Härligt, ett sovrum med nya queen size madrass. Har stort vardagsrum med ett fullt utrustat kök fullt utrustat. Mycket attraktiva och bekväma. Lämplig för två och kanske två barn (har utdragbar soffa). Kort promenad till stranden, 150 yards. Tillgång till cyklar, grill, badutrustning. Vagnen Huset ligger bakom huvudbyggnaden som byggdes 1938 transport huset är en separat byggnad med egen ingång, trädgård och parkering. Detta är verkligen "gamla Floridian" stil med alla moderna bekvämligheter. Perfekt för en tillflyktsort för en eller romantisk vecka för två. Två mindre barn skulle vara acceptabelt.

Fantastic Stay!

We loved our stay at this home and hope to return soon. We were 3 ladies on a girls get-a-way and it fit our needs perfect.....wonderful location steps to the beach and Red Bar! The owner is extremely helpful and the home was very clean and neat!

Just what we needed!

Rich’s place is located in a perfect location in the wonderful beach village of Grayton Beach. This unit has everything you need about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach area. Check in was flawless. Unit was clean and the bed was comfortable. we will definitely be returning!

Great stay in Grayton Beach

My daughter and I had a great Mother/daughter trip over New Years. This was a great location. While it was on the main road, it was quiet as it was behind the main house. We loved the use of bikes and beach chairs. While the bikes are old and most needed air in the tires, we were able to find 2 and enjoyed riding every day. Very clean and nice house. I would recommend staying here.

Grayton Beach converts!

This was our first time to stay at Grayton Beach and we were not disappointed! Rich's place is ideal: easy walk to beach, surrounding shops and restaurants, several bikes and beach accessories are available to use, carriage house is well appointed and comfortable. Rich provided great check-in/out instructions and will respond quickly should you have any issues. We look forward to coming back!

Cute as a Button!

Rich has such a great place on a beautiful beach along 30A. We are so happy to find this hidden gem! My 17 year old daughter and I wanted a beach getaway & Rich’s place exceeded expectations. Ideal walk to the beach, with all beach items given to us, from wagons to play toys. I’ve already told my friends about this perfect place to stay on the beach who are looking for a great beach getaway. Perfect for romantic getaways for couples, small families & a perfect trip with your teenager., Cute as a Button can meet all your needs!

Nice and clean house

We had a nice visit. The house was very clean, but the kitchen pots and pans were limited. It would have been better for the kitchen to be a bit more equipped. Beautiful area. We had trouble with getting into he house when we got there, but fortunately we were able to reach the owner and get that resolved quickly.

Honeymoon

We had a great stay for our honeymoon in Grayton. The guesthouse was absolutely lovely and extremely clean. Sherry was such a great hostess – she provided us with restaurant suggestions and told us about things to do in the area. She even left a sweet card and bottle of champagne congratulating us on our marriage. There is a wagon, which made transporting beach supplies (also available to use) super easy! The only thing I was disappointed in is that we didn't stay longer. Thanks for the great time! Hope to be back again soon.

Great Location

The garage apartment is in one of the best locations at Grayton Beach. It's a very short enjoyable walk to the beach. There's access to several bikes, chairs, and beach toys in the garage. There were no problems with hot water or the air conditioning. There was some confusion on the different times for the check-in. One last VRBO email said 3:00pm check-in and the sheet in the room shows 4:00pm but I was able to reach the owner and this worked out fine. There was some confusion on the garage code and door code but I was able to easily talk to the owner and get this worked out. The owner was very nice. The internet password listed on the table in the garage apartment is different from the one that's listed on the check-in email but the one in the apt. worked fine. Me and my two adult children had a wonderful week with some great bike rides and enjoyable walks.

Walk to Beach

I have stayed in many VRBO rentals but I have never not received information on getting into the booked place. It happened this time. We sat in the driveway trying to get a hold of the host through VRBO and all you could do was type a message. So we sat some more. We finally found him on People Finder, called, and were lucky he answered. I did text him later with a few issues and he did respond by text. The place could use some TLC- broken blind at the door and light bulbs replaced. Two of the chairs in the dining area and the rug need replaced. The bathroom could use some new non-white towels because white is too hard to keep clean in a beach house. Not sure why the toilet makes weird noises plus squeaky noises when it flushes, but it does. There was no air conditioning filter in the air conditioner. Please get more teaspoons in the kitchen – there were only four. Personally, I would get rid of anything in the house that doesn’t have a beach theme. Less often more. It would’ve been nice to sit outside sometimes, but the backyard does not lend itself to sitting due to the furniture condition. You can walk to the beach and several restaurants from the rental. The Red Bar has excellent food and the Black Bear Bread Company has delicious bread!

Better than it started

Upon arriving, there was a family in the main house. I thought it might be the owner, but it was another guest. They were unaware of additional arrivals and were questioning how we ended up with the place and if we knew the owner. Reading between the lines, they must know the owner. He told me they had switched the coffee maker with the Keurig in our space and wouldn’t be trading back while they were staying. I’m still not sure why he told me that. I didn’t receive the passcode for the lock prior to arriving, even though we arrived well after check-in. And there was dirty underwear on the washing machine. Despite all this, we committed to make the most of this adventure since we were exploring a different part of 30A this year. Everything was a new experience. We’re used to staying on the beach, so the walk to this beach would take some getting used to. After a couple of days, the walk wasn’t so bad. But I brought less stuff to the beach each day. In addition to the above, there are some minor things that are/were easily resolved. - Broken springs on hide away bed (told owner who would have it repaired the following week) - Torn sheets for hide away bed (replaced same day) - Balcony door didn’t lock (funky mechanism, but after discussing with owner it was easier) - Freezer door doesn’t always close fully - Several beach chairs and toys should be thrown out due to rust and generally broken - Internet was out (no tv, Internet, streaming) - Kitchen isn’t well appointed and there is no dishwasher - Washer and dryer are shared with main house tenants - Coffee maker doesn’t work - 3 bikes don’t work (fused chain, broken rear wheel, flat tire) must also me shared with tenants in main house Even with everything listed, I am still rating this as an overall 4 out of 5. The items listed show that the unit is being used and enjoyed. Maintenance of additions could be better, but one shouldn’t rent a place in the hopes they get bikes and beach toys. The owner was very quick with responses and resolution for things we informed him about; and the others weren’t a big enough deal to pester him during the stay. I would consider staying here again if I didn’t have to haul everything to and from the beach each day.

Historic Grayton beach home, built in 1934. Grayton Beach was founded in 1890.
Was a hide-out for Bonnie & Clyde in their day. Nearly all of the original beach homes are still standing and in good shape, most are one or two story. A few newer homes on water front are up to four stories. The ambience of a traditional historic REEL Florida beach community is still present. Park and walk to nearly any where you or family/friends wanna go.
