Lea House - Meredith Lodging

This bright, clean, and open home takes full advantage of its elevated position over the ocean, and the vaulted ceilings bring in lots of extra light. The great room spans the front of the home, so family and friends can gather to watch for whales or enjoy the sunset together. A dining nook lets you eat meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen, or pull up a seat at the large kitchen island’s breakfast bar. You might prefer to take your plate out to the large deck, which includes a wind-screened area for breezy days. Cuddle up by the large gas fireplace and watch the smart tv hidden behind mirrored doors (there’s a fine book collection from which to choose). The spacious main-level king bedroom boasts an ocean view, and there’s a roomy queen suite with TV on the lower level; a sofa sleeper in the living room lets you invite additional guests. If you want to bring your pet, there’s a large dog kennel in the garage.

Coastal-Fix

Lea house was exactly what we were looking for, ocean view, easy walk to beach, very comfortable house that had a well-appointed kitchen. The deck with glass wind screen was a real bonus. We were two couples who travel with our small dogs, they both insisted on spending hours on the deck just watching what was happening in the neighborhood. Waldport has my favorite beach on the Oregon coast!

Lovely home, great beach access

We found the house to be warm and full of light. Their furnishings, though dated, or comfortable. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything a person could want to create a meal for themselves. We really enjoyed ourselves and would be happy to return. The only negative that I would mention Is that next to the refrigerator there is a tsunami evacuation sign hung as an art object. Out on the street corner nearest the house there is a post with an evacuation arrow, but missing the round tsunami evacuation sign that would let any newcomers know that the arrow refers to an evacuation route . We speculated that perhaps the missing sign, critical to the safety of the neighborhood, is now located next to the refrigerater in this home. I would hope that if that is the case that the homeowners would return the sign to provide guidance to others during a crisis.

Best location

Location was superb. Loved the sound of the ocean waves. Less than five minutes walk to the beach. Well stocked with kitchen ware etc. lacked screens on most of the windows and doors. Couldn’t leave them open to hear the ocean. Beds need help. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Great value. Did I mention great location

Wonderful Retreat

My family (spouse, children ages 5 & 7) and I had a lovely visit to the coast and enjoyed our stay at this location. Conveniently located to Newport, and a manageable short walk down to the beach. The house, especially kitchen, was well appointed and we enjoyed the views from the deck. The deck surface could use some refinishing, or definitely plan to wear shoes out there. We wished we'd had some basic cleaning wipes, like Clorox or Lysol or similar, stocked in the kitchen, and we found ourselves ushering several spiders out of the house each day. We noticed one window without a screen in the living room, which would have been nice to be able to keep that open, but for fear of more bugs entering the house, we kept that one closed. The game selection was a bit lacking, but the kids loved the collection of VHS movies available. We would definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

The house is a great location for staying at the beach. Even though it is not oceanside there is a great view from the kitchen and living area. We really enjoyed our stay!

Peaceful Oceanview Getaway

The property was perfect for our fathers day getaway. Check in was easy and the place was clean, had lots of amenities and had absolutely stunning views of the Ocean. We are thankful for such a wonderful place to stay and look forward to going back in the future!

Love this place

Would recommend to anyone. Staff was very helpful in the checking in process. Place was incredibly clean and having use of the garage made storing our bikes easy and convenient to go for rides.

Good experience

We all enjoyed that amazing view of the ocean from the cabin. The cabin is also well stocked with the appliances we needed to make food and enjoy our stay. Our 5 year old son did not want to leave the day we were checking out. It was great that we were able to take our pups as well and had plenty of room.

Fantastic house in great location!

Wished we could’ve stayed longer! Beautiful home with two master suites. Comfortable and clean with everything you need (except bring your own ground coffee). Short walk to a great beach, with a beautiful view from the deck. Friendly and fast communication from the owner. Highly recommend , we’ll be back!

Waldport stay

My friend and I enjoyed our stay, it’s the best place we’ve stayed since going to the coast yearly for the last 4 years. We liked it so much that we booked it again for next summer. It was clean, the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed for cooking. The view was beautiful from the deck and enjoyed listening to the waves. Also, we loved the very easy access to the beach.

Great house with amazing view

This property, although not beachfront, has a great view of the ocean from the windows and spacious deck. And It’s a quick 3 minute walk down to the beach! The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything we needed. We had a great stay and will be back.
