Seashell Beach Cottage is light and bright (no dark walls lots of window) with a friendly Seashell theme throughout. This is our personal second home away from home. Casual, comfortable and affordable best describe our newly constructed vacation home (2009) at the Northern border of Pacific Beach, Washington.
We love dogs and have made this a dog friendly home. Dogs love the beach and we are the closest vacation rental home to the beach entrance.
Our sweet beach cottage is about 1360 square feet, but we have set it up to sleep a maximum of 8 adults (4 couples) and 2 children or 2 couples and 8 children. Two private bedrooms with queen beds, 1 sofa bed in the living room and the loft bedroom is dormitory sty1e with one full bed and 2 twin beds. Seashell Beach Cottage is also perfect for 1-2 couples and up to 2-3 dogs.(subject to approval*)
Situated at the entrance to the local beach access, this home is conveniently located for easy access by our guests. If you are searching for a dog friendly home that is clean, affordable, new construction, not in a "development" and a stones throw from the beach - we ARE the right place.
Although not an "ocean view" home, we are high bank and can get a slight glimpse of the mighty Pacific from the upstairs master suite - just enough to know where you are. The sound of the surf can be heard as it gently lulls you to sleep.
Seashell Beach cottage is situated on a nice level lot, bordered by trees on the west side and fenced on the north and south sides making it perfect for a picnic on the back patio or pitching a small dome tent for the kids to "camp out" in if they want. This home is both kid friendly and dog friendly.
We offer use of our gas grill and outdoor firepit in the summer months. Perfect for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs.
Our Beach Cottage can accomodate parking for several vehicles and could allow a boat to be parked if needed. *Call or email us for our current multiple day special"

Why the Owner Chose Pacific Beach
The Beach is fantastic, the town of Pacific Beach is eclectic. We love the personality of it. Thie is a great place to get together, spend some time bonding and get away from the hustle of daily life. Sometimes in life "Less is More". We have found that our guests and friends value the importance of spending quality time togeether in a relaxing place.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The benefits of this home are the relaxing surroundings of the trees and being next to the Pacific Beach access. We are walking distance to the naval base retreat which offers public dining, a great gift shop, movie theater and bowling alley. Our home was built by a local builder who knows how to create a true beach house with an efficient floor plan and quality materials. We welcome well behaved dogs with well trained owners. We love, train and own dogs ourselves, so we appreciate being able to take them with us. A nice walk down a newly paved road bordered by trees, is both refreshing and healthy as you reach the Sandy Beach. This is a place to leave your cell phone and laptop behind. We have two TV's with DVD player, 1 VCR..lots of books, games and a DVD movie library for your enjoyment. Read, relax, rest and bond with family and friends - thats what we're about.
For a local place to get a good breakfast. Pool tables, pull tabs, bar with karaoke at night. Best Fish n Chips. Sports bar with TV's everywhere.

My husband Rich and I have been coming to the North Washington Coast for over 15 years. After being steadfast campers in the mountains, we had a change of heart after being bitten by mosquitoes and hiking up hot rocky mountains. Since heading to the coast 15 years ago, we have stayed in just about every rental, motel, and hotel up the coast. From this knowledge, we have taken the good and the bad and have shaped several vacation homes in the area from ideas of guests and our own experiences and what we enjoy when getting away. When we rented, we always wanted a nice inexpensive get away to travel to with our dogs, but never got it as dogs were not welcome in the "nicer" places. We wanted to fill the gap and thus have created Seashell Beach Cottage for a more affordable get away with less of the high-end amenities, but all the cleanliness,comfort and proximity to the beach. We are a NON SMOKING property.
