I absolutely loved the flat. It was perfect for a small family. It was clean, comfortable and the location was just fantastic. It was walking distance to everything we needed. Trevi was a nice walk and I am no exercise buff – the Spanish Steps, Pantheon & Colosseo were easily reached by foot. A grocery store is just a few blocks away. Nice restaurants, shops and places for coffee are all within a 5-minute stroll. The Republicca subway station is a few blocks away. Termini is nearby, where you can get trains outside Rome as well as buses to the Vatican. The refrigerator works well and has ample space. The washer and dryer are wonderful assets – but I recommend drying the clothes on the rack in the apartment. There are ample hangers, but only a few small drawers so there isn’t much space for clothes. Likewise, there isn’t much space in the bathroom for toiletries, but just take in what you need & you are fine. Large recycling bins can be found on the streets where you can recycle bottles and paper. It was simple but definitely served the purpose & is priced accordingly. It was a much better experience than a hotel. There is no phone in the flat. The internet signal works best in the bedroom. The beds were comfortable & clean. We visited in November so the AC wasn’t necessary. The street is very noisy – but after a busy day, didn’t impede our ability to sleep. The bedroom & living room were both comfortable. The arched ceilings were a great change from our home in the US. The window to Via Nazionale was great too. They do not have windows and shutters like that here at home (Maine) and my son really enjoyed opening it and taking in the view of the bustling street. The entrance to the building is wonderful change of scenery from our rural home – I loved the big doors and then the garden when you walk toward the staircase. It is only a short walk up the stairs to the flat. Nicola was a wonderful help and was responsive before, during & after our stay. I would recommend this flat in a heartbeat. I received my deposit back in a timely manner. I only have 2 minor complaints: the bathroom door is tricky to close – It’s a lock on the bottom of the door; and although the flat was very clean, the toilet bowl is stained. I bought bleach, but that didn’t take care of it. The sink in the kitchen had the same kind of smell – but not overpowering. Other than that, the rooms, shower, walls, bathroom sink and everything else were in top order.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: I would like to thank you for your recent visit to our flat. It was truly a pleasure to serve you. Fabio & Nicola

We have stayed at this apartment in July 2012. We have booked the apartment for 3 days and we totally enjoyed every one of them. Rome has a lot to offer and it is absolutely wonderful to stay in such a spacious, well designed and built out and comfortable apartment. I would like to add that pictures that you see on VRBO are accurate and, taking it 1 step further, do not do justice describing this apartment. It was clean, modern, comfortable and very inviting. The location is perfect, close to everything. Subway station is 2 minutes away and Termini is 5 minutes away. Regarding the other guests' comment about the notice, what are, you, guys, complaining about? The apartment is centrally located right in the heart of Rome. Sure, via Nazionale is a busy street and there is some street noise when you open the windows, but it is just a pleasant background noise, city noise, if you will. The apartment is in the center of Rome, not is suburbia or countryside, so a certain noise level is expected, may it be in center of London, New York or Rome. When the windows are closed, you can barely here any noise from the outside. Also, in the middle of July it was 95'F (30'C) outside, hot and sticky. We felt was very comfortable to keep the windows closed and Air Conditioner on (a rare luxury in Rome!! Please, note this!). We slept and rested well. Our City manager Nicola was very kind and helpful. She met us at the apartment at arranged time, greeted and showed the apartment promptly. The check out process was quick and effective. No problems whatsoever. I have to attest that reservation process is easy and effective, the apartment is well managed and city manager is excellent. Long story short, we totally enjoyed our stay. It was well worth the money and if we had a chance to visit Rome again (which, I hope, we will have soon. We dropped a coin in Trevis fountain as expected!), I would LOVE to book and reserve this apartment again and again (as long as the owner offers the frequent guest incentives ;)) . I would love to recommend this apartment without any hesitations to all my friends and colleagues.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed in this flat for eight days during our stay in Rome, from Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 to Wednesday, July 18th, 2012 . When booking, I arranged for a driver to pick us up at Fiumicino Airport. While our flight was an hour late, the driver was two hours late - and we only saw him walk up as we were beginning to hail a taxi. We also used this driver for the return trip to the airport, in which case he was on time. The city manager, Nicola, greeted us at the flat and explained how to use the amenities. She spoke English well and was friendly, but it was hard to follow what she was saying due to her toddler running around the flat. I attempted to contact Nicola on four occasions, both before and during our trip, and only received a response to the last attempt, and only then after waiting three days. The location of the flat is within walking distance of most major sites as well as the Metro. As others have pointed out, however, it