As one of our guests you can enjoy the Royalty Experience that only the newly appointed Dynasty Lofts has to offer. There are three completely different spaces to enjoy at this property depending on what you want your travel experience to be. This loft suite is approximately 1250 square feet of the best amenities available while being located seconds walk from the worlds famous Gaslamp Quarter, moments walk to the San Diego Convention Center, the Ralphs Grocery Store, Horton Plaza Shopping Center or the new Padres Baseball Stadium. The unit is a two bedroom two bathroom suite that can sleep up to 6+ people. Each bedroom one bathroom units both with their own private entrances. The space has a stylish modern N.Y. feel with hardwood floors; diamond plate accents one queen bed, one full size bed, one sleeper sofa and one lounge sleeper that makes a comfortable single bed.. I consider this one of the best space for a gathering of great friends or work colleagues coming to enjoy everything that San Diego Downtown has to offer. The unit sits at street level in a semi-residential neighborhood which makes it the greatest view of beautiful people, walking to the nightlife of the Gaslamp. A few of the amenities includes: forced heating and air conditioning, 42” Plasma TV, free wired internet. If you have an Apple “I” product such as IPod, ITouch, IPhone feel free to play it on the flat screen with our provided AV cables. We encourage you to “Go Green” and take one of our provided bicycles to The Children’s Museum, Sea Port Village, The Famous San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, The San Diego Bay, or the USS Midway. If your stay includes Sunday feel free to enjoy the stroll through the Farmers Market that is just around the corner on 3rd and Island. Unfortunately the unit has been rented for Comic Con. San Diego marked our 5th annual girls trip. 4 GIRLS and 4 NIGHTS in San Diego! This loft was meant for us. The kitchen allowed for us to have our breakfast as a group every morning, the bathrooms were large and had storage, the living room allowed for the girl time in the evenings and the beds were perfect for sleeping. We were able to walk all over the GasLamp Quarter every evening for nightlife and dinner! You are in the middle of it all! Seapoint Village is within walking distance. The drive to the San Diego Zoo is about 15 minutes. The drive to the San Diego Safari Park is about 30 minutes. You are close to the airport. La Jolla beach is a hop skip and a jump away. Little Italy and the Farmers Market is no longer than 15 minutes away. Ira made things so easy and inviting for us. We left there with a smile on our face and we cannot wait until we can return. PS- DO NOT GET RID OF THE SIGN! (only thing I can think of to improve is to set the water heater at a hotter level, but that could just be the Central Oregon in us and the fact that we all like 100% shower water!)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

First off I must say that the owner Ira was very accomadating with the dates and change of Lofts at the beginning of our stay. However when we arrived it certainly was not the way it looked in the Virtual Tour on the VRBO website. We stayed in the Front Prato Loft from the 13th Feb to the 17th, when we moved in we found that 50% of the light bulbs were out, 3 drawers in the 6 drawer chest of drawers were broken and could not be used. There is no closets in the 2nd bedroom, we had to hang clothes that we were wearing to a wedding on the shower curtain rail, the shower curtain liner had holes in it at the bottom when you took a shower the water ran onto the slate floor. when we came in the front door there is a blind above the door that was hanging off at one corner, there are drapes on the front door that don't fit. We found 5 bath towels, 2 hand towels and no facecloths. that was 1 bath towel each for 5 people for 4 days. I phoned Jacques (the manager) and he said that is the normal amount of towels we supply to our clients. That was not what we were used to having rented VRBO properties in AZ. The Prato Loft needs updating and freshening up and was certainly not comparable to the other properties we have rented. On the 17th Feb we moved to the Downstairs Loft until the 20th Feb. When we went in there was 12 strip lighting in the Living Room and only 3 were working and one of them was blinking and ready to go out. In the bedroom with the queen size bed there was an old chest 2 of the handles were broken, in the Kitchen the pots & pans were old and the 1st one I picked up was dirty in fact there were 2 pots and the rest were fry pans. The Fridge had been sanded down and painted with Silver coloured paint to look like Stainless Steel. Th blind covering the Front Door had holes in it. The only good thing I can say about these properties is the great location. Unfortunately these properties did not meet the standards that we are used to and this was the consensus of everybody in our party. It was certainly not worth the money we paid for the week and we would not stay here again.Owner response: Of course I feel horrible that this unit did not meet the standard of this guest. If you read all of the other prior guest’s comments posted before these renters most everyone said that the unit is just as it was advertised on the website. In my defense, the guest fails to mention that when they requested additional towels that Jacque personally delivered them, I had over ten emails describing the units prior to their arrival (strength and weaknesses), and that the maintenance / cleaning company returned 5 international long distance calls to them to assist and take care of their needs. At some point there is only so much that we can do. As always, I recommend that you read the more than 19 comments giving a 4 or 5 star rating.

