Beautiful Two Bedroom on the Gulf ALL UPDATED WITH A GREAT VIEW FROM A DISTANCE

Newly Painted 2 bedroom and 2 bath Furnished condo, just beautiful. On the 5th floor with a king bed and 2 double beds to sleep 6. The view from the balcony is just amazing and the unit is just breathtaking . You will Love your stay in this condo. Very nicely furnished and has a great view of the gulf from 50 yds out. You are just steps away from the Famous Sugar White Sand Beaches and Emerald Green Waters of the Gulf Coast. This is truly a super vacation paradise spot. The Emerald Isle complex was fully renovated in 2016, at a cost of over four million dollars. Enjoy local restaurants and the shopping convenience of Ft. Walton Beach but all the tourist amenities of close-by Destin (six miles). No smoking in the unit or on the balconies. No pets allowed (the owner has severe allergies). Renters must be over 25 years old.

Family vacation friendly

We had a great trip overall! Never needed the property manager for anything (grateful for that). Pictures were as described. Enough towels were provided, you will have to buy toilet paper and toiletries as they are not provided (one toilet paper roll per restroom for a week) no big deal just a heads up! There isn’t dish soap or a sponge/paper towels in the kitchen. There is on site laundry, small charge for each load! Property is well kept! Pool was nice and access to everything was nice as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect condo for our family. The beach and pool access is extremely convenient. Parking was nice and easy. Great location. Close to food and other attractions. Condo was so clean and neat. Only complaint would be the master bedroom does not get near as cool as the rest of the condo. The a/c does work great, just not as much in the master room.

Some issues with our experience.

The condo was clean, spacious and had a great view of the ocean. However when we walked in it clearly smelled like cigarette smoke. Also after we checked out the realtors home inspector tried to put us on the hook for a broken kitchen sink to get us to pay for something that was clearly not broken when we left. They said it was hanging off the counter which would be impossible since it is an under mount sink. Wouldn’t recommend going through this group (Alicia J Hollis Realtor Group) because I assume this is their standard practice and not good business.

Good place for the money

When we arrived the dishwasher was out of order but was promptly fixed the next morning. Also when we arrived the condo smelled stongly of cigarette smoke. Other than that it was a great location & nice condo. The beds were comfortable & the condo was nicely furnished.

Ok but needs improvement

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was an ok stay. Location was great and access to the beach was nice. The condo had a very stale bad smell we had trouble getting out but it dissipated after a couple of days. The living room furniture and rug were very old and unpleasant to sit on. There were no blankets or comforters on any beds and we couldn’t get hold of anybody to request help. Nobody gets back to you. The bedroom tvs were very small, one almost a laptop size. The muster bedroom was my favorite. The best mattress I have ever slept on! The kitchen had everything you needed. Also parking spot we were designated was very hard to park on and hard to get out.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No issues with the room. Not top of the line, but perfect for middle of the line people like us. I won’t rent through the realtor company again, though. The night before we were scheduled to check in wasn’t rented, I called to see if they would give us a discount on that one night because we would get there at midnight and just be sleeping there. They wouldn’t budge. Going through an owner, if there’s one night not booked, they’ll give you a discount because they’d rather get SOME money instead of none. Not the realtor company. Other than that, no issues.

Great family vacation.

The check in office was conveniently located and staffed by a very friendly staff. Everything went as smooth as anywhere i have ever stayed. The condo was large and well furnished. All the appliances and plumbing worked flawlessly. We will plan on staying with these folks on our next vacation to Fort Walton Beach.

We did have an issue with the internet, but they worked with us until it was resolved. Great view, beach was clean and not too crowded. It was in an ideal location for restaurants and other attractions. The only thing I did miss was having the washer/dryer in the condo, but I did know this coming into my stay.

Our most disappointing family vacation to date

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had to move to this unit from another property managed by Alicia Hollis Realty because the other unit had bed bugs. This unit, 509 Emerald Isle, was smaller and did not have as nice of a view as the original property, but we were thankful to at least still be on the beach during Spring Break. This unit, 509, smelled of smoke very badly. All of our items had to be washed and/or aired out when we returned home. The ice maker was broken. We were informed we could come to the realty office to pick up ice trays if we wanted, but this was after three previous trips to the office so we chose to just buy a bag of ice. The worst part, is not with this unit but with the management company. They knew the pervious unit on the other property had bed bugs and still rented it to us. AND, charged us for one night's stay there. Very unhappy with this. I do want to mention that Cher and Austin, staff at the realty company, had no control over the booking and charging us, but they were very friendly and easy to work with.
