Great location for a trip to Acadia!

We found Blackwoods Cottage to be in a great location for a lot of hiking trails and very close to all the activities in Bar Harbor. The cottage was very tastefully decorated and stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the use of the very large front porch. Amanda was quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property.

Perfect spot!

We had a lovely time at Amanda’s. She’s super helpful and has made a cozy home! It had everything we needed and was quite clean. It's in a perfect location to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor. Definitely consider the Cadillac summit trail as you can easily walk to the beginning. Lots of thoughtful touches and comfort that made this home a wonderful place to stay!

Perfect Cottage

We loved our week at Blackwood Cottage. It was so cozy and cute. It was stocked with everything we needed. We so enjoyed our late afternoons on the side porch. Nice size yard with a fire pit. It’s in the perfect location to get around the park. We are already thinking about when to come back. Amanda was the perfect host!

Gorgeous Cottage in ideal location

This was our family’s fifth trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor. We wanted to stay somewhere that was close to town by also to the major attractions of Acadia. The cottage itself was a perfect size for our family of 4 plus our dog; it was clean and spacious. My kids especially enjoyed watching movies at night on VHS! Amanda was a fantastic host, replying quickly to messages and assisting when needed. An added bonus for those who hike was that the South Ridge trail of Cadillac mountain was just yards away, no need drive anywhere or worry about parking. We’d love to stay here again on our next visit!

Cozy cabin close to trails

We had a wonderful time in this cozy home, which is situated close to the South Ridge Cadillac trail head. We enjoyed breakfasts on the porch and an evening around the fireside in the back yard under a starfilled night sky. Thank you!

Perfect Ahhhh!

What an awesome property and Amanda was great. Blackwoods Cottage worked perfectly for our child’s graduation from COA and was a great spot to relax and unplug.

The cottage was cute, well stocked with cookware and linens. Good location, close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Appreciated room heaters. The queen bed was not comfortable, suffering from sagging. Corners inhabited by dust bunnies.

Perfect cottage by the park

Blackwoods cottage was a perfect place to stay for our last stop in Maine. We were within walking distance of hiking trails and had an amazing firepit to relax by. Amanda our host made sure we had everything available to us and answered all my questions promptly. The cabin itself was a perfect maine cabin cozy and comfortable with cute touches. The location was an easy drive to town. Would highly recommend and book again if ever in the area.

Quintessential MainCottage

Wonderful stay at Blackwoods Cottage. It was charming and thoughtfully decorated with all the comforts we needed. The cottage is centrally located with easy access to Bar Harbor, Acadia and surrounding areas. The host Amanda was great and very helpful. Would highly recommend. Make sure you hit Thurstons for a tasty lobster roll. Lots of good breakfast places.

Heaven

My husband, our 2 girls (9 & 5) and our pup stayed for a week at the cottage. It was the perfect setting for our trip. Close to bar harbor & all the sights yet you felt far away from it all. The cottage is adorably decorated, no detail spared. Amanda was great to deal with! We drove up during a hurricane and her communication was fantastic. She even set up some back up supplies. Thankfully we never needed them. Our girls said it was their best vacation yet! We will definitely be back. ❤️

Blackwoods is just beautiful

Wonderful stay , our 3rd year with this property, already booked a 4th. Host Amanda is just great! Close to everything you could want. Provides a quiet getaway but a short drive to seal harbor, close to trails and a short drive to bar harbor. Feels like your secluded but still so close

Delightful place, unique, comfortable

I’d rather sit on the porch of this house in August than any other place and time. We are a retired couple, but I think this house would be perfect for anyone except a family with toddlers—the stairs are steep and there’s no gate at the top. Excellent kitchen, for real cooking.

Blackwoods Cottage was the perfect location for our visit to Acadia National Park ! The location is outstanding, the amenities perfect and the charm of the cottage is so special . The owner Amanda was extremely helpful and we so enjoyed her as well. The Cottage exceeded our expectations !

Cutest and Coziest Cottage

This is the cutest and coziest vrbo we have ever stayed in. So many tasteful touches make this a cottage a wonderful place to stay. The location in otter creek is perfect, so so quiet, with a small market up the road (good for camping and a quick beer or wine run), and just a 10 minutes drive into bar harbor. Amanda was a fantastic host, she was next door during the time of our stay and was able to quickly help us when my husband, a charcoal purist, couldn’t figure out the gas grill. We highly recommend Blackwoods Cottage and would stay again ourselves.

Perfect getaway place

We absolutely LOVED this darling cottage. It was far enough away from any crowds yet close enough as well. Everything was decorated to perfection and any type of supply was included. Amanda and Dan were EXCEPTIONAL hosts.

Perfect!!

Great location, all amenities. Great little cottage close to everything but far from the hustle bustle. The Cadillac mountain trail begins literally just a few yards away which was great for our first day hike. The cottage has all updated appliances which appear in an old style but they’re new, I’ve never seen that before. Added to the charm. The host Amanda, kept us up to date and communicated with us quickly, even turned the heat in for us before we arrived (it was unseasonably cold during our stay in the beginning of June). Would definitely recommend!