directly faces Via Nazionale - a VERY busy thoroughfare at all times of the day and night. The road noise was almost unbearable at times, as were the hoots and hollers of drunkards leaving bars and restaurants at night. We never once had the opportunity to peacefully open the window. Also, vagrants and beggars sit just outside the complex's doorway each night as the sun set. The flat itself looked to have been straightened up, but had not had a serious cleaning in quite some time. There were dirt and stains throughout. The glass surrounding and on top of the shower was disgusting. The TV/DVD remotes had dead batteries, the main room's window's hinges were broken, and the sliding door for the bathroom/shower was missing the latch to keep it closed (we had to wedge a towel under it to get any privacy). I paid for an extra set of linens to be delivered halfway through our stay (which Nicola confirmed when I met her), but they never arrived. There was only enough detergent for half a load of laundry, and the dryer was completely incapable of getting items dry - causing us to hang-dry everything. As Nicola eluded to when I met her, the Wi-Fi signal and speed was horrid - In order to get any signal, you must stand in the far corner of the flat. Taking a step away would cause the signal to drop completely. While we were very disappointed, this flat has a ton of potential. With a more professional manager, timelier communication, and better cleaning/maintenance, I'd recommend the flat in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We were very disappointed to receive this review. The apartment is very well located, close to amenities and most important sights in central Rome. The flat has recently been renovated, and has efficient double glazed windows. We would like to point out the following: When booking, guests are told to contact the manager on phone if they can not find the driver at the airport. This is obviously especially important if the flight is late or they have experienced other delays, for example, the guests said that they had also spent time trying to find a money exchange office at the airport, before trying to find the driver. The guests arrived on July 10th. First contact was made to the manager on July 8th with details of their arrival, to which there was no reply. A further email highlighting a last minute change of flight number was sent on July 9th, and details of this were passed on to the driver. A last and third email was sent on July 15th confirming departure details for July 18th, and the reply was sent on July 16th. In the terms and conditions of the apartment and also indicated vocally by the manager, guests are asked to raise any cleaning or maintenance issues that they may encounter as soon as they become apparent, so that these very easily resolvable issues can be sorted out. The manager and assistants are available to aid guests during their stay and make sure things run as smoothly as possible. To have a contrasting view of the professionalism of the apartment manager, please see other reviews. We obviously would like guests to have a wonderful experience in Rome, and not leave disappointed with their accommodation. The guests have been given a considerable refund for their disappointment.

The location cannot be beat. Close to the major train station Termini, a metro stop, numerous bus lines that run on Via Nazionale and nearby streets, and in walking distance to the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon, and other sights. The area in general is in a modern part of Rome with lots of shopping. The apartment is on the first European floor, up a flight of stairs from the ground level. It is clean, modern and very architectural but elements could be more functional like space in the bathroom to put t;oiletries. Just down the street away from the train station is a nice grocery store with a good wine selection. Across fhe street at an "Irish Pub" you can get a full American style breakfast before noon if you need a bacon and eggs fix. Lots of restaurants close by in walking distance. One possible concern is noise. There is only one window in the apartment in the bedroom area that opens up onto Via Nazionale, a major street with car, bus, truck and emergency vehicle traffic 24 hours a day. Opening the window for air could cause a noise problem for light sleepers or those that cannot adapt to the environment.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I cannot believe I never submitted a review. We stayed at this apartment in June, 2010 as part of our honeymoon trip to France and Rome. The accommodations were wonderful. We were basically close to everything. The metro was very close to the apartment, as well as drug store (as my husband had fallen and needed some ibuprofen), restaurants, the sights, and was easy to get around. The apartment was very clean and Nicola was wonderful. It was fabulous and I have recommended this flat to friends that are traveling to Rome in the very near futureRecommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We just returned from a week in this flat and all was found as advertised in the ad. Nicola met us on time and was a delight, directing us to the nearest market and filling us in on all the workings of the apartment etc. Other posters are correct that there is some road noise and the overall cleanliness was only a 7 or 8 out of 10. Our stay was a re-booking as we had to cancel our trip last April. At that time the owner refunded all money without penalty so we were very confident dealing with him again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks a lot for your comment, Nazionale Flat has a major refurbishment already scheduled in the next months to offer even more services.

