  • Perfect house on an amazing island!

"Peaks is an amazing island to spend time on with young kids and this is the PERFECT house to rent. Beautifully furnished, light and airy, wraparound porch from your dreams, outdoor shower, amazing views, perfect sunsets, close to everything. You'll come back again and again and again."

  • Beautifully decorated, super clean and good location.

"This guest house is exactly as described. We enjoyed a four day stay in the area and were pleasantly surprised as to how quiet the area was. We were especially glad to be in a "neighborhood" area rather than in a tourist area. The beautiful city of Portland, the shopping area of Freeport and the other fine beaches (such as the one in Scarborough) are only about 30 minutes away. We fortunately had gorgeous weather which made those day trips most enjoyable. We were happy to find this gem in our first time using VRBO."

  • Peaceful Secluded Getaway

"This was our first "family" vacation that all four generations were in attendance. Parents, children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. 20 of us to be exact, with five of those being under the age of 10. I can't say enough about Sarah and her willingness to help me plan and iron out details for this vacation. She was so kind and helpful throughout the nine month planning process. The house was more than big enough to accommodate our large group. We had evening meals in the great room with all 20 of us sitting around the two large tables. We came from Pennsylvania where it had been hot and typically 100% humidity. The relief of cool air, low humidity, open windows, and no air conditioning was a much welcome break for all us. The short walk to the beach was not an issue, even for my parents who are in their late 70's. The children all found sea shells, sea glass, sand dollars, and had so much fun walking out to the "island" when the tide was out. We walked along The Giant Stairs, visited The Candy Store, Land's End Gift Store, and were able to rent paddle boards for the week. There were plenty of sand toys at the house for the kids who had a fierce sand castle competition. The kitchen was more than adequately stocked with plenty of dishes, flatware, pots, pans, etc. There were two coffee pots, which was great for such a large group. The yard is extremely large and was perfect for the kids. The adults were even conned into a game of wiffle ball. If you want chocolates on your pillow, fancy restaurants, and high end shopping, this isn't the place for you. But, if you want a vacation where curling up with a book on a nice front porch, listening to wind blow through pine trees, and kids giggling in the yard is the ordinary day, this is your place. If morning walks on a quiet beach is more appealing than a bustling boardwalk, this is your place. We had a fabulous vacation. Thank you Sarah for help making that happen."

  • lovely cottage with beautiful views

"Our family of 5 stayed in the cottage during the Bowdoin graduation (2016). I echo the comments of the previous review.... welcomed by flowers, wine, and everything we needed (BBQ, blender, bikes, etc). It reminded me of the Maine cottages of my youth. It was a perfect location to easily get to events in Brunswick but have a 'get-away' to host friends and family for dinners. There are several tables of different sizes and lots of chairs and we were able to seat many on the porch on one beautiful evening, and then were able to set up dinner for 8 in the livingroom on a cool night. It was just perfect. we loved the walks around Mere Point and recommend getting lobsters and other freshly baked goods from the marina/store near by. When i inquired about picking up lobsters, I discovered the marina will cook lobsters for you and package them to stay warm and they baked rolls and a blueberry desert to order! I would definitely recommend this cottage for families. We hope to come back."
