit down, then this is not the place for you! This is a comfy, cozy place with lots of character. A place where you can put your feet up on the coffee table and relax while watching the waves break. The house is incredibly well stocked with everything you need to have a truly worry-free vacation. Plenty of towels, glasses, plates, silverware, and a dishwasher to take care of them. It had a blender for margaritas, surfboards for the teenagers and the B-B-Q could be used while watching the sunset on the ocean. The fire pit was perfect for the cool evenings and when it got a little too chilly, we would hop into the warm jacuzzi. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and clean. This place is a gem and a great time was had by all. We are already planning our next visit!!

Perfect Beach Getaway

This was a perfect getaway for my family during the pandemic. Sitting on the beach was not allowed, but we had a big beautiful deck to sit on, watch people walk on the beach, and enjoy surfing and waves. The management company was wonderful to work with. They provided all the information we needed upfront and made the whole experience very pleasant. Thank you so much! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back some day!!

On the beach

Older house that needs some update.. small things like missing plates covering electrical outlets. No bars in closets to hang clothing. The door combination did not work for the gate leading to the hot tub, we had to go through an occupied bedroom or out through a window in another bedroom. The house was fairly well supplied with bedding, dish ware, towels etc. The location is wonderful with access to the beach and wonderful views.