This condo is extremely well located in the middle of everything. We were there for a convention and the location put us right inbetween the restaurants, hotels (for meetings) and the convention center. The interior looks exactly like the photos. The beds were comfortable and there was enough room for all three of us to not feel like we were stepping on each other. Dealing with Ira was easy and he made himself available for any questions. Definately would stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I recently just rented the unit for a week long conference with 5 other friends. The unit was the perfect fit for us and I would not have wanted to stay anyplace else. It was clean, modern, accessable, and in the perfect location to attend a conference at the convention center. Well known nightlife and sightseeing destinations are located within easy walking distance. This unit has everything the young professional is looking for. As somebody who has never rented a vacation unit before, I was unsure of the entire process. The owner of this unit is the ideal rental owner. He is straightforward, personable, and understanding of the vacation rental process. I will most definitely be renting from him if I am ever in the area again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for three nights over the holidays & loved it! The location is fantastic - we walked just a couple blocks to the Gaslamp restaurants and bars. The condo itself is urban-chic. It is just as described on the website. We loved the entrance that looks like you're entering dry cleaners - we called it our "speakeasy" entrance! Ira (owner/manager) was very easy to work with & answered my many questions quickly and thoroughly. We will definitely rent one of the three properties here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My friends and I stayed here over the New Year. It was a great spot to hang out before and after the festivities. It's an incredible location for all of San Diego. Everything is walkable and to have free parking is such a luxery in the heart of San Diego. There are restaurants, bars and coffee shops spitting distance from the apartment. The water/marina is a 5 minute walk away. In fact most things are a 5 minute walk away or less! It is everything the description says it is and the photos are accurate. However there are a few discrepancies. It will sleep 6 comfortably but the lay out is a little unconventional. The bedrooms are separated from the main living area but you do have to pass through one bedroom to get to the other and the door that can separate the two does not shut and cannot be locked. We had to prop it shut with a pair of shoes!! Not ideal but we made it work. There is a separate/private entrance into one of the bedrooms as described but there was no practical way to use it. No key etc. Both bathrooms are modern and spacious with plenty of towels etc. It was warm and the central air was easy to control. It had been cleaned and sanitized before we arrived but it definitely could use a deep clean. All the bedding was missed matched so the presentation could have been better. There are some very high end touches like inset lighting (when it works!), wall art work, bathroom tiles, appliances and furniture so things like shoddy bedding really lets the look of the place down. There were several light bulbs out and the ipod/iphone etc hook up was missing along with the stereo system. Good thing we brought our own!! I did call the owner to make him aware of these small issues. He picked up straight away and was very responsive and happy to have the information so he could help and get things fixed ASAP. He has been very easy to deal with from booking to check out. I wouldn't stay here for more than a few nights so it's perfect for a long weekend get away or a small group for some fun nights out where you can literally stumble home. I would go back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was a quite large, modern looking unit with large bathrooms. The location in the Gaslamp district was superb and is only several minutes from the convention center and transit. A direct bus route from the airport drops you off only a few blocks from the front door. The downside to this rental is that it was a converted dry cleaner's store and retained very commercial front doors that worked poorly. Moreover, it could have been cleaner, and a few minor items needed maintenance (nothing crucial, merely annoying). Oh, the lighting attempts to be "modern," but is just extremely poor. Overall, though a very nice location with ample space.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for the constructive criticism. All future guests should know that the units are cleaned and sanitized by a professional cleaning service after every use. In the move-in package it lists a contact number for cleaning and minor repairs if the unit is not up to your standards.

