This is the only house for rent on the Salmon River in Stanley. Launch your raft from the lawn, or wade out to wrestle with a wiley rainbow trout. Go across the highway and mountain bike, or hike the Nip 'N Tuck area.
At the end of your day, enjoy the sunset over the Sawtooths from your hot tub on the deck. Stanley is a true recreationist's paradise. We have very easy and endless access to Forest service land. Save energy to go up town and join in the "Stanley Stomp".

We first stayed at this home for our honeymoon and over the years keep coming back to the beauty and convenience of the Riverhouse. We have brought several friends with us and all enjoy the flexibility the accomodations offer for sleeping arrangements. The deck is spectacular in the sun or the snow and we hope to continue to visit the Riverhouse and Stanley. The owners are easy to work with and the house is always ready for our arrival. Thank you!!

Three couples enjoyed their comfortable stay at the Salmon River Cabin. We had plenty of room and we all loved the hot tub. We did quite a bit of relaxing and doing a lot of nothing. It was clean and all was in good repair. We highly recommend it.

As longtime visitors to Stanley, we have stayed at a number of different places, including campgrounds, hotels and cabins. The Riverhouse is hard to beat, because it combines direct access to the Salmon River with a view, if only from the deck, of the magnificent Sawtooth Mountains. During our September visit, the deck was where we spent most of the time we weren't in the mountains themselves. With the river flowing a few feet from it, lots of space and a fairly new, properly functioning spa, it's a grand space. The house itself seems a little dark, especially in the living room, but only in comparison with the great outdoors. The master bedroom is much lighter, and quite large, however. The kitchen is well outfitted, and the large lot provides for plenty of private space. If I owned a house in the Stanley Basin, I would want it to be like this one.

Everything was fine. The only "downside" is that it was a long walk or a short drive to get to Stanley, where most of our activites took place.

The cabin was the perfect location for our annual family vacation with our daughter, son-in-law, and their three children (ages 7 -13). There were plenty of beds for everyone. The cooking facilities were excellent and the hot tub was an added treat. We also appreciated the fact that pets were welcome. We have already reserved the cabin again for this summer.
