  • Beautifully kept property

"I had the most wonderful week at this little cottage. The wished I could have stayed longer. The view from the porch is 100 times better than the picture indicates. The beach is closer than it appears in the photo and so charming. Every night I walked the beach at sunset and the sunsets were gorgeous. The bed and sheets were comfy and soft, big fluffy white towels were luxurious. Jennifer, the land lady was lovely, accessible, discreet and a pleasure to meet. Do not miss her icecream at Willard scoops. The cottage is convenient to Portland where I was working. The neighborhood was quiet with very nice neighbors. Parking was right next to the cottage, the kitchen had every amenity needed for simple cooking. I just loved it so much. It exceeded my expectations."

  • Terrific home for large groups - oh, what a view!

"Our extended family had such a great stay at the Maxwell Point House! The home had everything we wanted: beach access, breathtaking views of the ocean, pool, hot tub, and enough beds and space for us all, plus they allowed us to use all their stuff from bikes and beach chairs, to lobster pots and crackers. Tia was super helpful. She showed us around the house and left us with recommendations for grocery shopping, restaurants in town, etc. Cape Elizabeth is a short drive to Portland with terrific shopping, restaurants, bars, ocean excursions, and so much more that we ran out of time before we ran out of things to do. We found a few good golf courses nearby (Nonesuch, Dunegrass and Riverside which is more open for the directionally-challenged golfer), a driving range where you hit balls into the water (what?!) and took a ferry from Portland to Peak's Island to rent bikes for a morning. Nearby, we would recommend The Local Buzz for coffee, bagels and breakfast sandwiches, and Alewives to buy live lobsters and farm produce. Of the two closest restaurants, the food at The Good Table was good but a bit pricey, and our meals at Rudy's were inconsistent. Portland was worth the (short) trip if you're looking for more choices in restaurants. Two we would recommend are Duck Fat for lunch and Ribollita for dinner, both on Middle Street. Overall, this was the absolute perfect house for us, everything was as advertised and then some - we hope to be back again!"

  • Quintessential Maine!

"Stop looking. You've found the perfect Maine getaway for a weekend retreat, down east vacation, or "life sabbatical." I needed a place to stay for the winter months and did I ever find a gem! I felt comfortable from the minute I arrived. Pat is a wonderful host ~ her guest's happiness is her primary concern and she'll do whatever she can do to ensure it. She has an innate sense of when to "be there" and when to "let be." I felt like I had the whole property to myself!! There are straight on views of the cove from both the living area and bedroom. I loved to see the morning light shine on the woods across the bay and watch the ducks and seagulls do their thing. The space feels spacious ~ just the right size for a couple or a family with a couple of kids. And the location couldn't be better. Privacy on the Maine coastline and yet close to all the best that Maine that has to offer. I'd highly recommend this property!! Contact Pat if you're looking for a month-to-month rental. It was just what I was looking for....peaceful, comfortable, and healing....I felt lucky to be there every day."

  • Lovely, peaceful place

"I had a lovely, peaceful stay at High View in Harpswell, ME. The house is very comfortable and cozy, and is right on the water, which was beautiful."
