This chalet was exactly as described --- beautiful. We were not disappointed --- sometimes chalets are over-rated, but I can say this one lived up to its description and to its photos. It was tastefully decorated, well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The owner was delightful, always available and very helpful. I would definitely rent this chalet again next year and recommend it to my friends. Don't miss the chance to enjoy this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is our first night here and our family has already fallen in love with this property. Christine is so wonderful to work with. 5 minutes after arriving my daughter asked if we could make this an annual family vacation. There are 6 adults and 5 grandchildren and everyone is in love with this home! Thank you Chirstine for offering your beautiful home to our family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just returned from a week at Wynstone Lodge. What a great home! We had a party of 6 adults and a 3 year old. It was a true warm & welcoming family home. We were able to spread out and enjoy quiet and privacy but also gather to cook, play games and hang out in the hot tub. The beds were the most comfortable ones that I have ever slept in away from home. Each bedroom had it's own private bathroom too!!! There were laundry facilities which is always a priority to me when traveling with so many. The owner Chris responded to any questions immediately and did everything to make our stay wonderful!! If you are looking for a home in the Smokies where a lot of adults can gather then this is the one!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had the best experience here. The view is great, the beds are soooooo comfortable, the place was impeccable. Extremely clean with every amenity. There was nothing lacking in the kitchen, the bathrooms were huge and well appointed. The owner is very accomodating, friendly, and truely wants your stay to be enjoyable. We come to the mountains several times a year and we would DEFINETLY come back here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It's wonderful reviews like this one that make all our efforts worthwhile. We try very hard to exceed expectations, not only in the condition of our home, but in the attention we provide to our guests. It's great to know our guests appreciate the effort. We try very hard to make our home more special than just the typical rental home. Thank you and we're looking forward to your next visit. Chris and Ralph

We celebrated my mother's 50th birthday at the Lodge. We had a packed house but there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out! We especially enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and the amazing views. We loved the big kitchen/dining room table where we ate most of our meals. Chris was so sweet to call and check on us to make sure we had everything we need. We will definitely stay again in the future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: My husband and I live in NYS. He owns and operates a collision repair shop with our sons. We bought our first home on Ski Mtn in 1993 after taking a ride up the mountain with his brother and wife who live about 1 1/2 hrs. from Gatlinburg We sold that home and and bought a cabin in 1996. Then in 2003, I found out I had lung cancer so we sold the home. We thought we would never go back again. I was lucky. I made it past the 5 year mark and continue to have good check ups.
Why the Owner Chose Chalet Village:
In 2011 we decided we would love to buy another home there. We realized how much we missed those mountains.
When we went down, we stayed at Wynstone while we looked at other homes. We loved everything about Wynstone, the high ceilings, the bedrooms with the baths inside them and the fact that there was a yard. We could walk all around the house. We couldn't do that at either of the other homes we had owned there. Plus, the view and the location were both wonderful. Another plus for us was the nice driveway. Easy in and out. Plus plenty of room to turn around.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
To us the benefits of this home are many. We love everything. The home itself, the location. Just a 10 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the park and Ober Gatlinburg. The beautiful mountain views and the surprise visits from a bear now and then if we're lucky.
Both my husband and I enjoy going down every chance we get. Plus the home is large enough for us to invite friends and family.
It is just so peaceful there. A place where we can unwind and totally relax.
