Våra 4 sovrum, 3. 5 badrum, 3 000 kvadratmeter hem är i en av Purgatory nyaste och mest eftertraktade stadsdelar ligger precis över motorvägen 550 från Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory) och är 39 miles norr om Durango centrum (mindre än en 30 minuters bilresa).

Njut av bekvämligheten med att vara på skidorten, men ändå ha privatlivet och extra utrymme i ett hus med garage (ett utrymme tillgängligt). Anläggningen är både en fantastisk vinterlekplats och erbjuder en mängd av alla dina favoritaktiviteter i ett kallt och bekvämt sommarklimat på 8 900 fot i höjd. För att underlätta finns det en kostnadsfri transferbuss till skidorten på vintern och sommaren.

Hemmet ligger i anslutning till över en miljon tunnland med nationell skogsmark och stöder en av de finaste vandringslederna i området. Obegränsade äventyr väntar i den ojämförliga San Juan National Forest med promenad tillgång till tre vattendrag med riklig öring och enastående utsikt över Needles Mountains.

Hemmet ligger nära Purgatory Flats trail head, en av de finaste och mest natursköna vandringarna i området samt ett damm för fiske, paddling ombord och en lekplats och på vintern finns det en längdskidspår precis utanför ytterdörr.

Huset har en fantastisk trädgård med en badtunna, BBQ Grill, Gas Fire Pit, gott om sittplatser och fantastisk utsikt över Engineer Mountain. Detta bostad är avslutat med lövträ, skiffer, sten och granitytor, alla bergsmoderna avancerade ytbehandlingar du kan förvänta dig vid nybyggnation på skidorten.

Den 4% resortavgiften som ingår i offerten är den nödvändiga resortavgiften som måste tas ut och tillåter inte åtkomst till Durango Mountain Club. Avbokningsregler: En betalning på $ 300 krävs vid bokningstillfället. Wonderful Stay - So close to Purgatory!

The home was very well kept and suitable for our two families (9 people) staying there. We enjoyed the ample space, number of bed options, hot tub, kitchen with all utensils you could ever need, plenty of seating areas, spacious garage for ski gear, ease of communication with the owner, and how nice and convenient the home was to Purgatory! Would certainly rent this home again!

Another great stay

It is spacious and comfortable, and the kitchen is well-appointed with pots, pans, coffee makers, toaster, crock pot, etc. The new beds are a significant improvement; and we love the on-demand shuttle to the ski area. The only suggestion I can make is to invest in an on-demand water heater. Given the size of the tubs, and the number of people the house accommodates, the hot water runs out very quickly. Minor suggestion that will not prevent us from renting this house again

Great house and location with just a few issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The size and layout of the house is great and perfect for our 2 families with a total of 10 people. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, nice furniture and comfortable beds. 2 issues - the hot water heater is not the correct size for a house this large. It should be tankless. 2, maybe 3 people were able to shower before the water was cold. Also, the back porch was a hazard. It was basically a solid sheet of thick ice. Walking to the hot tub was dangerous. We did find some ice melt in the garage and used it clear some but we couldn’t even find a snow shovel to use to remove some of the ice. The temps were warm so some of the ice melted on its own and I used a broom to push it to the side. We would definitely rent this place again but would love to see a few improvements.

The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. There is no air conditioning which meant the upstairs bedrooms got rather warm - especially considering it was over 80 out for most of our stay. I wish there would have been ceiling fans in the bedrooms to help move the air better. Twilight was easy to access. The kids loved the pond and playground. We also used the swimming pool at the resort. The home has been decorated very nicely and was clean and well-maintained.

Family Mountain Vacation

This mountain home accommodated our family of 9 very comfortably. We loved the patio, the view to the mountains is stunning and the hot tub was welcome after a day of hiking or fly fishing. We cooked nightly - the kitchen was well equipped with cookware and utensils. Mid-week the property management emailed to ask if there was anything we needed to make our stay more comfortable. I mentioned that a large pot for cooking pasta would be helpful for the next guests, and the next day they had one delivered to the house. We appreciated the attentive management team! We paid the additional fee for the use of the Durango Mountain Club pool and fitness center, located directly across the highway. Looking back, I wish we had not. There are so many other activities to enjoy: fly fishing, hiking, the nearby mineral baths at Durango Hot Springs Resort and Spa, river rafting, the towns of Durango and Silverton. If we ever go back to the Durango area we would look to rent this house again.

All that glitters

When we found this property on VRBO we were beyond excited to book it. Upon arrival the back porch and all of the furniture was knee deep in snow, the television remotes didn’t work, the fireplaces didn’t work, the cookware was worn out, the coffee pot leaked all over the counters when in use, the jetted tub in the master did not work, the dishes were dirty and had to be hand washed as the dishwasher is on its last leg as is the dryer. On the positive side the property management company was super responsive and immediately addressed what issues were feasible and the view at this property is absolutely breaktaking as well as super accessible to Purgatory.

A couple of things to make it great for families would be to solve the water issue where when either if the upper/downstairs bathroom were used, one of the bathrooms water would be completely shut off. This was hard the first time when we figured out there was a problem with kids in the bathrooms with soap and shampoos and one of them completely shut off. The only other issue was the construction noise for all the construction going on in and around the area.

Spectacular views!

We had an amazing stay and could not have felt more at home. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was easy and fast. The views from the back porch make this house truly special. Just a short walk to Twilight Lake for paddle boarding, fishing or kayaking and a close walk to the Purgatory trailhead. Our family had an absolute blast and would 100% stay in this home again. Highly recommend. You won’t want to leave that back porch!!

Great house! Will stay again.

The house was nice with a wonderful location. The front of the house is a bit crammed in the neighborhood but the back is wide open to the National Park and has a wonderful view. It’s likely the best view on the street. I give it 4 stars only because the house next door (which is extremely close) was under construction and there is no warning of this and no price reduction for the noise level. It wasn’t terrible but it definitely interrupted the peaceful feel during the day, especially needing the windows open during the day and sitting on the patio. This should really be disclosed. Otherwise we loved our stay and would come again.

Such nice views!

This is such a great spot to take advantage of the best that Colorado summer has to offer. The view from the back patio of national forest and Engineer mountain was wonderful. Our family walked to Bucks for a great horseback ride, back and forth to the lake for fishing and kayaking, enjoyed the small playground, and took a good hike at the trailhead nearby. The property next door is under construction. A temporary challenge and just part of a growing area but something nice to know ahead of time as you’ll spend the night with the windows open for AC. Otherwise, a great visit!

Simply Amazing!!!

Everything was perfect! From the moment we arrived until we locked up to leave we didn’t have a single issue with the rental. The home is amazingly beautiful and had plenty of space for our family of 10. It was conveniently located to both Durango and Silverton but far enough away to feel secluded. We would definitely have stayed longer if we could have made it happen!!!

Three Generations in Durango

Very nice and exceptionally well equipped property. Owner very responsive to our every need. Stairs to bedrooms were a bit of a challenge for the “old folks” and no bathroom for upper floor bedroom. We would have liked an awning on the main deck;; it was so hot to sit there for any length of time. Altogether a very favorable impression in a beautifully secluded setting.
