"We enjoyed our condo stay. Easy walks to art studios, shopping and eateries, mostly high end. Easy access to main highways and best of all for us - close to hiking trail heads. We appreciated the lit parking space. The condo was clean and comfortable. No complaints here."

  • Excellent Rental

"My husband and I have rented from vrbo in the past and we've also rented from rental agencys all over the country and I must say that this has been by far the best we have ever rented. The owners have supplied this house like a home. The only thing they ask of the renters is that you replenish what you use. That was an easy task. We didn't use the pool but the hot tub was wonderful and heated up very quickly so we could wait till evening and turn the heat on. About a half an hour later, it was hot. I read where previous renters had issued with the keys in the doors. My husband fixed that very quickly as we had the same issues. He took the door knobs apart and lubed them. Easy fix and keys now work very well. He also tried to fix the extra garage remote which was not working but had no luck with that. Anyone who rents this place does need to read the book the owners have created on using the equipment in the house. It does make a big difference when you want something to work. Another really good thing is if you have any problems or questions, all you have to do is e-mail the owner and she responds very quickly. If we are ever in the area again, we definitely would stay at this house again."

  • Simply the best

"We've stayed at many VRBOs, in terrific locations, but this Casita in Tucson is the best. The Casita itself is beautifully appointed, and roomy, but it's the (private) patio and gardens that take the experience over the top. We came to Tucson for a "home base" for some birdwatching. Little did we know that the birding at the Casita would rival anything we found elsewhere -- Karen has birdfeeders up in numerous locations. We saw gila and ladder-backed woodpeckers, Costa's and broad-billed hummers, verdin, curve-billed thrasher, mourning doves, Gambel's quail and many more -- all in our bathrobes on the patio. Never before had we heard of bathrobe birding!! Jim and Karen are terrific hosts, we had great talks on their deck during happy hour. Treat yourselves to a stay at the Casita!!"

  • month-long stay at Sleepy Dog

"We stayed at the Sleepy Dog guest house for a month in January/February 2015. Overall, we had a good experience, and the house is funky and fun for what it best is - an authentic Bisbee retreat. The location and views are exceptional (we enjoyed the 50 steps leading up to the house), the bed was exceptionally comfy, and the heaters worked well to keep the whole house comfortable on below-freezing nights. The property manager was quick to address all questions and concerns we had during our stay. We’d recommend this place highly for a short-term stay, especially if you want to experience staying in what feels like ‘authentic Bisbee.’ For longer stays, know that the shower attachment onto the clawfoot bathtub is unwieldy, you’ll have to air-dry laundry, there is no cable/dish on the TV, and the kitchen pots/pans for baking are basic (line pans with nonstick tinfoil). Closet space is very limited."
