Large family holiday home - 3 min walk to Cowes beach

Awalkaway’s appeal starts with its location: 2 minute walk to the beach without having to cross a main road and a 5 minute walk to Cowes waterfront restaurants, cafes and shops. Cowes beach is a calm north facing beach, perfect for families, swimming and paddling, and long walks at sunset.

Located on a very quiet street, our home sleeps up to 6 adults plus 4 children – great for 2 families and perfect for smaller groups too.

All bookings include hotel quality linens for 6 - so you can start relaxing the moment you arrive!

The house is set over 2 levels. On the lower level you’ll find the bunk room, rumpus room with pool table and TV with DVD player and free WiFi, plus DVDs, books and games to keep big and little kids entertained while you relax upstairs. Full laundry, toilet and an original shower room are also on the lower level.

Upstairs you’ll find 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining and main living room, main TV with Netflix, WiFi and access to the outdoor deck – great spot for a morning coffee or sunset drinks. Upstairs is wonderfully light and bright with 2 new split system ACs that take care of any excessively hot, or cold days easily. The kitchen is a 60s original, yet has all new appliances and cooking/serving utensils. It also has a dishwasher, microwave and coffee pod machine. Also upstairs is a separate toilet and original main bathroom with its funky fibreglass spaceship bath shower combo! Shower water pressure is great too.

There is plenty of off street parking for at least 3 cars and a boat. At the entrance under the main deck you'll find space for under cover parking, bike parking rack and you are welcome to use all the beach items - surfboard, beach buggy, boogie boards and plenty of beach buckets, shovels and toys.

The backyard is very large and grassy. It is also secure and fenced all sides. There is also an outdoor table, bar stools and brand new BBQ.

The house is central to the world-famous Penguin Parade and other fantastic attractions such as the Nobbies Centre, Seal Rocks, Koala Reserve and the Grand Prix Circuit. Whale and Seal tours and the French Island/Stoney Point Ferry leave from Cowes Jetty, which is just a 6 mins walk away.

Awalkaway is tastefully decorated for comfort, while keeping much of its 60s spirit. The house is clean, everything works as it should, but its location is the prize!

Linens: All bookings include bed-linen and bath towels for up to 6 quests. We are happy to arrange additional linen on request at $20 per guest (or BYO). Beach towels are not provided.
