My family spent a week at this rental home in July 2007. It was the best home rental we have rented yet. We have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Both boys loved the swing set and sand box. The home had additional fun stuff that wasn't mentioned. There were games, books and movies. The basement had a foos ball table, 2 stand up arcade games along with many other toys. While this is a rural location it was only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Stillwater. The rural location made for lots of wildlife. The owners had several bird feeders and a big block of food that the deer would come and eat off every morning. We saw many different kinds of birds. Cardinals, Oreal's, Canarys, Finches and many others I have never seen. We also saw 3 families of wild turkeys that would wander through the property each afternoon. There were also many fruit trees that had lots of ripening fruit. Basically, I did not feel like I was staying in a rental home but more like a home that was clean, well stocked and well cared for. Thanks for listing this home for rent. Next time I come to Minnesota I will definitely be wanting to stay again.

My family (6 adults, 1 toddler) stayed for 3 nights just after Christmas. It couldn't have been better. It was close to the Twin Cities for those who needed to go into work, close to Stillwater for those who wanted to browse the shops, and still had the feeling of truly being away from it all off of a dirt road in the woods (hearing the horses in the background). The floor-plan is very comfortable for a group. People can be in the living room for "together time" or go into their own rooms for privacy. Very modern, yet cozy (with all of the Christmas decorations). We'd love to go back in the fall and go biking on the nearby trail. Highly recommend for low-key relaxation.

We stayed here for Christmas, and found it delightful. Everytime I would think of something I needed-there it was! We had 4 adults and 4 kids (We brought our own cots) and we had a GREAT time. I would love to come back and stay again sometime. We had another family over for dinner one night, and I don't think we saw the kids al evening, they had so much fun in the basement. It was a cozy and memorable place to stay. In Addition, they had decorated the cabin for Christmas, complete with Christmas tree-I think they had more decorations than we did at home! It was so warm and relaxing.

Our family of four (daughters age 18 and 9 yrs old) stayed in the Stillwater Cabin for 4 nights. The cabin is easy to locate. We were impressed at the large plowed parking area. The fully furnished cabin more than met our expectations and needs. This would be a great place to stay with young children-they have thought to provide almost everything (from toys to a potty seat and pack'n play). In one of the closets you will find boots and snowshoes if you decide to go for a hike. We were able to spend quality time together playing some of the many games in the cupboards, cooking together or watching movies wrapped up in the fleece blankets. The movies provided were not only classics but also recently released. I wish I had checked out the selection sooner because we ran out of time before we ran out of yet-to-be-seen movies. The cabin has a cozy feeling, yet roomy for those times when the girls needed their own space. It was very convenient to have the WI-FI connection. The game room in the basement was a popular place for my husband and 9 yr old. They had daily foos ball tournaments. Our last evening we dined at Phil and Tara's Hideaway. It was a very good choice to wrap up our stay in Stillwater. The food was bursting with flavor in realistic portions. The service was friendly and efficient. On our last morning at the cabin my husband and I watched a group of 4 deer bed down by the old barn foundation while we enjoyed our coffee. Our whole family really enjoyed our time and hope to make it an annual getaway. Since being home I have told everyone I cross paths with that they would enjoy staying at the cabin, too.

Our family gathered here for a long Thanksgiving weekend together. It was COLD outside but always warm inside. My two grandchildren are age two & four. What fun they had! Aunts & uncle, Grandma & Grandpa & TOYS. We found kid's puzzles & games in the cupboards, dolls & doll furniture in a closet, children's movies in the TV stand & then there was the basement -- tons of fun toys down there. We were there 4 nights and I don't know if we even found all the toys. We all enjoyed the cabin, nicely designed for relaxing together or cooking together. The oven cooked up a wonderful Thanksgiving Day turkey. We even found fun children's plates in the kitchen cupboards. There must be good shopping nearby because a couple of my daughters got up at 3:00 a.m. on Friday to catch the good sales. My favorite was sitting at the table with a cup of coffee enjoying the sunshine and watching all the birds at the feeders and occassionally some deer. Out for a walk one afternoon with my granddaughter after a fresh snowfall, we found where three deer had bedded down near the cabin. We would recommend this cabin to anyone, we found it to be a clean & comfortable place tucked into the woods.

My daughters and I found this cabin on line and rented it for my sister's wedding weekend. We had friends and family stay with us throughout our stay. It was a great place to gather, have meals, and relax. It's so clean and completely equipped with everything you need. It's not a long drive to down town Stillwater, either. I loved the peaceful setting. We had wild turkeys and deer visit us, too! We're ready to come back. Thanks for everything!

4 friends stayed at this house for 4 nights in January. It was a wonderful experience. They have thought of everything in this home (except a fireplace) so you really do have the comforts of home. The home was exceptionally clean and we enjoyed the deer that came to the feeders every afternoon - a great winter retreat that we would highly recommend and will try to come back to next year.

We attended a family wedding in Stillwater, and rented this house as our base of operations. It was so quiet and secluded....lots of wildlife, deer, squirrels, wild turkeys, rabbits....lots of colorful birds at the birdfeeders. Large front porch with an old fashioned radio to listen to music and comfortable furniture on the porch as well as tables to dine on. Back deck overlooks beautiful yard...also has large table and chairs. Inside house spacious w/3 BR....downstairs laundry and wonderful playroom. (keep door at top of steps closed for small children (steep stairs!) We had a wonderful time and highly reccommend the property. The owners were delightful to work with....answered our questions, were helpful, and kept the birds happy with full feeders! De and Mo
