About Jim Albano

We live in Billings, Montana and have been enjoying skiing with our family and friends at Big Sky for years. We are avid adventure seekers and excited to share our vacation home and knowledge of the area with you! You could on a daily basis find us either downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, canoeing, fishing, golfing or enjoying a microbrew on the deck with the majestic view.

Jim Albano purchased this condo in 2015

Why Jim Albano chose Big Sky Meadow Village

We fell in love with this property because of the magnificent view of Lone Peak! The back deck facing the golf course is very private from the adjacent condos within the complex while remaining centrally located. The garage is spacious enough for a vehicle plus all of our recreation equipment.

What makes this condo unique

Fireplace, washer/dryer, garage, ski/snowboard tuning bench, back deck on golf course, front deck, grill, view of mountains.

Perfect Base for Family Trip to Big Sky

  • 5 of 5

Million Dollar View was a fantastic place to stay in Big Sky. Recently took my daughter on our first visit to Montana, which included Big Sky skiing and day trips to Yellowstone, Bozeman and Paradise Valley. So much to do - wish we had more time and will be returning! The condo is easy to find and very conveniently located - one minute off Lone Mountain Road (main road through Big Sky), only a mile to Big Sky Town Center (restaurants, shopping, markets), and 8 miles to Big Sky Resort. We were there for spring skiing - roads to town and resort were easily passable in snowy conditions - 12-15 minute drive to the resort. Condo is very spacious, clean and comfortable with all amenities. While only my daughter and I went on this trip, the condo would be comfortable for our entire family of four (or more). The owners were excellent hosts and made the rental logistics easy and the visit more pleasant with helpful local suggestions and top notch hospitality.

Beautiful view, beautiful condo, great location

  • 5 of 5

I've been looking forward to writing this review for months and months. We first booked this property about a year ago, looking forward to a spring break trip from TX. Unfortunately, weeks out from the trip, my husband broke his knee skiing elsewhere and was unable to travel. The owners could not have been more accommodating. They allowed us to move our trip to the first week of January with no penalty and have been just thoroughly lovely to interact with from start to finish.

Our trip itself was fantastic. The condo is about 15 minutes from the Big Sky Resort, so an easy drive in for skiing. The Resort is fine, but it doesn't have many restaurants and just one tiny in-lodge grocery store. The town of Big Sky has much more to offer from the standpoint of dining and shopping, so it made for easy evenings to be staying in town instead of on the mountain.

The condo is incredibly well-equipped. The kitchen had everything you might need, and even GOOD KNIVES. My kids laughed at me when I said that was a big deal...but if you stay in vacation rentals often and like to cook, I'm sure you know what I mean. Real knives are a huge bonus.

We traveled with friends who stayed nearby, and we were "home base" for the week because the kitchen is ample and airy and there is a dining room table for 8 people as well as a large and comfortable living room. The quality of everything from towels/linens to the sofas to the kitchen area was first rate. And the 2nd bedroom has 2 beds - a queen or double (not sure which) and a twin. That made a big difference getting our daughters to bed at night!

The view, as the listing suggests, can't be beat. You have a straight on view of Lone Mountain out the living room window - so good that there were mornings when it was a bit tough to get the kids off the couch and out the door!

One thing to note - if you are a big hot tub fan, the hot tub is in walking distance, but probably more pleasant of a walk in summer than in winter, and the hot tub itself is outside. Our kids ended up using the hot tub in our friends' complex, because it was indoors. Just something to know if it really matters to you.

All in all, we absolutely loved our stay on every level, and we totally would come back again. I asked the kids whether they'd want to stay someplace they could stay WITH our friends, and they said they'd rather stay here and have friends nearby because they loved the condo so much. Enthusiastic 5 stars!

We enjoyed our stay at this Big Sky condo and appreciate how easy it was to work with the owner. Great location, nice kitchen, outdoor deck with gas grill and a lovely view of the mountains, comfortable furniture and in-unit laundry.
