On the Beach Road

You can see the waves between the houses on the beach and hear them. House is basic but fine. Well stocked kitchen. Carolina Shores was extremely accommodating. I really like the location. Really enjoyed our time there!

Great Stay that is budget friendly

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is is perfect.The house has everything that a family needs for a week at the beach. The house is maintained. The decks are perfect for sunrise and sunset views. I did email Carolina Shores to notify of sightings of roaches in the morning and I never got a response. The house was clean but we found it bothersome.

Its a great house. Brand new floors and kitchen. Had great kitchen supplies. Location is midpoint between beach access so tough if u have mobility issues. We loved it. Would recommend renting directly from Carolina Shores. It may be less expensive.

Our fall vacation

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall very nice home. But one thing absolutely upsets me, I called 2 weeks prior about a review of the house having roaches and talked with one of your associates. We'll we come down guess what we had roaches, you did send exterminator over but why did this have to happen. Especially when it was brought to your attention. My wife and I felt uncomfortable all week because of this.

Cute House, Great Location but two Issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We initially loved the house. The location was perfect. It was very quiet, cute neighborhood and the beach was not crowded at all. It felt like a private beach. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the inside was cute. Nothing fancy but enough for what we needed. Initially we thought the house was clean because it smelled like bleach when we walked in. However, we realized the house was not vacuumed as there was black dog fur everywhere and we kept finding other people’s hair. It was also dusty. What really bothered me was not only did we find a dead cockroach but the one night I went back out to the kitchen and turned the lights on and a cockroach ran across the floor. I was so freaked out the rest of the trip we slept with the lights on because I was afraid more were going to come out if we turned the lights off. I also was disappointed I couldn’t do laundry before we left because not only is the laundry area outside, down the steps in a dirty storage room but the washing machine was full of mold. The house would have been much better had it been cleaned properly. The property management company was good though because when we got there our toaster wasn’t working and they brought us a new one in about a half hour but they need to get a better cleaning service.

Relaxing in Kitty Hawk

Great Little Spot

Reviewer Comments: We've rented thru Carolina Shores for 5 years I believe, all with the same rental property, because we loved the property, the location, the fact that we can bring our dog and although we are on the other. side of beach road across from the beach, we can clearly see the ocean from our one story raised house because of the breaks in the homes that are oceanfront. It makes for an easy and quick jaunt to the beach. Carolina Shores is really good, and has gotten better in recent years. They provide a welcome bag of goodies and I feel like they do a good job of breaking down all the expenses so that you know what you are paying for.

The cottage location was great! Beach views from the front porch, nice open living space. Most importantly we could turn our vehicle around in the driveway so we did not have to back out onto the beach road! Will definitely look into staying there again and/or booking with Southern Shores!!

Adorable Kitty Hawk M&M beach house

This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks and this adorable beach house was perfect for our family of five. We absolutely loved our week here! Super location with a beautiful beachfront view. We loved sitting on the front porch every day enjoying the ocean. The house was clean, adorably decorated, and had all the amenities. A wonderful place to stay.

The house is very accurately described and was clean. Nothing about the home will wow you, but had everything we needed for our family of four. Rental company was quick to respond to the only issue we had (dryer wasn't working) and offer a good, alternative solution.

The beach was beautiful and relaxing

The house was comfortable the laundry was inconvenient separated from the living areas the “master bathroom” was very small and uncomfortable The rooms were not cleaned properly there was a dirty diaper in one of the rooms, the linen was over priced gritty and one of the towels had holes in them disappointing for the price charged Overall the place is adequate with a few changes and upgrades by the owner it’s a nice place to stay by the beach
