Privat trädgård lägenhet i historiska Uptown hus. Stort sovrum, stort badrum med egen dusch och stort öppet vardagsrum, matsal och kök. Alla helt nya, rostfria apparater. Dubbelsäng bäddsoffa. Gå tre dörrar ner till St. Charles att fånga spårvagnen ner till franska kvarteret, ta en promenad eller jogga på Mississippi River Trail eller till Audubon Park, gå tre kvarter till oändlig shopping och äta på Maple St (och satsa bara några kvarter längre till ännu fler alternativ på Oak St). Protokoll från Tulane och Loyola Universities. Och efter en lång, varm dag med att utforska NOLA, njut av ett uppfriskande dopp i vår uppvärmda pool!

Vi bor på övervåningen och är allmänt runt och kommer att vara så tillgängliga som våra gäster skulle vilja ha. Vi älskar att äta på lokala restauranger, lyssna på musik etc. och älska att dela det vi älskar om vår stad med besökare. Vi har en bok med restauranger och en lista över saker att göra i New Orleans i lägenheten.

Chillin in Nola

It was a unique arrival in NOLA with my bulldog Nola, sliding around on Carrollton Ave. to St. Charles then to Short Street. The garden apartment was snug and welcoming despite the snow around the pool and covering the lounge chairs. The weather warmed up quickly and we took advantage walking in the beautiful neighborhood and in the park, on the levee and down in the garden district. The apartment was so comfortable, enjoyed morning coffee planning each day's activities. All amenities ensured a comfortable stay. Marianne decorated their beautiful home in Mardi Gras regalia and no doubt she and Sascha will enjoy the season. I'd love to come back for more time next year!

Great place for a getaway.

Very comfortable, amenities adequate for needs. Apartment was clean, but the outside area could use some tidying up. Loved the pool which was a daily relief, especially given the triple digit heat index while we were there. If you want a great location, this is it no matter how you like to get around. Many places within walking distance. Also right by the street car or a close drive to freeways and major thoroughfares. Hosts are welcoming but also give a feeling of privacy as if you're in your own home. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in town.

Cozy Apartment

We had a fantastic stay at this basement apartment in New Orleans! The location was perfect—just a short distance to the Garden District, with several great restaurants nearby and the tram line only a few steps away, making it incredibly easy to get to get around. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, which made our stay very relaxing. The pool was wonderful! The cozy apartment had everything we needed, and the hosts were a pleasure to deal with—welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy the charm of New Orleans without staying in the busy downtown area. without staying in the busy downtown area!

Quiet and Private

I enjoyed my stay. I was in town attending a conference and working. The space is quiet away from partying and loud noises. This was wonderful. The owners are a treat to communicate with. I loved that the laundry detergent they provided was scent free and that the space did not have any scents to freshen the place up. Sometimes those are too much. I say this even though the space had a bit of a musty smell at first. I'd rather have that than tons of scents trying to mask it. The smell did go away after the first day or so. For my purposes the internet was a bit slow but I image others are there to vacation and not work. Due to my work I did not have time to enjoy the pool or the outdoor area. The owners provide a lot of information for the restaurants in the area; that was useful. Lots of good food in the immediate area and of course over in the French quarter. This place is right by a street car line. I enjoyed that immensely. Overall a good space to stay

Wonderful Location

This was our 1st trip to New Orleans in over 30 years that either myself or my husband didn’t have to work. The location is amazing. Hosts were very welcoming & helpful. Apartment was just as pictured. Very clean. Would book again.

Basement a cute getaway

Can’t beat the location…great food and shops as well as streetcar stop within walking distance. Owners very helpful when we had questions after check in. 15 min drive to attractions. Not sure if pool in private backyard accessible to us but worth asking. Nice covered patio area to hang out. Only drawback: The air seemed damp and stale inside but opening windows and using the dehumidifier helped a great deal. Didn’t hinder our enjoyment.

Nice Location

Very elegant historical area and many restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable and quiet location tp spend a weekend. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you require for cooking and the bed was very comfortable.

Good place to stay

Pros: The basement apartment that we rented was dated but pretty clean. Great location really close to the trolley pickup, Walgreens, and a few really yummy restaurants. The area is gorgeous. Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. It felt old and squishy. The bedding wasn’t cozy. Cheap and thin.

Great Location and quiet neighborhood

Stayed here the weekend after Mardi Gra and had a great time. Short drive to most places, short walk to the St Charles line, and easy walk to nearby restaurants. Owner was out of town but gave excellent instructions and had the place ready for us. They had a cleaner come in and get it ready beforehand and we met their landscapers while we were there. They take care of the property. Living space is cozy and we had no issues during our stay.

Great Apartment!

We had a really great 6 day stay at this apartment. Everything was really nice: great shower, excellent bed and sheets, fully stocked kitchen. We usually cook 1 or 2 nights, but not in a city like New Orleans, with so many wonderful restaurants near by. We brought our bikes and it was an easy 20-30 minute ride to anywhere we wanted to go. Would have used the pool if it had been warmer. Loved walking around the neighborhood. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect place to launch bike trips

I loved this apartment. It’s ground floor, under the back deck of a gorgeous house. The apartment is modern and incredibly well equipped kitchen wise. It opens to the bricked back yard which has a swimming pool. The neighborhood is mostly single family interesting New Orleans houses, some modest , some mansions. It is very easy and safe walking distance ( though mind the sidewalk upheavals due to the giant live oak roots) to quite a few different restaurants. It’s also steps away from the bike path that runs on the levee next to the Mississippi and an easy bike ride to the zoo. Also its very close to the trolley stop to take that to the French Quarter. I was traveling by myself as a much older woman and i felt fine here. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location!

This apartment was the perfect size and in the perfect location for us! It’s close to wonderful restaurants, the trolley line and Audubon park which has a great golf course, walking/biking trails and the zoo. A great stay!

Thanksgiving in New Orleans

My daughter and I really enjoyed our time here during Thanksgiving week. The walkability is great! We had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal and the outdoor lighting, pool and bamboo grove was such a lovely space to spend some downtime when not exploring.

Quite and peaceful little place.

It is a great little place to stay at. It is close enough to go pretty much anywhere you want and the rail cars are a great way to get around if you don't feel like driving. There is alot to do close by or if you feel like staying in very comfy place. The pool because of the time of year was not clean nor heated but that wasn't a deal breaker. We will definitely come back here for our future trips.

Ideal uptown enclave

This was a great location to launch for visiting our daughter who is a student in the area. It's just a couple of blocks to Carrolton Street, Maple Street, and the St. Charles streetcar. The pool was a welcome way to pass the afternoon after some shopping. The basement unit was spacious. Our host Sascha was super responsive.

Mostly Good

The owners were very nice and accommodating. The location was nice. It was a quiet neighborhood with restaurants and great access to the streetcar line. The photos of the property were slightly misleading as the property appeared bigger and brighter than it was on most days. It seemed to be a former porch that was under the house deck. However, the palmetto bugs (cockroaches) that we encountered caused us the biggest problem. While I realize that this is the south and palmetto bugs can be a way of life, this made me very uncomfortable. I found at least one bug in each room of the apartment. Assuming the owners solve the bug problem, I would probably rent again.