We rented a flat from this owner from Sep 9 - 13 of 2011. We primarily wanted this exact flat, the Trevi, as we knew it was as centre as it gets. The flat was unavailable so we ended up taking the campo di fiori flat. We were a bit unsure at first about how far it was from everything. But WOW! We are so glad we made the decision we did. Not only did we walk to Trevi, Vatican, Piazza Di Spagna and all the other attractions (and it was less than 15 minute walk to all these places) but the neighbouthood was supreme. Campo has a lot of boutiques near by so you can shop till' you drop but also a lot of restaurants, nightlife and other great things. The best part is that if you wish to be in a more quite neighborhood this is great ad the flat is on a little quiet street but within a minute's walk you are right in the middle of it all at campo. The place was clean, comfortable and more than roomy for two people. We didn't even use the second bedroom. I couldn't say enough good things about it. And Nicola (the building manager) was super sweet and helpful. Definitely get this flat or any other flats by this owner ... Especially the campo flat!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed there for 4 nights during our stay in Rome. The apartment is located near the Termi Train Station which is around 15 mins walk , but don't walk the inner streets coz it can be confusing if you are new to Rome. Go straight to the Republica Square and there you will see Nationzale. The apartment is located on the first floor and it is very spacious, with a bed room with 2 single beds plus a soft bed in the living room. The kitchen and bathroom are newly designed and everything are same as we saw from the pictures. However, something that cannot be seen from the photos need to be improved. First of all, the internet signal is very poor. The router is located at the next door unit where the signal cannot be strong enough to cover 2 units at the same time. Most of the time I have no signal and cannot go online. Since the apartment is located on a main street where traffic is very busy, a ear plug is an asset if you are a light sleeper. The shower box is big but hot water can use up quickly if you have more than 2 person living in the unit. The kitchen looks new but is not very very clean, stains and dirt can be found. The sofa and the area rug also has noticeable dirt. I think some more cleaning work and some slightly extra decoration will make the unit looks different; all of these are just matter of better maintenance. The property manager greeted us on arrival, and briefed us about the unit and I eventually figured out where the cooking equipment and how to use the oven and the washer by myself which was totally okay for me. I will recommend this unit to others but I would also be happy to see the unit with some extra add on such as a shower curtain, a small bookshelf, or maybe a coffee table to replace the little triangle small table to put those Cable box, DVD player and so on. some pictures to hang on the wall and also please remove the mirror that facing the bed ( not everyone would like to see oneself wake up in the middle of night from the mirror) I think for this amount of money that people pay for, the recommendation on the unit will definitely be justified. I look forward to see a newer and cleaner look in this unit so as not to waste such a spacious and well designed unit. Keep on work hard to maintain it !!Recommended for: Sightseeing.
Owner response: As the guest says, the apartment is spacious, recently renovated and well located (corresponding to the photographs) and is very popular with families and couples. Our aim is that guests are happy with their stay and so we are very disappointed that the guest was not entirely satisfied with some elements of the apartment - and will bear his comments and suggestions in mind and work hard to make sure future guests have no reason to be dissatisfied. We acknowledge a problem with the internet line during the guest's stay - this was a network problem in general that the internet provider had to resolve. The guest received a small compensation for the inconvenience. The router has been specifically positioned by a technician in the next door apartment to give good wifi internet coverage in both apartments.

This appartment was perfect for my wife and I to explore Rome during our 7 day visit. It is centrally located within easy walking distance to the Rome Termini (main train station) and all of the major sites, (pantheon, colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Borghese Gardens, Campo Fiori, Piazza Nuove). The Vatican can also be reached by walking (30 minutes) but the Metor A line is 1 1/2 short blocks away and it takes to there in about 8 minutes. Nicola who greeted us was great. She showed us how the apartment worked, told us where the nearest grocery was and answered any questions we had. She even produced a couple of umbrellas in case we needed them during the week, (we didn't, the weather was perfect all week). Everything in the apartment was clean and worked as advertised. The owners of this apartment have several others in Rome and they know what they are doing. I would recommend renting from them and my wife and I will be doing so again in the future.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thankyou for your note and for having chosen our flat in Rome. For any friends or family coming to Rome, they can have a Special Discount as "Preferred Guests", you can give them this VRBO Listing. Thanks again and looking forward to meeting you in the future again in Rome. Kind Regards Fabio & Nicola
