"Casa Encantada is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting with a great location. Thank you, Gary, for sharing. We spent ten days there the end of April/beginning of May this year. The house itself is a marvelous classic adobe-style house dressed up with Barragan-inspired interior colors, a phantasmagorical mosaic in the bathroom and an extensive collection of wooden, clay and etc. figures, creatures and critters scattered throughout. The setting is lovely, the surrounding desert a superb mix of native plants with Sombrero Peak looming in the distance. We were lucky enough to be there when the Palo Verde were in bloom, so both the area around the house and the flanks of the mountains in the distance to the west and south were covered with their yellow blooms -- a truly marvelous time to be there. Of course we were in the hot tub every afternoon following busy days doing this and that. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking (with every pot, pan and gadget you could wish for), which we did every night but one with provisions from Food City, our favorite market. The master bedroom was comfortable and the living room perfect for evening reading (lounging and stretch-out space, well lit). All in all, a perfectly marvelous place to recover from an active day and spend a restful evening. We recommend Casa Encantada without reservation and look forward to returning."

Secret Gem - I Almost Don't Want to Leave a Review!
"This rental was truly a great find - I almost don't want to recommend it so it stays more of a secret. ;-)
This one-level house was just perfect for me, my hubby, our 4-legged critters, and our friends. You can easily host 8+ people at this rental without a problem and there's ample parking! The rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and towels, and the covered back porch offered some really beautiful views and outside seating. Not to mention - it was incredibly quiet and secluded-feeling, which is a huge plus for us! :-) There are also some little trails on the property that are maintained well (dirt-packed) if you want to take a little stroll.
Like another reviewer mentioned - don't be deterred by the lack of an oven. There's a grocery store within about 10 minutes and it was easy enough to buy microwavable breakfast items and great fresh fruit. There is also a good-sized grill on the back porch - perfect for lunches and dinners. There's also plenty of dishes and silverware.
Bottom line: WE LOVED IT and it has definitely become our #1 go-to rental in Tucson."

Wonderful home, will definetly stay again in the future!
"This home is not only lovely, but very well maintained and in close proximity to everything we were seeking to do! Our stay here was to spend some quality family time together and make new family memories. Not only was our stay wonderful, the home was very comfortable and we enjoyed each moment in it. I highly recommend it and will be staying again in the future. The owner and property manager were very accommodating and such nice people. We feel very fortunate to have stayed at this wonderful home and look forward to future return visits!"

"We had a group of 8 that traveled to the Tucson area for an annual golf trip. This house was a gem and fit our needs perfectly. I would highly recommend this house as one cannot say much, if anything, bad about it. Bill, the owner, met us upon arrival, let us know about the operation of the pool/spa and also answered any questions we had.
Secluded, so privacy was never an issue but close to golf and amenities (groceries within 5 minutes and golf within 10). The furniture was all of a good quality and comfortable. The house was clean and well maintained. It is difficult to think of a negative with regards to the property. We did have an issue one day with the controls to the pool/spa system but the pool guy came over immediately assisted us so that it was a non issue.
Again, I would have to say that I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a house on a huge, scenic lot yet in a convenient location."
