Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2004

We purchased Curley Bear Condo in 2004 after one summer vacation in this "last greatest place". We chose Meadow Village because of its charm: the meadow setting is very special; it's somehow peaceful... one senses a need to slow down and enjoy the air and the ambiance of a small "village".

Why the Owner Chose Meadow Village

The Meadows has much more to offer with access to a variety of (Mexican, Chinese, Thai, wraps, deli's, American) great restaurants, two grocery stores, liquor store, retail shops, ski shops, post office and a great bakery. In winter the 80 kM ski trails are only steps away and in summer the pro shop of the Big Sky golf course is only a drive and and short chip down the dead end street.
We especially enjoy bicycling to a favorite restaurant or to Ousel Falls, them coming home at dusk. On the other hand, there's nothing like supper on the south facing deck and "keeping the dusk". After skiing we can't wait to settle in with a crackling fire and a casserole in the oven. We may be biased, but we love this place!

The Unique Benefits of this Condo

As they say: “It’s all about the location.” From Curley Bear Condo you can walk or bike the entire meadow area. It’s simply a great spot with easy access to both the Gallatin Canyon or Lone Peak. In the summer we enjoy a grilled dinner on the south facing deck.

Wonderful Retreat in Beautiful Big Sky!

My husband and I were here in July for a mountain lodge wedding. First time in Montana. We absolutely loved the condo. It was very comfortable, quiet, clean and in a great location. The King bed was divine and sleeping was great. We each had our own bathrooms downstairs, and one up. The new washer/dryer was a plus when traveling. The kitchen is small but had everything you could need. We had cable tv and Wifi. Bedrooms were downstairs, but very quiet at night and so comfortable. There are a set of stairs coming into the condo, and a split entry going up or down. Not a problem for us, but you should be aware. Just loved being here for a week and would have liked to stay longer. Would defintely rent this one again in Big Sky. Close to 2 separate small shopping centers with shops and restaurants. The golf course is very close. Great neighborhood for walks. Beautiful views. About 50 minutes to Yellowstone thru the beautiful Gallatin Canyon. Great area here and not overrun with tourists yet. The owner was super helpful with advice, shopping, etc. and kept in touch by email. We had dinner at "Buck's T4" which was great. A fun lunch at "The Corral", and discovered wonderful treats at the "Blue ?" Bakery. Thanks Rex, for a wonderful stay in Big Sky. Loved your place and hope to come back!!

We spent five days at Curley Bear Condo last February with the four of us happy as clams. Not a speck of dust, casual/comfortable, bright, very nice. The king bed in the master has its own bath as does the guest room (twin beds.) The kitchen is small but worked out fine for us...good utensils and every thing you'd need for preparing meals. We really loved the rock fireplace! The kids toasted a lot of marshmellows, hot dogs, etc. They thought it was all great fun. Staying in the Meadow is really handy for shopping, dining out, etc. My husband enjoyed his early a.m. cross-country skiing (just out the door) and the resident moose and calf sitings. We'll be back next year for more fantastic skiing.

We stayed for a week and wish we could stay longer. The location was great as it was very quiet and a short drive to the wide open slopes at Big Sky. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a long day at the mountain. Snowmobiling at Yellowstone was a great day off the slopes. We saw loads of bison, a couple of eagles and a wolf. Lastly, the condo was well maintained and clean. The kitchen was a bit small, but nothing you can't work around. Thanks for a great time.
