Location is greatâless than 10 minutes drive from Newport beaches. Neighborhood is quiet and parking is easy. Room is overwhelmingly humid (even in late September) even with a dehumidifier running around the clock. Also would have appreciated more than two small towels for two guests spending three nights (two bath towels each, plus washcloths and hand towels would be nice).Generally, Iâm just looking for a clean bed and shower and basic kitchen facilities. Overall, this room is serviceable, but a few simple, inexpensive changes would make a huge difference: an actual door with a lock (thereâs only a slider), a doorknob on the bathroom, a shelf in the shower for your toiletriesâŠFloor in the whole unit is tile and slippery, finishes are sloppy, and the humidity level was nearly unbearable. The location is within a few minutes drive of restaurants, groceries, and beaches, though, which was its biggest selling point. Bed was comfy (though sofa bed, of course, was not). Nice to have access to a washer and dryer. I also appreciated that the host was prompt in returning messages.
