Wonderful location as well as being in a quiet location. Host was very helpful and accessible. Quick 10 min drive into Bar Harbor or just hop on the park bus down the street.

Cozy cabin in Acadia

This is a great little house (1 bedroom) right in Acadia National Park. It's comfortable and quiet, and the host has seemingly thought of everything. We recommend it!

Fall break in Acadia

We had a great stay, it rained a lot during our stay but that didn’t stop us from exploring this beautiful area. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for, a cozy place to stay after busy days hiking. The location was very convenient to access Acadia and Bar Harbor, it is well equipped, and perfect place to relax. We plan to come back.

Summer wood Cottage August 2024

We had a lovely, relaxing time. It was just what we needed. Very cute interior design, fresh flowers everywhere. Comfy couch and bedroom, well outfitted kitchen. Sunny dining room. Everything was exactly as Amanda promised. Will return!

Bad Harbor - Acadia Park Sanctuary

Wonderful experience! I will definitely be back to stay here. Couldn’t ask for more.. the convenience and location was perfect. Peggy came by to water the flowers. Having never been here before she was very helpful giving ideas and things to do. A lot of what we did was within walking distance. Short scenic drive into bar harbor for dinner a couple nights. It was a full week and nothing was better than coming back to the cottage to relax after a long day on the trails. Would recommend for anyone to stay 10/10

Very very pleased!!!

It was perfect! Came in just behind Hurricane Lee and worried the island would be shut down but the Host Amanda stayed in good contact and everything could not have been more perfect the cabin the weather the food the whole island! It was perfect for two people and we loved the water pressure!! We slept with the windows open and didn’t even really need a blanket. The neighborhood was very quiet. It was central to everything. Had a nice fire in the above ground fire pit. All the amenities are in the cabin but we ate out for everything ‘cause

I've been vacationing in Acadia for literally my entire life, but this was my first time staying at Summerwood. I could not have imagined a better location and now I know where to go for the perfect trip. The cottage is so comfortable and had everything needed, including a beautiful backyard and a delightful porch to enjoy home-cooked meals outside. Being able to get out into Acadia without a car!! Can you imagine? What a treat it was to walk down to the end of the street and continue on the path to adventure. We were able to walk from the cabin to Sand Beach without a care in the world. One night we walked to the cliff overlook in Blackwoods Campground to watch the full moon dance on the water. And another morning, we headed out the door and walked all the way up Cadillac Mountain and all the way down the other side, if you can believe that! No car! It was easy as pie to catch the bus and do a couple of connections to get back to the cabin - which also gave the perfect excuse for ice cream in Bar Harbor. I can't thank Amanda enough for being such a wonderful host and giving me the opportunity to have the trip I've been wishing to have! Climbing mountains and also having chill time at the cutest, most comfy home base... it doesn't get any better than that!

This adorable cottage was perfect for two. The living area was a good size and we were able to prepare all three meals daily in the kitchen. The location was perfect with a local path to the park loop and ocean. Plenty of walking opportunities in this area if you just want to hang around for the day. Sitting on the porch after a day hiking was a treat. The neighborhood is quiet. Access to Acadia was convenient. We felt we made a great choice to stay in this cottage for our first time there. Amanda answers messages promptly and everything went smoothly. The amazing weather was a bonus. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

The location was great. We biked alot in Acadia whoch was minutes away. Bar Harbout althoigh close was very crowded . Our host was quick to respond to places to dine outside of Bar Harbour which we truly enjoyed.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, this is the place. Not only was this beautiful home clean, it was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we were a quick drive to Acadia and bar harbor. Amanda is an incredible host. I wish there was a way to give a six star rating!
