  Jose was very professional and helpful, everything was there for us, and within walking distance to everything to see and do. There were stores in the same block for groceries. We had our 1-year old grandson with us and it was comfortable for all of us, quiet and easy. We were very grateful for the washing machine in the apartment, but did wish we had more towels. Would absolutely stay here again, wish it had been longer!

  The stay at Jose Antonio's apt couldn't have been better. It is ideally situated, not only for the Sagrada Familia but for walking to other major attraction (Cathedral, Picasso Museum, La Pedrera, and more). There are some great neighborhood restaurants to choose from (Alfonsina around the corner, and another lunch-only restaurant across the street from it that serves great, affordable Catalan fare). The apt itself is comfortable and clean.It quickly becomes your home. There truly are no issues that can come with apt rental...kitchen is clean, efficient and is well stocked for cooking if you desire to. The bathroom has great water pressure and lots of hot water. The bedroom are quiet and dark and the mattresses are firm. There is even a TV so you can get to know the good and bad of Spanish TV. Jose Antonia is great host: he greets you at arrival and ensures that you are well oriented in the city. My stay was over Christmas and Jose Antonio helped us with the neighborhood amenities that would be open during xmas and the day after, San Estaban Day. Overall a great experience...would highly recommend it.

  We’re a family of two who recently spent one week in Barcelona and stayed at Jose Antonio’s apartment. We found this spacious two-bedroom apartment perfect for us. Its location was ideal: very close to the Metro and within walking distance of some of Barcelona’s most important sightseeing spots—the Sagrada Familia, Plaça de Ciutadella, etc. While in a very safe, non-touristy residential neighborhood, the area has plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets. We found that the apartment was modern and spotless. Everything worked perfectly, including the thermostat-controlled central heat. The mattresses were firm and very comfortable. We arrived on Christmas Day and upon our arrival we met Jose Antonio who had taken time out of his Holiday celebration to welcome us. He took us up to the apartment where he explained how everything worked. He also sat down with us with a map of the city and showed us where to find everything—from the nearest Metro stops to the main sightseeing spots. He also told us we could call him in case we needed anything (we didn’t) We visited Barcelona during the holidays and loved the city. The weather in December was sunny and never too cold. We walked all over the city and loved the museums, restaurants, stores, the magnificent architecture and most particularly the people. Our week in Barcelona was memorable in large part because we stayed in such a convenient and comfortable location. We highly recommend this apartment.

At the moment you ask me the day you leave about the white flowers on the city i dindt know what you mean but later i thought that flowers at winter it is just only the ciclamen wich is very tipical at that time on the gardens on the city. Any time you want to comeback to Barcelona, you know that you will be alwasy wellcome. Thanks again and say hi to your son.

  Our family stayed in Jose Antonio's apartment in Carrer Roger de Flor for four nights in October at the end of our 6 week trip to Europe. There was plenty of room for the four of us. The apartment is very comfortable. It's bright, airy, clean and in an interesting building. The location is fantastic. It is very close to two metro stations and within an easy walk of the Sagrada Familia and the Placa de Catalunya. There are nice cafes, bars and restaurants very close by, as well as shops and a supermarket. (we recommend lunch or dinner at Portoles Restaurant on the corner, and coffee or snacks at the Bar Tastar across the road). The neighbourhood was very safe, with very few tourists and lots of interesting insights into Barcelona life to be had. Jose Antonio was friendly, helpful and flexible. He met us on arrival and showed us how everything worked (unlike most other apartments we stayed where we struggled to figure out how to use the washer and turn on the stove). He also explained the neighbourhood and recommended shops and places to go. We were very grateful that he allowed us to check out late on our last day as our flight didn't leave till late afternoon and by then we had accumulated a lot of baggage (there are amazing shops in Barcelona - bring a spare bag). Our family (me, my husband and two girls aged 8 and 10) really enjoyed catching the funicular and cable car up to the fort at Montjuic, catching the cable car across the bay from Barceloneta, swimming at the beach, visitng the Sagrada Famila (book ahead online if you can as the queues are very long), visiting Parc Guell, taste testing at the Bouqueria Market and exploring neighbourhoods including Poble Sec, the Barrio Gotic, Barceloneta and El Born. It took a while to get our heads around where we could get food at times when our kids were hungry but once we figured it out we had some great meals and lots of tasty tapas. Our only regret is that we didn't have longer to spend in Barcelona.

  Jose Rodriguez was gracious in his welcome and immediately helpful. The apartment was exactly as represented and more! The apartment was spotless and all appliances worked beautifully. It was so helpful to have some basic staples in the kitchen. We had a number of grocery stores and fruit markets to chose from when buying food for breakfast and some dinners. Nice to have that option since we didn't always want to be eating dinner at 8:30 or 9 PM. The neighborhood was well located, within a few of blocks of two Metro stations and very safe. Our host was very organized regarding paperwork and also made several excellent suggestions as to places to eat, shop, use the internet etc. in our neighborhood. He took the time to see that we were comfortably settled and welcomed calls if we had any problems or questions (which we didn't). I would highly recommend this apartment.

