Denna mysiga studio Àr omgiven av trÀd och en stenlagd terrasstrÀdgÄrd. Mycket lÀtt med ett komplett kök inklusive en gasspis, mikrovÄgsugn, brödrost, mixer, vattenkokare, kylskÄp. Mycket bekvÀm queen size-sÀng. Vi har just installerat en hÀrlig merinoullmatta och enheten Àr nymÄlad. Det ligger inom gÄngavstÄnd frÄn en stor mataffÀr, College of Marin och det finns mÄnga underbara restauranger i nÀrheten. TrÀdgÄrden Àr din att anvÀnda pÄ din fritid; omgiven av redwoodtrÀd och utsikt över Mount Tam. Det finns cykel- och vandringsleder i nÀrheten, en biograf och Marin Art and Garden Center. Bara 5 minuter frÄn motorvÀgen och 20 minuter frÄn Golden Gate Bridge, och vanligtvis 10 till 20 grader varmare Àn San Francisco, Sausalito och Mill Valley. France hosted my family for an extended stay. France checked in often to make sure my family was comfortable. My family enjoyed their time here and mentioned loving the large trees on the property.

Late Spring in Kentfield

A haven, indeed, for a ten-day working vacation. The studio is quiet, calming, with sunlight filtered through two majestic redwoods just beyond the window panes. An ideal work environment for a writer. Although the kitchen is small -- perhaps the coziest aspect of the studio -- it's especially well-equipped: a toaster, coffee brewer, microwave, and a Vitamix blender. Comfortable bed; terrific shower. But perhaps most importantly, France is a welcoming, gracious, thoughtful host. Kentfield Haven ranks among my top VRBO rental experiences.

Quiet and pretty in Marin

This is a small apartment with everything anyone could want in a charming package. It is set in a lovely garden that the gracious host encourages her guests to enjoy. There is a kitchen, a good shower, a desk, comfortable chairs for relaxing and, very important, a good bed. I’m looking forward to my return.

Definitely a gem in Marin

I needed a place to stay in the Marin area while I was in-between jobs. France's studio was perfect. Centrally located between all the little towns in Marin. While easy access to Sir Francis Drake Blvd, the location has a feel of being in the woods. I especially loved all the redwood woods outside the studio. The area is quiet, relaxing and the host, France, was there to answer any and all questions.

Great location, quiet & peaceful, sparkly clean

The moment we walked in, we felt right at home. The roomy studio was super-clean, well laid-out, and had all the comforts of home. France was very responsive and hospitable. We come to Marin fairly often, and this will be our new home-from-home.

Lovely and quiet studio

We really enjoyed our extended stay at France’s studio. The garden setting is beautiful, and the studio itself is well appointed- even a little larger than we had anticipated. Everything was very clean and scent free, and the sheets were so soft! The kitchen is small as would be expected in a studio, but we were still able to cook full meals for ourselves. France was very gracious, and a considerate upstairs neighbor. There are many beautiful places to walk within a few minutes drives, too!

A haven in Marin County

I had a great stay here. The location is convenient. The property has everything I needed with convenient parking. Easy to get on the highway and enjoy Marin County or a trip to San Francisco or a visit to wine country. The host, France, is available and pleasant to interact with.

Kentfield Haven

Lovely place in a great location and France was an attentive and gracious host. The studio was clean and the bed comfortable. I stayed here while work was being done at my own house nearby, and with a refrigerator, stove and microwave, I appreciated being able to cook most of my meals at "home". As someone with chemical sensitivities, I especially appreciated that all bedding and towels are washed "fragrance free" and that all guests who do laundry are required to use only non-scented products. (It sure would be nice if ALL vacation rentals could accommodate people who can't tolerate fragrances, have allergies, or simply dislike reeking of perfumes/chemicals.

Marin As I Remember It

Very comfortable with a rustic, natural feel. The Bay Area has changed so much, it was nice to stay in a place that reminded me of Marin County as it was when I lived there in the 70's and 80's. -- inhabited by redwood trees and nature-loving people. A great spot for getting anywhere in Marin or San Francisco.

I am a native San Franciscan and new to Kentfield. I live in the house attached to the studio. I work from home and am available to answer any questions, and help in any way I can to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. I started painting in the begining of 2021 and have found my new passion. Most of my paintings are inspired by photographs that I have taken locally and during my 8 year stay in South Africa and my travels in neighboring countries.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

I love light and being surrounded by nature. The redwood grove in the garden is unique and I never tire of the view of Mount Tamalpais.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We just love this area of Marin. It is warm and quiet and the view of Mount Tam never ceases to make my day. I hike or ride my bike almost every day right from the front door. Unlike San Francisco, parking is plentiful. There are lots of good restaurants nearby and several movie theaters. We couldn't be happier in our new home and our new environment and we look forward to sharing the joy with our guests.
