Expensive but worth it. We are a family with two tall teen boys who don't like to share beds. This 2BR/2BA condo was great! We put the comfortable double blow-up mattress in the dining area and had unencumbered access to the den and patio. Oh, the view! The photos don't do it justice. The boys were amazed at the gorgeous view from the patio (and from all the windows). The apartment is very quiet considering you're in a city - you still hear sirens and barking dogs, but that's to be expected. The master King bed is SO comfortable. Andrew was very helpful setting up our rental and the property was clean and well-maintained. Having a kitchen was terrific as we were able to get delivery of Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza and pick up wine/sodas/snacks around the corner at a local shop. Metro (Chicago Brown) was very close and near there is Fabcakes (try the pepper fig latte!) and further down that street is Meli (for amazing breakfast). You can walk about 1 mile to the Miracle Mile/Millenium Park, etc or take the metro easily. We walked or cabbed to everything (about $15 max for most places). It felt safe to walk around in a group. Free parking space is terrific, but we didn't have a car. The condo amenities are fanastic - definitely try the waterfall in the hot tub - so nice after a long day of walking - there's a switch on the wall to turn it on and also the jets (separate switch). We reserved the theater room (which is really cool) but the guard didn't know how to work the TV and we couldn't get it on. Great idea though. The boys LOVED the free hot cocoa, cookies and muffins in the internet cafe. I loved the coffee and the ability to print stuff (boarding passes, tickets, etc). They also serve wine and cheese on selected nights. We didn't use the washer/dryer but it's nice to have it inside the condo. The only downside was the cost (which was probably slightly more than two mediocre hotel rooms), and lack of shampoo (which we picked up from CVS - I missed the info in the materials that it was not provided - with carry-on liquid restrictions, we rarely bring a lot of toiletries). Really enjoyed our stay and if we're even in Chicago, we'll be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

I could not be happier with our stay in Chicago at this apartment in the River North. Walkable to most sights, train stops, and fantastic eating and dining, the spacious apartment was perfect for our group of 4 adults in our 30s, two couples. Perfect distance from the Mile and in a quiet, eclectic neighborhood. The apartment was impeccable, amenities fantastic - pool was great, we used the massage room on site, everything was clean and safe, the doormen and staff welcome and accommodating, and the balcony view was simply amazing. The photos above are great, but they don't quite prepare you for how cool the place is, and how great the view is. Best of all, Andrew was a great resource for all our questions and needs, he's responsive, helpful, and takes great care of his guests. We'll plan to return sometime in the future. I highly recommend the property and encourage you to enjoy Chicago!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Location is perfect. Great neighborhood. Close enough (walking distance) to the heart of downtown but far enough that you don't have major traffic (for a big city). Andrew was great. He answered about 30 questions leading up to our stay. The view off the balcony is exceptional. We used the home theater located in the building twice. My kids loved that. The doormen are exceptional. Made us feel like residents in the building. The gym had plenty of equipment for us to use. The hot tub area is a must.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

We absolutely loved our stay. Condo was a great fit for the family...2 adults, 3 kids and a teenager. It was very easy to get around whether the doorman called a taxi or we walked to the Brown line. We felt very safe and it was a great location. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in town. Andrew was very quick to respond to any questions I had.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

Great place for a family of 6 adults. Modern look and amenities. Makes the whole experience in a great city memorable. There were no flaws and it is excellent value for money. The host was perfect with the whole process and I have absolutely no complaints. My parents (travelling from India) and sister/brother in law from California were simply amazed at this option and enjoyed every bit. The fact that it is furnished alongwith and stocked just like a hotel, allowed for us to carry minimum items with us. We used the stove/fridge and all the kitchen facilities, that saved some time and money for us. We had our own car so it was very convenient to drive down where we wanted as we were given 1 parking spot. That is priceless in Chicago. Overall very very memorable experience.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing.

The best experience I have had in Chicago. My family travels to Chicago approximately once per month for business. This time we decided to take 2 teenagers with us and was looking for more than a hotel room. After staying in this condo, I will never return to a hotel in Chicago. The cost for the rental was beyond worth it with friendly 24/7 doormen, great secure parking, a wonderful spa (that we went to every night after walking all day seeing the sites which were all very close), an amazing view of the John Hancock building from a corner balcony, great restaurants that deliver or are a short walk away (especially the Erie Cafe across the street next to Erie Park on the Chicago River...which can also be seen from the balcony), and peace and quiet in the city. It also had things to keep the teenagers entertained- flat screen TVs in each room w/ the latest technology, everything you would need in a kitchen to keep a constant supply of food for a teenage boy, a washer and dryer so you don't have to bring an entire wardrobe, etc. The owner was extremely helpful from the beginning of the rental process to following up with us after our stay (after the teenage boy left his cell phone in the condo he mailed it to us). I have rented condos from vrbo since it inception. We rent 5 to 6 condos per year around the US, some long term and some short term, and almost all vrbo experiences have been flawless, but this one was exceptional. Thanks again Andrew and we will see you again soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Exactly as pictured. Incredible view - my 12 year old spent hours on the balcony taking in the Chicago skyline. Two beds plus the air mattress and couch meant everyone got a good night sleep. I was a little nervous about feeling like an intruder in a building with doormen, but they could not have been nicer. They made sure we knew about the Internet Cafe cookies, the spa (yes, kids really were welcome), and the movie room, which unfortunately was out of commission the whole time we were there but apparently that is rare - just our dumb luck. Parking garage was attached for easy access. We miss it already! Would definitely stay here again. Andrew was great to work with.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.

We had to go to a wedding on Saturday and my family decided at the last minute that they all wanted to go. This meant finding 2 hotel rooms for our group of 5 in two days. But that was too expensive, so I checked VRBO and I submitted 4 requests to various rental properties for a 2BR 2B. Only Andrew responded and he was so wonderful to accommodate my last minute request! Not only did he respond quickly to my inquiries, he also made the reservation process so easy. Also, the property is exactly as described and pictured. It is SUCH a beautiful condo! It was clean and there were all the amenities like a hotel, e.g., shampoo, soap, towels, linens. Finally, it should be noted that the doormen are so kind and helpful! This was the best stay I had in Chicago and this property is truly worth renting when you're in Chicago.Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

Central location allowed us to walk everywhere. Views from the wrap-around balcony are stunning. This clean, beautifully appointed, luxury apartment made our stay in Chicago that much more special. Included parking was also a definite plus. Premises were a little tight with three kids (each needing their own bed) but the apartment was so nice nobody minded. Doormen were especially friendly.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+.
