Kramer Cottage is perched on a hill and overlooks Long Cove and beyond to Sawyers Island. The property extends to the water where guests can access the gravely beach area by a set of stairs. Enjoy beautiful water frontage as well as access to the familyâs private island, Sawyerâs Island, when leasing time at Kramer Cottage.
Kramer Cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom home that has been lovingly maintained. The home exudes country charm with a decorative antique cook stove still gracing the kitchen and beautifully refinished original hard-wood flooring. The kitchen at Kramer Cottage is warm and inviting and not to mention, well equipped with features such as a coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave and an electric cook range. From the kitchen there is a deck overlooking Long Cove and the family's private island. The deck has two adirondack style chairs overlooking the sights of the cove and a gas grill for an alternative cooking option. Off from the kitchen is a 3/4 bathroom.
Kramer Cottageâs living area has a couple of comfortable chairs, a love seat and a bench. The home has Fidium fiber optic highspeed internet and a smart T.V. The first floor of Kramer Cottage has a library/office room with a full size sleeper sofa for a first floor sleeping option. The home has a nice selection of board games and literature. Kramer Cottage does have a landline telephone with an answering machine.
The second floor of Kramer Cottage has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, two dressers, a closet and a bench. There is an oscillating fan in this room for the hot summer evenings. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a dresser and skylights which brings the view of the cove inside. Off from this bedroom there is a small room with a twin bed in place - perfect to accommodate a small child at Kramer Cottage. Rounding off the second floor is a full bathroom with a tub. Kramer Cottage does have a washer and dryer on site, it is located in the basement which is easily accessible from the main floor of the home.
The outside of Kramer Cottage is nicely landscaped with Hosta plants surrounding the front door, which is pink and inviting. The backyard of the home has the deck with a granite walkway surrounded by lush landscaping. The path to the water is well maintained and the beach base is a mix of sand and gravel, perfect for beach-combing, swimming, launching your kayaks or just relaxing. The Kramerâs have also graciously decided to share their private island with those that are going to be utilizing the ocean frontage for boating. Sawyers Island was once a part of the beloved Les Chalet Francais - a summer camp that was located in the Sunshine section of Deer Isle for nearly 40 years in the 1900âs.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
