We had a wonderful time at Pelican Beach. It was very busy and the elevators always had a wait but the pools didnt feel terribly overcrowded. The unit we stayed in was wonderful, the beds were so comfortable and i loved watching the Gulf from the balcony. The unit did not have scissors or a small paring knife so if that is something you need, make sure to pack it. I didnt really use any of the other cooking utensils besides plates and cups. The door in the bathroom definitely needs fixed, it scrapes the floor when you open and close it and the shower door creaks when opening and closing. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your place!

Great location & great view

Pros: Location within resort is great. Great front view of the beach. Bed was comfortable and resort itself was great! Only left twice the whole week! Beach service was great (300 for the week for 2 people front row) Cons: Don’t expect to check in a minute before 4pm! Couch in living room needs to be replaced as it’s broken (has been for a while according to previous reviews). They need tall top table & chairs on the balcony. You can’t see over the rail when you sit down on the balcony in current chairs.

Family vacation

We loved the unit. Prime location. We had no issues with this unit. The sleeper couch was broken but they had communicated with us before we arrived. Communication was great! We would definitely book again!

Beautiful views!

Our first time to Destin and it was absolutely beautiful. The views from the balcony were amazing. The condo could use a bit of a facelift. There were some mildew spots and peeling paint. Overall, a very nice place to stay!

Pelican Beach Club

This property is a must stay. Great amenities, well trained and attentive staff and a secured location. Fantastic view of the Gulf and conveniently located. This is within walking distance of several great breakfast spots.

Condo was very nice! View of the ocean is gorgeous! Nice big kitchen and bathrooms! The balcony is spacious! Tv/ WiFi was slow and old especially in the bed room hard to connect to wide and tv was outdated but not horrible. The patio did have soft old socks on some cover on the wall for some reason

Great location

Right on the beach. Cute condo. We were not able to get in when we first arrived as our code didn’t work, but it was resolved within 2 minutes. I misread the description…….there are washers and dryers on property (in fact, they were catty-cornered across the hall from our condo), but not inside the condo. The facility w/d will cost $2 each to use. I wound stay here again.

Property was just as described in listing. Very quiet when we were there. Check in was a breeze. Condo was nicely decorated and in great condition. Very spacious. View was tremendously beautiful. Nice secure place to vacation to. cafe was great for breakfast and great pizzas! Will definitely go back. Highly recommend this property.

Amazing place to stay!

Way above our expectations! The price was reasonable, we were right on the beach & in the middle of Destin, everything was within a 10 minute driving distance. The property was immaculately clean. We definitely will be back & hope to be able to stay here again. The only small hiccup we had was our room code needed reset but they were able to reset it within minutes with a phone call. We stayed for our honeymoon & it was perfect. There was also a tiki bar by the pool that was so convenient & delicious!

Easy beach access

Right on the beach. Clean property. Comfortable bed. It had everything we needed. They need to fix the lights in the hallway due to flickering, they never stopped. Overall great place to stay.

Beach access

Property was great. The problem we had was beach access with our beach equipment. They are trying to force you to rent there beach equipment which would have costed us $500 for the week! Couldn’t even go to one side or the other cause the whole beach was “private”! Makes me mad that they don’t wanta even give you half of it to use. So we had to sneak next door b4 9am every day b4 there gaurd was on duty so we had access to the beach with our equipment remotely close to the water!

Pelican Beach Resort unit 1403

We rented unit 1403 on vrbo thru Southern Vacation rentals. The actual condo unit was as described. The showers need updating. Those pictures did not show an up close view and they were in need of remodeling. For the premium price we paid to rent this unit i expected better. Also, the couch was broke down and terrible to sit on. The worst part was the beach umbrella chair rentals. We took our own chairs and umbrella for the beach. However, the resort uses a beach service and the rentals take up 3/4 of the beach front. You are NOT allowed to set up personal beach chairs and umbrellas in front of the rentals. Therefore, you are “ in the back of the bus”. So, no sitting by the beach period. They will make you move. If we had known that we couldn’t sit up near the beach we wld have stayed somewhere else. Others there did not know that either and were upset about it as well. We also were upset bc we paid for early arrival and it was approved. We received a text when we were on our way to FL that they were having problems getting our unit cleaned on time so no early check in. We got our money back but had to wait 5 hours on our room and it still was not ready on time. That is the later check in time. So, overall it started bad with check in. Then, we couldn't sit near the ocean at all. Bathrooms were gross. Couch was broke down. But, the food at the cafe was great and affordable! The ocean water and view was spectacular! The pools are questionable. We would not get in them bc they are small and super shallow. You can prolly guess why we did not swim in them for the above said reasons and tons of little kids in them. I hope this review was helpful. I really wish we wld have known about the beach set ups and that our early arrival would not have gotten changed. There is nothing worse than being tired and sleepy from a long drive and having to wait for hours in a lobby.

It was clean condo room but the door code was aggravating not working mostly and you have to wash your own towels the last day we couldn’t even sit our chairs on the beach up front so next time we will go somewhere else definitely!! It was ok only

Perfect getaway!

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay! Everything was as advertised. The only suggestion, the sofa and patio furniture need updating, otherwise, this was a really good condo to celebrate my husband birthday! We'll be back!
