Great location, wonderful host!

Carlo was a wonderful host and communication with him was excellent. His tidy apartment is perfectly located near restaurants and sites and yet tucked away down a quiet little alley, in a private courtyard, with a Canal just outside the living room window. We were two couples, and very comfortable with the layout of the home. Carlo lives right upstairs and was a gracious presence. Grazie Carlo! We feel like we found a home away from home, in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Great Apartment in central location

We were in Venice to see the biennial and used this apartment as a base. It is conveniently located, Carlo is a great host helping with all information and the apartment was clean and quiet. We hope to come again.

Castello authentic

Carlo met us at the gate and oriented us to this authentic property in the castello neighborhood. The apartment is close to San Marco and myriads of delicious small restaurants and interesting shops. We had all we needed and more.

Fabulous location

Carlo met us for arrival and spent time walking us through everything at his apt. It was so helpful. You won’t find a better location and the apt itself is very “Venice”. It felt great. I strongly recommend staying here without any reservations.

Perfect apartment in a great location walking distance to all the sites !

Carlo and his daughter are excellent hosts and give good information about the surrounding area. The apartment is clean and charming and has everything you need. AC and hot water work great. We had a wonderful stay in Venice as a result.

Romantic adventure

Lovely! Great location, could get anywhere we wanted, but still a little off the beaten path. Gracious hosts. Loved our little place, I even bought curtains to bring home that match for a sweet memory.

Clean and spacious

Property was clean and as described. Owner very accommodating and kind. Apartment a little dated, but conveniently located. Only downside- mattresses were very firm.

Great to meet you Carlos!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay! Loved all the nostalgia items throughout the suit, beautiful separate room for all of us to be together. ( kitchen, dining & living room tables!) Fantastic location / once we found the alley to get to the suit LOL The kitchen had a great supply of pots, pans, cutlery & plates. Our only constructive comment would be the beds… very hard& very squeaky bed frames! They could use an upgrade in our opinion after sleeping on them for 4 nights.

Great spot close to San Marcos and the Rialto Bridge

The place is a second floor 2 bedroom apartment on a secondary street close to good food and a 5 minute walk to San Marcos or Rialto. The windows open up on a small canal. It has AC and wifi. There is a small fridge so that you can get some food at the grocery and not eat out every meal (Coop is a about a 3 minute walk).

Great apartment in a great location!

Wonderful apartment in a perfect location. Just minutes from St. Mark’s square, great food, vaporetto, gondola stop, Santa Maria Formaggio square and church (Spider Man No Way Home filmed there) and the Rialto Bridge. Air conditioning worked great and was a life saver! Not that Venice is dangerous but I liked the extra security of the gated courtyard. Carlo was a great host and his dog Pluto was very friendly. I highly recommend this apartment! I’d definitely stay here again!

Truly wonderful stay

We could not have asked for more from our stay here. Carlo & Elizabetta are the most wonderful and welcoming hosts. Our time in Venice was made all the more special staying here, with a beautiful view and all the amenities we could require and kind gifts of biscuits and Prosecco!!! We walked everywhere, never far away from our destination and came home to a great shower and comfortable bed A huge thank you to our hosts for having us, we will be recommending to all our friends and family thinking of visiting Venice!! :) xxxxxx

Short Walk to Piazza San Marco

My friend and I had an amazing week in Venice! The apartment was all as advertised and SO conveniently located. Our biggest issue was finding the house numbers on the street - they went up on one side and down on the other. The apartment was great - two bedrooms, well-appointed bathroom, three options of tables for dining - and windows overlooking a seldom-used canal. Our host, Carlo, suggested several nearby restaurants for dining - delicious! The best was easy access to San Marco by day and night. We hope to stay there again!

Great Location

The location was perfect. Off a quiet courtyard, away from large crowds, close to main sights. It’s clean and spacious. The two closest restaurants, literally less than a minutes walk, were great. We enjoyed making coffee and cooked meals here. There is a grocery store not far away and a fresh veg/fruit stand by Santa Maria Formosa. We were here in early July and the air conditioning worked well. Carlo, the owner, is a widower, and lives next door with his daughter. The second bedroom has a bit of a smell. We bought a candle which helped.

Fabulous stay in a wonderful apartment with a a gracious host

Carlo is a wonderful host and the apartment is clean, cosy and homey. It backs onto a canal and is in a safe, quiet area. At the same time, it is extremely well located. From the San Zaccaria wharves, the simplest way is to take either Calle dei Albanese or Calle de le Rasse. You reach Campo Santi Filippo e Giacomo. If you have taken Calle dei Albanesi, there is a tobacconist on the left hand corner and two restaurants directly in front of you. If you have taken Calle de le Rasse turn left. There is a narrow street to the right of the restaurant on the corner. The street is under the sign on the wall indicating Campo dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo. It becomes Calle Rimpeto la Sacristia e Calle Drio la Chiesa. Take it and follow it all the way. It bends to the right to go over a small bridge at the Hotel Casa Verada. The street is now called Calle Castagana. This brings you to Ruga Giuffa. There is a shop - eborista- directly in front of you. Turn right and then almost immediately right again into an unnamed alley. There is a gate and a garden at the end at you are there. The place is spacious with a good kitchen, separate lounge and dining area. The washing machine is a great bonus. Supermarkets, San Marco, the Biennale are all easily reached on foot. Thank you, Carlo! I had a wonderful time.