  Our trip to Barcelona was fantastic. Our stay in this sunny bright apartment was great. It was perfect for our family. The apartment is in a friendly quiet neighborhood, you can reach the metro system by foot. It took us about 10 minutes to get there. The apartment has everything you need, the grocery store is close by as well as the internet cafe. We were not able to jump on the WIFI in the apartment. We enjoyed walking around the local neighborhood and discover cafes to eat at. With the metro system you can reach all the tourist attractions. The Familia Sagrada is close by that you can easily walk there. The apartment owner Jose was great from the moment we contacted him. He was waiting there for us when we arrived with the keys and any information we needed. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this to my family and friends. We hope to one day soon visit Barcelona again and we would not hesitate to stay in one of Jose's apartment again. It was a great experience. Thank you!

  We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 grown children) from Canada. We stayed in Jose's apartment for 3 days in June 2012. Barcelona is a fantastic city full of wonderful architecture, friendly people,and great food. The apartment suited us perfectly. Its central location made it easy for us to get around. We were able to do a lot of walking and also utilized the subway and buses. At the end of a long day of sightseeing it was great to come back for a nap in the cool air-conditioned rooms before heading out for a late dinner. There are several restaurants nearby as well as a great bakery and market. Having the kitchen and laundry facilities in the apartment were handy too. Thanks very much to Jose for helping to make our visit to Barcelona memorable!

  We are a family of four (2 adults 2 teenagers) from Houston, Texas. Jose's apartments caught my attention on VRBO because of the many, wonderful comments he has received. He is the owner of 5 apartments in this complex. This was only my second time using VRBO, so I must admit I was very nervous (especially booking a location internationally), BUT everything turned out GREAT!!! Jose is an excellent corresponder and answered all of my questions quickly. He is also very professional and greeted us when we arrived by taxi. I was nervous because he doesn't accept credit cards, but we were able to work out something where I was able to use PayPal (I was willing to pay more to cover the commission fees). We enjoyed staying at his apartment because it allowed us to experience the "local flavor" of the city. Barcelona is absolutely beautiful, and his apartment is located in a safe, and central neighborhood, close to several restaurants and the metro. We bought a "Barcelona Card" card at the airport which allowed us unlimited use of the metro for the days we purchased. This apartment was clean and we appreciated being able to use a refrigerator, some dishes/silverware, washer, hair dryer and AC. His listing and photos are accurate. Jose is very responsive. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Barcelona. We used the Barcelona Card so we were able to cover alot of ground in 3 days. We visited La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, Placa de Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, Basilica de la Sagrada Familia (pre-purchased tickets online to bypass the line), Camp Nou, Park Guell, Casa Museu Gaudi, Arc de Triomf, Museu de la Xocolata, Museu Picasso, Placa del Rei, La Rambla, Mirador de Colom, Funicular de Montjuic, Par de Montjuic, Museu Olimpic, Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, Magic Fountains and Port Vell....some of the places we ate were: Portoles and Alfonsina (near apartment), Cafe Zurich (yummy hot chocolate with whipped cream ;-), Dinner at Bracafe, sandwiches (jamon serrano) at Brunels, and dinner at Maians restaurant in Port Vell for paella and sangria. We will have memories of a lifetime! Thank you Jose!!!

  My family and I stayed at this property for 9 days and it was absolute heaven! Jose is a gem of a man. He was reliable and kind from our first correspondence to the minute we left Barcelona. This was our first rental of this kind and we were so pleased with how things turned out. The location of this apartment is fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere and at times used the Metro. It is a very convenient location and extremely safe. We walked home late at night with our children and never had to worry. The restaurant across the street, Per Tastare, is fabulous! Definitely eat there. The food is delicious and the owner is so kind and friendly. There are several markets near by and a delicious pastry shop on the corner. You will have everything you need here. I will definitely rent one of Jose's apartments again if and when I ever get to return to the beautiful city of Barcelona.

  We stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks and wish we could have stayed even longer. Perfect in every way. Thanks Jose for making our visit to Barcelona feel like home-from-home with your gracious welcome and your excellent recommendations. The apartment was very comfortable and the Barcelona-public-wi-fi was a nice touch - it worked very well for us. The location of the apartment and its access to metro, restaurants, and sights, made for a wonderful visit. We really had a great time and look forward to returning some day. Thanks again - it was a true pleasure meeting you and we hope our paths cross again. Look us up if you come out the the States. :-)
