In one direction you are 15 minutes from all Ann Arbor has to offer and if you go the other way you are in Brighton. For convenience, downtown Pinckney is just 5 minutes down the road.

Why the Owner Chose Pinckney
We decided to purchase this cottage on the chain of lakes because we love living here and wanted to share that with others. We wanted to have a nice place for family to stay when they visited and decided to rent it out when they weren't using it. We have lived in the area for years and can tell you where to find anything you are looking for while on your vacation.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We find the lake very relaxing and the surrounding communities fun and friendly. We think the cottage has a real up-north feel, without the long drive. You have a wonderful view of sunsets from the sun porch. You are steps away from swimming in the lake or just sitting on the dock and dangling your feet in. If you fish, you are in luck, there are lots of great coves in the lakes that are teaming with fish.
The chain is a watershed of the Huron River and covers northern Washtenaw County and southern Livingston County in Michigan. Big Portage, Base Line, Zukey, Strawberry, Whitewood and Gallagher can all be navigated by normal watercraft, however, Ore, Little Portage, and Tamarack are only accessible by small watercraft. The lakes are connected by no-wake canals and are mainly navigated by order of Little Portage, Big Portage, Baseline, Whitewood, Gallagher, Strawberry, and Zukey. Big Portage is 680 acres (2.8 km2) with the deepest point at 84 feet (26 m), making it the largest lake on the chain. Strawberry Lake is the second largest at 257 acres (1.04 km2) with its deepest point at 64 feet

This is a long due review - i went back to AA for the graduation ceremony. Couldn't find any place in town and Ypsilanti. Luckily, came across this house. It was really great place - right on a small lake with beautiful view, fresh air, bright sun room.... all made the visit a wonderful experience! Bryce is a awesome guy and took care of everything and delivered everything as promised. Highly recommend to anyone !!!!!! Note the drive to UM central campus will take about 40 min - maybe i am driving too slow ;-) But it wasn't an issue for me.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
