Jekyll Beach - Terrapin Haven

Jekyll Island är statligt ägt, och som sådan är utvecklingen av ön begränsad till endast 35% av ön och skapar en mycket lugn, avslappnad atmosfär. Om du vill "komma ifrån allt" är det här platsen! Stränderna är relativt ostörda och sommaren är en bra tid att se de enorma havssköldpaddorna komma ut på stranden för att lägga sina ägg.

Detta är en semesteruthyrning som är tillräckligt stor för hela klanen, men ändå bekväm för en eller två, och den ligger i Jekyll Beach-området. Hemmet har massor av vardagsrum, inklusive ett solrum som är perfekt för spel och underhållning. Matbordet har sex platser, men om det bara finns två, bara sitta i frukostbaren. Jekylls nyaste träkorsning till stranden ligger tvärs över gatan. Detta hus ligger på den västra sidan av Beachview och ligger cirka 100 meter från stranden.

Quiet getaway from life’s stresses

The property is located near beach access. The neighbors were quiet and we were visited by occasional wildlife. The property suited the needs of 3 adults perfectly. The owner was very responsive and friendly.

Great house

The house was wonderful! Everything was clean and comfortable. The A/C works great! The only downside was the "beach access" across the street had missing stairs, so we had to walk down another 3-4 blocks for a beach access walkway that had proper stairs. Definitely not the property owners fault, just a miniscule inconvenience

Great Place to Stay

The house was even more spacious and well-appointed than expected, and we all appreciated it. We would be happy to recommend it. The knives and pans were not the greatest, but acceptable for a five-day stay.

Large Family Vacation to our favorite place!

We love visiting Jekyll Island and this is our second time staying at this home! It was great both times. There is plenty of space, plenty of linens, washer/dryer, access to the beach. The air conditioner went out the first night we arrived and it was handled very quickly! Check in and Check out was easy! 100% would reccomend staying here. We may come back for a 3rd time in the next few years!

Nice house and great location

The house, while older, is very well taken care of, which is much more important to me than the age of the house. This was a "guys" trip for me, my dad, and my son (9), and it did not disappoint. beach access was close, and the bike trails run right across the street from the house. The HVAC worked great and so did the showers and everything else. If you are looking for a quiet house with plenty of living space I would suggest this house. The next trip we plan I will be looking for the availability of this house again.

Jekyll Island Family Vacation

The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We loved being able to walk across the street to the beach. The beach does disappear, but if you watch the tide times, you can enjoy a very nice private beach with no problems. The island has enough stuff to keep you busy. Love the nature on the island and the history!

Plenty of living space

This property worked well for our first time on Jekyll and to spend time with our grandchildren. There are three "living areas" that made it convenient for multiple activities to go on--TV, play games, visit, etc. The outside shower was very convenient. The home is older, and appears to be a work "in progress" as things are being updated.

Exceptional property

The property was just as listed and even bigger than we pictured. We travelled with three adults and three children and had ample space. The property was extremely clean and well stocked kitchen with very easy beach access. We communicated with the owner and she even called us prior to checkin. Great experience and would recommend to anyone staying in Jekyll island.

Lovely vacation stay

We had a lovely 5 day vacation stay at this home on Jekyll. Perfect home base, great to have room to spread out. Only complaint is beds are dated and uncomfortable. We would stay here again.

Great time

The property was great. There was plenty of space. It was close to the public beach access. Unfortunately, the high tide and small beach required us to travel to the south beaches in order to stay out for the day. Other than that, I would stay at this property again.

This location is great...beach access just across the road. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. whether we cooked in or ate out. Well stocked kitchen with bakeware, utensils, etc.

Jekyll Island is a true beach vacation as I remember in the 80's. Jekyll has avoided the busy growth of nearby St. Simons, and as a state park, allows a quiet vacation experience.