This is a great urban condo that is a converted store front. I could see the convention center from the front door. This was awesome given that I was here for a conference. Close to restaurants and shopping as well. There are a lot of homeless peolple but I never felt unsafe. The owner is absolutely great both before and during my stay. I would stay here again. Check out trolley schedule and go to the little towns. We went to Old Town, a cute mexican like place. Also, the wine tours are great fun. We went to la joll, near Ranch Bernardo.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The positives: the location to the convention centre is ideal and the condo is very centrally located to groceries and transportation. The negatives: 1.) the dry cleaning sign on the building has never been taken down 2. ) very surface level & sloppy cleaning - debris remains under the beds, extra sheets were wadded up into a ball and shoved into the wardrobe, bleach stains are on the towels 3.)no information is in the condo related to emergency contact numbers, check out times, operating the TV etc.4.) The lock for the main door was broken when we arrived which meant we were locked in and couldn't exit through the door. We discovered a back storage/service door and had to use that to exit. We immediately notified the owner, however, it then took 4 days before a locksmith came to fix the lock. 5.) there are no curtains on the ceiling level windows in the 2nd bedroom so the customers at the hotel across the street are able to see directly into this romm. I would not stay in ths condo again irregardless of the prime location.Owner response: In 3.5 years I had to have one guest that went out of their way to clearly misstate the facts. Unfortunately, I am constrained by VRBO to a 2500 word response. As a result, I am unable to provide my detailed rental agreement and Move-In Information package to support my response. However, I hope you will indulge me when I say it provides detailed language regarding the signage on the building, how to contact the cleaning company if the unit is not up to your standards, how to contact myself or management if there is an issue, how the TV operates, and the very important check-in/check-out times. That said, I will provide a direct response regarding the lock, the window and maintenance In her comment she mentioned that there were no emergency contacts and yet she contacted me immediately. When I was made aware of the “lock issue”, I informed the guests of the location of the rear entry and indicated they could utilize it until the repair was taken care of. The Unit is only 1200 square feet and you do not need to search very hard for the back door. This unit is cleaned after every guest vacates, I am sure the cleaning crew would have notified me if they were unable to get out of the unit. I do not doubt that the lock broke due to use; however things will break and malfunction. I had a maintenance man at the unit within two hours of being notified and when he could not fix it he contacted the locksmith. The locksmith came the same day, found that a custom part broke and another had to be ordered. I had the part sent over-night and it was installed the next day. My understanding from the locksmith is that the door was repaired within 48 hours. I realize it may have been a slight inconvenience to use the back door. 5.) there are no curtains on the ceiling level windows in the 2nd bedroom. Response: The window in the second bedroom has three panes of glass causing a mirrored effect to the outside. As a result, no one can see in but the room has the benefit of nice outside light. That said, there was a notice on the wall in the room notifying the guest of this fact. I want my guests to feel at home when they are guests. I work very hard to accommodate my guests and take care of any issues that they may have. I hope it is apparent by the several other positive reviews that I am someone who takes great pride in my units and cares about their guests.

My Husband and I stayed in the Front Prato unit for our wedding/honeymoon and we could not have asked for more! It was such a fun place and the design of the unit was done really well. The location of the property was perfect, the Gaslamp District was amazing and Seaport Village was an easy walk away! Ira was incredibly accommodating and we will definitely be staying at this property next time we are in San Diego!Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
