This place was great! Cynthia took good care of us, the house was much nicer and larger than we expected. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to sleep a large number of people for a reasonable price. Close to streetcar system to get downtown or to the french quarter or a cab most anywhere is $15.

This was the smoothest transaction I have had. Cynthia was wonderful to work with. The kitchen is fantastic and we had a great time cooking Red Beans, Crawfish Etoufee and Gumbo...everything we needed was at our fingertips. We had 4 kids at the house and they LOVED the pingpong table, pool table and playing hide-n-go seek for hours. It is a beautiful home and I slept like a baby. CON: I felt the distance to downtown was alot of work to overcome and I got tired of pushing my friends to not want to sit around the house instead. It was a 15 minute walk to the trolley and then another 35-45 minutes by trolley to get into downtown New Orleans. Most of the time due to our feet killing us, we would hail a cab or car to drive us back to the house (average $20 for the amount of people we had). This is NOT Cynthia's fault at all. Just something I feel needs to be addressed.

We rented the Dusty Mansion for our wedding party and close friends coming in from out of town for our wedding in Abita Springs. The Dusty Mansion was perfect for our needs! The house was spacious, had tons of bathrooms, bedrooms, and a huge kitchen equipped for cooking and entertaining. The backyard and pool table/pinpong table were also great fun during our down time. The location was perfect--within walking distance to the streetcar line and a 10 minute drive to the quarter or Audubon zoo. Communication with the owner was smooth and easy. We would hands down recommend this rental to others! Thanks!

Seven of us spent 5 nights at the Mansion. It was perfect for our group because it had great common areas but allowed complete privacy too. The listing perfectly describes the home. The neighborhood was quiet and the back yard and patio were private and relaxing. The home was clean and well-maintained and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Overall, a great experience. Thank you, Cynthia!!

Last 4th of July (2010) my friends and I took our yearly trip to the Essence Music Festival and fell in love with a hidden jewel in NOLA. The pictures do not do this house justice. Everything was wonderful! The owner was very helpful and answered all questions prior to our departure. This is a great place to spend your time in New Orleans as well as feeling safe post Katrina. I will recommend the Dusty Mansion to anyone considering a trip to New Orleans.

This home was a perfect fit for our extended family to gather for a New Orleans wedding celebration. We moved in one day and hosted the out-of-towners party the next day....so easy to do with a well-equipped kitchen! With the blessing of great weather and additional assistance from Cynthia, the backyard was transformed into a beautiful setting for the festivities. Fond memories forever! Thank you Cynthia!

I couldn't say enough of how wonderful my experience of renting this house from Cynthia was. My son was married in New Orleans, and my brothers and sisters, and their kids came from Michigan, Texas Georgia and Mississippi. Everyone was amazed at how comfortable we all were. We spent every night in the beautiful backyard. And Cynthia made us feel so at home. I would love to come back!

We enjoyed a four night stay with friends in this charming home. Many guests at the graduation party commented on the very nice home and had no idea we were renting it. The up-to-date kitchen and sunporch created a lovely setting for food, chit-chat, and bonding. The house is large with multiple bedrooms giving everyone the privacy they wished. Cynthia has created an oasis and we were thrilled to enjoy it. Thank you.

Our extended family enjoyed a wonderful time in New Orleans which included New Years Eve in the French Quarter and a wedding in the Garden District. The property was in a great location with easy access to both!!! The house was perfect for our needs, so welcoming and comfortable exceeding our expectations. Cynthia was a gracious hostess and took care of everything. We'd definitely recommend this property for any large group heading to the Big Easy.
