  • Great location.

"We return year after year to this lovely guest house. We enjoy our private patio where we relax, enjoy the flowers, and grill. The property is set in among the traditional, adobe neighborhoods and near the University of Arizona. We bike to the swimming pool, grocery store, university, campus town, fourth avenue district and Tucson town center. The location near eateries and the fully equipped kitchen make it equally convenient to eat out or cook in. The entire property is beautifully appointed with lots of light and movement of fresh air. Bonnie and Steve are a pleasure, always friendly and committed to making our stay enjoyable in every way they can."

  • Unique house, great location

"Casa Amapola was a great house for the five of us who gathered there from three states for a weeklong family Christmas celebration – as well as the two of us who stayed on for another couple of weeks to enjoy its tranquility at the edge of the desert. The owners have created an exciting and at the same time comfortable space inside and out with their intriguing art objects throughout the house and the lovely cactus garden in a private poolside patio area behind it. Our dog enjoyed spending much of his days in that enclosed area – and so did we, especially because of the dramatic view it offered of the mountains. While the quiet neighborhood is so far out toward the desert that we spotted coyotes and a family of javelinas, its closeness to the interstate allowed us to quickly be in the center of Tucson – a great combination."

  • Quiet, comfortable and a short walk to town!

"We visited Bisbee for the first time last weekend and had a fabulous stay in the main (upstairs) unit at Sun Country Guest House. The location is perfect, with High Desert Market and Café (for breakfast and groceries), Screaming Banshee Pizza (for lunch) or the Bisbee Royale (for dinner or a movie) all just a five-minute walk away, and the rest of the many sights of Old Bisbee just ten minutes further east. If you don’t feel like walking into town on a given morning, then you can sit on the peaceful front porch and enjoy the sounds of birds chirping and the sun-dappled views of the surrounding hillsides ... Aside from its ideal location, we also appreciated the cozy bedroom, the spacious kitchen, and the newly renovated bathroom in the upstairs unit. Overall, we found the property to be quiet, comfortable, and easily accessible, whether driving from Tucson or walking into town. We would recommend it without hesitation to anyone who is planning to visit Bisbee, especially for the first time."
