Vacation rentals near Wilmington Riverwalk

We arrived later than expected. We had called Suzy to give her an estimated time, and she said no problem. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. We were greated by Leslie, and she was awesome. We had a brief tour of the house and given the instructions. The house is large and spacious. Plenty of room for all of us. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen and the great room. Loved them both. The pool was so nice. We wish we had given ourselves more time to enjoy it. The bar in the pool area was greaty appreciated. And the surround sound too. There were plenty of bedrooms, and bathrooms. And all the blankets and pillows you could need. The back deck was nice, with all the lights lit at night. It was a perfect location for our long weekend, close to everything, just minutes away. The host and staff were fantastic. Everything we needed was there. Time went by so fast, and before we knew it , it was time to leave. It is an amazing place to stay, we totally recommend it. Thanks Suzy and Leslie....The Sisters

Our family stayed at the White Clay Creek Cottage for the first week back in the States after living abroad for ten years. It was the perfect cozy spot to recalibrate and ease back into American life. We had our dog with us and it felt like a relaxed space where we didn’t have to constantly worry because it is clearly set up to be a dog friendly space. The decor is tasteful and chic while retaining its country cottage charm. There were tons of thoughtful details throughout the cottage, like a coffee station and toiletries. The cottage is located close to Newark, which was good for accessing shops, but far enough out of town to really feel peaceful. There is a great public park just down the road for walks with the dog. The only tricky bit, as others have noted, is the driveway. We found that passing the cottage, when coming from Newark, and turning around in a neighborhood further up the way allowed us to slow down in the shoulder before turning into the driveway. Very manageable once we worked out the safest approach. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this property to others looking for a break from the hustle and bustle. The apartment is beautifully appointed and in an excellent location with close access to a park (across the street) and shopping.

Cheryl and Don’s guest suite was perfect for a short stay exploring all that is offered by the Brandywine Valley. Although the suite does not have a kitchen, the mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker were perfect for our needs. The unit had many thoughtful touches, including bathrobes, extra toiletries, and small snacks. Muffins and coffee cream were provided for our first morning. The bed was comfortably made up and of medium firmness. Our hosts were very easy to work with and we never heard them (the unit is attached to their home through a locked door). We would definitely consider staying with them again.

What a beautiful and charming little place. It was perfect for our visit to Chadds Ford. The owner is a lovely person who went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience.
