  • Awesome place for large Thanksgiving gathering

"2016 was the 3rd or 4th time my large family has gathered at Beckwith Lodge for Thanksgiving and we've always had a wonderful time! We arrived to clean, well stocked accommodations. The kitchen had ample room to prepare the holiday meal for 18 adults and 6 children. The large dining table plus a small folding table accommodated our group comfortably. While there are too many in our party to all stay at the lodge, it does provide a warm, comfortable place for us to gather and eat, play games and enjoy conversation by the warmth of the wood stove. The nearby fire pit provided a great time for the kids who roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Relaxing the in hot tub was also enjoyable. For our active family members, hiking and running trails were right out the door. Bob and Marcia have created a fantastic place in a beautiful setting for large family gatherings. Once again, thanks for another very special, memorable Thanksgiving!"

  • Sawtooth Mts in Stanley

"We rented this cabin near Redfish Lake to be able to explore the area before a family wedding . It was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and even lots of spices for cooking. We ate out at the Elk Mountain R V resort cafe. Everyone knows your name kind of place with great ribs and biscuits with gravy. Only 15 minutes or so to the lake but close to lots of trails and other lakes to explore. A great space if you want room to spread out and cook a bit instead of eating all of your meals in restaurants. ( which are few in this area)"

  • Lovely place to stay

"We had a wonderful trip to Stanley and the Sawtooths and enjoyed immensely our stay at this gorgeous VRBO. The pictures do not do the view justice - the view from the backyard is incredible, and probably the best view you can find for a rental in the area. The home itself was comfortable and perfect for a family or really anyone trying to enjoy the area. You are right in town, but still relatively isolated from other homes, and this is a convenient gateway to the area. Make sure to check out the stars at night! The only reason we didn't give it a 5 was some of the surfaces could have been a tad bit cleaner when we arrived (nothing too glaring and not a big deal or reason not to book this home). The manager was responsive and helpful and also made this a good experience. We appreciate how quickly they followed up with us when planning the trip and afterward. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and would book again if coming to the area."

  • Great base camp for the Sawtooth Wilderness

"We were looking for a place close to the Sawtooth Wilderness Area to enjoy all that it has to offer, which is quite considerable. Lodging options are rather sparse in the Stanley area, so we were quite surprised and delighted to find Todd Dixon's modern and comfortable accommodations. Very clean with all the amenities needed to rest and recuperate from our strenuous hikes (the Alice - Toxaway loop was awesome!) The beds were quite comfortable, and the kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, and outside deck gave us everything we needed. We were there during the 2016 Olympics and caught the action thanks to the satellite TV. Todd was a great host and we look forward to getting back to his place near the Sawtooths again."
