  • We <3 Maine!!!

"We had a great time staying at the house, as soon as we got there we realized that the pictures online don’t make justice to the house. The house is way better in real life. We had a little hipcup at the beginning with the hot water not running, but Ardell and Mike did everything in their power to fix it and did the right thing by us; besides that, we loved our stay in Harpswell, everything was so peaceful, beautiful sunrises and amazing sunsets, Portland, Freeport and so many other places to explore are within 25-30 minutes away or less. We went whale watching, we were surrounded by whales, it was amazing!!, Our boxer Ginger and our little one year old Kaylee enjoyed our little walks by the beach, we kayaked, were able to enjoy ourselves thanks to Grandpa being there ;) We will definitely be coming back. We <3 Maine."

  • Summer escape

"We were looking for an escape from the Florida summer heat, and Maine seemed the perfect solution. Although we spent only two weeks at Sea Grass Farm, it felt like home while we were there. The house is very comfortable, and Marcy and Joel were great resources during our stay. The house is conveniently located for day trips to lots of interesting places. Our dog also loved the house and the large property, which allowed her the freedom to be off leash . Although we did have some encounters with ticks, we had given the dog a tick medication before we got there, so they didn't cause any problems for her."

  • Favorite Summer Memories!

"This was our third year staying at this Prouts Neck home. It has become a highlight of our summer and a favorite family tradition. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well-situated close to the beach. You can tell that the owners take great pride in the home and that they enjoy sharing this gem with guests. The house is immaculate upon arrival with extra touches such as provided soap and toilet paper. Even beach chairs and beach towels are available for use! The beds are extremely comfortable and the house easily sleeps our family of 10. While we were there this year, it was extremely hot. However, it is comfortable to sleep at night with the windows open and the ample provided fans. The kitchen is very neat, practical and modern. I love the convenience of the washer and dryer right in the kitchen. The bathrooms are modern and clean with great showers. Nothing can top the amazing beach (only a 5 minute walk from the house!) and the cliff walk. The beach is calm, quiet and peaceful. A true get-away! Yet, many attractions are close by, if you want to venture out by car to restaurants, shops and activities. We already look forward to returning next summer!"

  • So relaxing!!

"We have had a wonderful week here at the Lofty Cottage. The house has everything we needed for our home away from home. The views off the deck are spectacular, especially in the morning as the sun rises. My 3 kids have enjoyed playing and jumping off the dock. They have explored the rocky coastline during low tide and have especially enjoyed their own "fort" up in the loft of the home. We have watched daily the lobster boats haul their traps right infront of the house, saw a harbor seal off the dock and enjoyed the beautiful sailboats coming and going. The 2 kayaks were a huge bonus for our group. We kayaked the shoreline and went to the little island in the middle. Everything has been great, relaxing and enjoyable!! Morse Cribstone restaurant, the Dolphin restaurant, the Candy Shop (for ice cream), 2 Coves Farm for fresh meats and produce, The Vegetable Corner, the Island Eatery and taking a Lobster Boat Tour with Capt. Jay McGowen were all spectacular!! Harpswell is a wonderful area with very friendly people. We will be back!!"
