  • Nice, comfortable, and clean!

"The listing was accurate. The property was clean. There was no hot water the first night. Took a bit to get the hot water heater started, but after that everything was great! I would recommend this property. A couple of restaurants we recommend are The Beached Whale and Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille."

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"Everything about this property was perfect for our family of four! The house is spacious, well stocked and immaculately cared for. The furniture, bedding and high quality appliances were like new...which even made cooking and laundry an enjoyable part of the vacation! :) The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with both the kids and adults...both set to the perfect temp for the 80+ degree late-December weather (we hear we got lucky with a warmer than usual week). We were glad we opted for renting the boat with the property; although an older vessel, it was perfect for our needs...a good size, reliable, and so convenient with the dock right out back. I'd say it takes about 20 minutes to get from the house to open water, but even trolling through the canals looking at the beautiful houses was fun. The marina/fuel station is just outside the canal area, and is manned by super friendly gentlemen (you can expect fuel to be at least $1 more a gallon than at the local gas station). We took the boat to Cayo Costa (which is accessible only by boat but a fair distance away...at least a 60 minute boat ride) and found lots of shells to include sand dollars...we also saw numerous dolphin along the way. We spent a day looking for shells on Sanibel as well and ate at the quaint Grandma Dot's restaurant at the marina (note: there are tolls going to Sanibel and back to Cape Coral, about $8 for each round trip so cash is handy). The boys enjoyed their charter fishing excursion with Captain George Howell--they caught at least 9 different species including a shark on their 4 hour excursion (they estimate they caught about 40 fish, but you know how fishermen can tell a tale!). Lastly, Mary Jane and Kevin the property managers next door were superb...always available when we had questions but never intrusive. If/when we return to Cape Coral, this will definitely be our top property pick! P.S. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and accessories I needed (we ate most meals at the house) but if you are a baker, you may want to bring your own cookie sheet."
